TERRY L. KINNIE
RAWLINGS -- Terry L. Kinnie, 47, of 24933 Walker's Flat Road, SW, Rawlings, died Friday, April 13, 2001, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born on June 25, 1953, at Winchester, he was a son of Thomas Scott Kinnie of McCoole, and the late Betty Alice (Price) Kinnie.
Mr. Kinnie was employed as a salvage winder at the Westvaco Luke Mill. He was a 1971 graduate of Bruce High School. He was an avid bowler and softball player and his life was dedicated to his family, especially his two grandsons.
Surviving in addition to his father are his wife of 22 years, Christal J. (McGinnis) Kinnie; two daughters, Sara B. Kinnie, Keyser, W.Va., and Patricia A. Kinnie, at home; four brothers, John Kinnie and wife Sheila, Gilmore, Scott Kinnie and wife Wanda, Keyser, Steve Kinnie and wife Debbie, Keyser, and Dana Kinnie, McCoole; two sisters, Susie Long and husband Junior, Erie, Pa., and Brenda VanMeter and husband Tom, McCoole; two grandsons, Deshawn and Tyrae Barmore; his father and mother-in-law, Sonny and Rose McGinnis, McCoole; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may cal at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 3 to 4 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday at 4 p.m. with the Rev. James Williamson and the Rev. Daniel Garlitz officiating.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to a trust fund which has been established for Mr. Kinnie's grandsons, Deshawn and Tyrae. BLANCHE V. DAVIS
CUMBERLAND -- Blanche V. "Tooter" Davis, 67, of Race Street, Cumberland, formerly of Locust Grove, went to be with the Lord and joining her husband on Friday, April 13, 2001, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 4, 1934, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Blanche C. (McAtee) Rockwell, Cumberland, and the late Albert T. Rockwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra C. Davis, Nov. 9, 2000; one son, Junior Lee Davis; one brother, Albert T. Rockwell Jr.; and one sister, Elaine Henderson.
Mrs. Davis was a former employee of the Blind Industries and Slumberland Motel. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and was a volunteer for HRDC Community Food Program. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her mother, surviving are three daughters, Carol A. Beeman and fiance Frank R. Humbertson, Oldtown, Mona L. Harper and husband Gary, and Robin L. Sills and husband Steven, all of Cumberland; one son, Donald W. Davis, Locust Grove; five grandchildren, Terri L. Rinehart and husband Kevin, Cumberland, James A. Martin Jr., Oldtown, Samantha L. Yacenech and husband Michael, Crystal G. Hamilton and husband John and Tonya M. Sills, all of Cumberland; six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Edward Rockwell and wife Angela, Port Orange, Fla., Harvey Rockwell and wife Terri, Ronald Rockwell and wife Jodie, all of Cumberland, and Robert Rockwell and wife Susan, West Virginia; three sisters, Alberta Taylor and husband Virgil, Barbara Mabee and Deanna Rockwell, all of Cumberland; and a special sister-in-law, Mildred Phillips, Fort Hill, Pa.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Capacchione officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be Michael Yacenech, John Hamilton, Jason Mabee, Mike Logsdon, Bruce Thomas and Arthur Bunbasi.
GOLDIE P. SMITH
ROMNEY, W.Va. -- Goldie P. Smith, 92, of Romney, died Friday, April 13, 2001, at the Hampshire Health Care Center, Romney.
Born Feb. 22, 1909, in Slanesville, she was the daughter of the late Wilber S. and Nellie (Hott) Shanholtz. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Buss" Eugene Smith; one daughter, Peggy Eldridge; one grandson; four brothers; and six sisters.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Romney United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Daughters of the American Revolution; and a past member of the Romney Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary Hampshire Post 91.
Surviving are one daughter, Jean S. Moler, Newport News, Va.; one sister, Clara Shanholtz, Martinsburg; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Shirley D. Wolford and Betty Jo Bohrer, both of Romney; and several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, on Monday, April 16, from 3 to 5 p.m.
The funeral will be Tuesday, April 17, at 11 a.m. at the Shaffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon and Brother Daniel Combs officiating.
Interment will be in the Indian Mound Cemetery, Romney.
ZENA D. HARTMAN
KEYSER, W.Va. - Zena Dayton Hartman, 94, formerly of Piedmont-Keyser Road, Keyser, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home, where she had been a resident.
Born near Franklin, on Feb. 11, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Sebaldus and Della (Lambert) Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, W. Arthur Hartman in 1990; a son, William A. Hartman in 1995; a daughter, Joyce Eversole in 1997; and a granddaughter, Tina Hyde.
Mrs. Allee was a homemaker and an avid flower gardner. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, McKinley Chapter #12 Order of Eastern Star and Past Mother Advisor for Rainbow Girls Assembly #6, Cumberland.
Mrs. Hartman was a member of Westernport Church of the Brethren. Surviving are four daughters, Helen Imperio of Keyser, Deloris Shears of Keyser, Anne Shirley Hyde of Fort Ashby, and Frances Green of Keyser; one son, Carl Hartman of New Creek; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Goldie Harper of Virginia.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Md., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Westernport Church of the Brethren on Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ervin Huston officiating.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Outreach Program of the Church of the Brethren.
ELIZABETH C. ROBISON
MOUNT SAVAGE - Elizabeth Catherine Robison, 96, of Calla Hill Road, NW, Mount Savage, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at the Sacred Heart Hospital In-Patient Hospice Unit.
Born on Feb. 15, 1905, in Midland, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (McGreevy) Hoye. Mrs. Robison was also preceded in death by her husband, Clayton C. Robison Sr. in 1974; one son, Clayton Robison Jr. in 1975; one infant daughter, Mary Robison; one sister, Helen Weimer; and one grandson, Scott Lindner.
She was a member of Saint Patrickıs Catholic Church, Mount Savage.
Mrs. Robison is survived by two sons, Bernard Robison and wife Judy, Mount Savage, and Joseph Robison and wife Patricia, Mount Savage; four daughters, Bonnie E. Gaughan and husband Richard, Mount Savage, Delores Robison, Mount Savage, Rose Marie Winebrenner, Mount Savage, Emilie Lindner and husband Gary, Cumberland; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Eleanor Robison, Mount Savage.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers for the departed will be recited at the funeral home on Sunday at 7 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Patrickıs Catholic Church on Monday at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Milton Hipsley as celebrant.
Interment will be in Saint Michaelıs Cemetery, Frostburg.
HALEY J. SHOOK
CUMBERLAND - Haley Jaden Shook, 6 months, of 122 Independence St., Cumberland, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at Memorial Hospital.
Born on Oct. 3, 2000, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., she was the daughter of Marshall Alan Shook II, and Christina Lynn Bucy.
Surviving besides her parents are paternal grandparents, Marshall A. Shook and Vicki L. (Schell) Shook; paternal great-grandmother, Margie Shook; paternal great-grandparents, Kenneth Schell and Sandy (Love) Schell; maternal grandmother, Vicky (Johnson) Pattison and husband Scott; maternal grandfather, Charles Bucy; maternal great-grandparents, Stanley ³Sonny² Johnson and Shirley (Westfall) Johnson; maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Arnold, all of Cumberland; two brothers, Marshall III, and Michael Shook; three sisters, Katlyn, Keirstin and Tanaya Shook, all of Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Saturday from 12 noon until 1 p.m.
