EVERETT, Pa. -- Mrs. Effie Imes, 102, of Everett, died in Pennknoll Village on Aug. 19, 2001.
She was born April 25, 1899, in Mann Township, a daughter of the late George W. and Mary Elizabeth (Fletcher) Clingerman.
She was married
to Perry Imes, who preceded her in death Dec. 30, 1958.
She is survived by the following children, Mary Lou wife of Robert Baker, Wiley Ford, W.Va., Richard Imes, Everett, married
to former Mereta Grimes, Genevieve wife of Robert Beegle, Everett; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Lyda Dibert, June 30, 2000 and these brothers and sisters, Harry and Conda Mills, Ira Ode, Kelly, Guy, Carl, and Lester Clingerman, Ida Miller and Dessie Ward.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Clearville.
Friends may call at the Dalle Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to the services.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, 11 a.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church, Clearville with the Rev. Karen Wright officiating.
Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
RUTH E. CAVEY
BLOOMINGTON -- Ruth Eileen Cavey, 62, of North Branch Avenue, Bloomington, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at her residence.
Born in Bloomington, on Sept. 20, 1938, she was the daughter of Edris (Elliot) Bosley of Moran Manor Nursing Home, Westernport and the late John Bosley. Two brothers, Donald Bosley and John Bosley also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Cavey was a waitress at the former Green's Restaurant and G.C. Murphy's Restaurant. She attended the Bloomington United Methodist Church, and was a member of Victory Unit 155 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of Bloomington Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Leroy Cavey; two sons, Terry Leroy Cavey and Robert Francis Cavey, all of Bloomington; one sister, Margaret Paugh of Backbone Mountain; one brother, Robert Bosley of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Chris, Terry, Andy, Jamie, and Nikki.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Nelson officiating.
Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington.
JAMES F. BOSLEY
LONACONING -- James Fitchue Bosley, 75, of 16012 Upper Rockville St., SW, Lonaconing, passed away on Aug. 17, 2001, at the Egle Nursing Home where he had been a patient for seven months.
Born on April 20, 1926, in Beryl, W.Va., he was the son of the late Grover Bosley and Viola (Evans) Bosley.
He was employed for 26 years as a custodian for the Board of Education through Valley High School. He served in World War II as well as in Italy and Germany and in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Goodwill Volunteer Fire Department Company 1, in Lonaconing. He was a member of the Farrady Post 24 American Legion, Frostburg, and a member of the Alvin C. Neat Post 5280 V.F.W. of Lonaconing. He attended St. Peters Episcopal Church, Lonaconing.
Surviving is his wife, Bertha Elaine (Dye) Bosley; his children, Cheryl Elaine Dorsey, Ridgeley, W.Va., Alfred T. Bosley, Cumberland, James Z. Bosley, Frostburg, and Thomas G. Bosley, Lonaconing; four sisters, Pauline Beavers, Westernport, Geraldine Wolfe, Westernport, Madeline Miller, Lonaconing, Josephine Mason, Mentor, Ohio, and Margie Simpson, Fla.; three brothers, Roger Bosley, Keyser, William Bosley, Keyser, and Donald Bosley, Westernport. He had six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The Goodwill Fire Department members will have a special meeting Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at 7 p.m. and then proceed to the funeral home for a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.
The funeral will take place Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Eichhorn-Mckenzie Funeral Home, P.A., with the Father Leslie R. Miles officiating, and then proceed to the Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be from the Fire Company.
DON R. COLAW SR.
OAKLAND -- Don R. Colaw Sr., 89, of Hutton Road, Oakland, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at the Cuppett-Weeks Nursing Home, Oakland.
Born on April 23, 1912, in Burner, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ernest F. and Blanche (Burger) Colaw. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Shiela Colaw.
He was a member of the Crellin United Methodist Church. A retired coal miner, he was a former employee of the Garrett County Roads Department. He was a life member of L.O.O. Moose Lodge 1395, Terra Alta. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a life member of Proctor Kildow Post 71 American Legion, Oakland.
He is survived by his wife, B. Helena (Ashby) Colaw; three sons, Don R. Colaw Jr., Oakland, Ernest "Sonny" Colaw, Pensacola, Fla., Michael K. Colaw, Oakland; two sisters, Dahlia Barrett and Doris Stoops, both of Frostburg; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, 32 S. Second St., Oakland from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 20, 2001 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bruce Craig officiating.
Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of the various veteran's organizations in southern Garrett County.

EDWARD E. SOLLARS JR.
DEER PARK -- Edward E. "Doc" Sollars Jr., 87, of Deer Park, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born on March 9, 1914, in Deer Park, he was the son of the late Dr. Edward E. Sollars Sr., MD and Mary M. (Georg) Sollars. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen P. (McNemar) Sollars in 1992; one son, Edward E. Sollars III and one grandson, Shaler Ashby.
He was a member of the Deer Park United Methodist Church. He worked as a truck driver, coal miner and lastly as trackman for the B&O Railroad where he was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way. He was a member of Lodge 11, W.O.W., Oakland, the N.R.A., the Oakland Chapter, A.A.R.P., and was retired charter member and current honorary member of the Deer Park Community Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Gordy, Crete, Ill., Mary Helen Doerr, Thompson, Ohio; a special friend, Mary Jane Miller, Deer Park; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, 32 S. Second St., Oakland from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Skipper officiating.
Interment will be in the Deer Park Cemetery.

SYKESVILLE -- Ruth D. Weise, 83, of 6160 Timdan Court, Sykesville, formerly of Cumberland, died on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, in Carroll County Hospital.
Friends will be received at the Hafer Funeral Home, Chapel of the Hills, 1302 National Hwy., LaVale, MD 21502, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 1 p.m.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be Walter W. Weise III, Walter W. Weise IV, David E. Weise, Curtis N. Weise, Paul Athey, Kenneth L. Lough, Larry Lough and Paul Appel Jr.
ROBERT E. MARTIN
FROSTBURG -- Robert E. "Sonny" Martin, 61, of Frostburg, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Dec. 22, 1939, in Barrelville, he was the son of the late Robert A. "Bunk" and Lillian (Jack) Martin. He was also predeceased by his sister, Sandra Fuller and brother-in-law, "Mike" Diehl.
Mr. Martin was sole proprietor of Sonny's Antiques, Virginia Avenue, Cumberland.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara J. (Diehl) Martin; two sisters, Juanita Shaffer and husband Paul, Mexico Farms and Sharon Vanderhout and husband Leo, Elkridge; brother-in-law, Bobbie A. Fuller Sr.; a special nephew, Michael N. Kephart, Burlington, W.Va.; three other nephews, Stuart Shaffer and wife Frances, Bobbie A. Fuller Jr. and wife Paula, and Travis Vanderhout; niece, Monica Powell; two grand nieces, Brittany Shaffer and Danielle Powell and two grand nephews, Robert A. Fuller and Billy Powell; parents-in-law, Harry "Cookie" and Catherine Cook and sister-in-law, Susan Kephart and husband Gale; and special friends, Ray and Jean Hilkey.
His body has been cremated.
A Memorial Service will be held at Frostburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at 2 p.m. with John Richmond officiating.
Private inurnment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Frostburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses or the charity of choice.
