ZELMA L. NELSON
KITZMILLER -- Zelma Louise Nelson, 75, died Thursday, July 12, 2001, at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born Aug. 30, 1925, in Tunnelton, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late, Walter and Florence Stewart.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband, Dempsey Nelson. Also surviving are four sisters, Christina Kent of Mount Lake Park, Mary Shaffer of Cumberland, Bessie Stark and Beatrice Seamon, both of Baltimore; also several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Daivd A. Burdock Funeral Home in Kitzmiller where friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. George Tichinel officiating.
Interment is in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Mount Zion.
ROSE H. WHITE
OAKLAND -- Rose H. White, 95, of E. Pennington St., Oakland, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born on Sept. 5, 1905, in Oakland,she was the daughter of the late Richard N. and Mary H. (O'Conner) Murphy. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Kerins, and Ada Murphy; four brothers, John Murphy, Joseph Murphy, Clarence Murphy, and Patrick Murphy.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by one niece, Delores R. Thompson and husband Everett, Frostburg.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, 32 South Second St., Oakland, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday.
A Mass of Christian Burial wil be held at the St. Peters Catholic Church on Saturday, July 14, 2001, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Rev. Don Parsons officiating.
Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
DENZIL HILE
OAKLAND -- Denzil HIle, 74, of E. Oak St., Oakland, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, after a lengthy illness with leukemia.
Born on Oct. 25, 1926, in Pierce, W.Va., he was the son of the late Russell C. and Beatrice G. (Evans) Hile.
He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Mount Lake Park, a member of the Oakland Chapter 67 O.E.S., Oakland. He was also a member of the Oakland Lodge 192 A.F. and A.M., where he was a past Tyler, a member of the Cumberland Consistory Scottish Rite, and a member of Proctor Kildow Post 71 American Legion, Oakland. He served in the Navy during World War II, and retired from Allegany Power in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Wilda J. (Arnold) Hile, Oakland; two sons, Steven C. Hile and wife Valinda, Greensburg, Pa., Jeffrey Hile and wife Linda, Frederick; one sister, Betty L. Burger, Weirton; two grandchildren, Corey G. Hile and Ethan M. Hile, both of Greensburg; and one step-grandson, Jeremy Helmick and wife Katie, Frederick.
At Mr. Hile's request his body will be cremated.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, 32 South Second St., Oakland from 1 to 4 p.m.
A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, and the O.E.S. Memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Bethel United Methodist Church, Mount Lake Park, on Sunday, July 15, 2001, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Hickman officiating.

ALDEN L. LIGHT
RAINSBURG, Pa. -- Alden Lloyd Light, 64, of 108 Liberty Street-Rainsburg, Bedford, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at UPMC Bedford Memorial, Snake Spring Township.
Born in Paw Paw, W.Va., on Monday, June 14, 1937, he was the son of the late Charles W. Light and Iola P. (Twigg) Light who survives him of Berlin.
He retired from International Union of Operating Engineers in 1997 and was a CART driver for Area Agency on Aging.
He was the husband of Jacqueline (Beegle) Light.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother and son, Lloyd W. Light husband of Judi, Dubois; son, Barry L. Light husband of Wanda, Summerville; son, Darwin K. Light husband of Kay, Bellefonte; daughter, Sabrina M. Gaunt, Clarion; son, Phillip D. Light, Pittsburgh; daughter, Heather S. Light at home; brother, Charles F. Light, Middletown; brother, Wendell K. Light, Akron, Ohio. He is also survived by nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Carroll W. Light in 1956, and an infant daughter.
Friends are invited to call Saturday, 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
Funeral services will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Willaim Defibaugh officiaitng.
Interment at Woods Church Cemetery.
KENNETH DONALDSON
LONACONING -- Kenneth Donaldson, 63, of 37 Charlestown St., Lonaconing, died July 12, 2001, at his residence.
Born Feb. 9, 1938, in Lonaconing, a son of the late Billy Donaldson and Marie (Nicol) Donaldson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Racheal Elizabeth Donaldson, on July 9, 1995; one sister, Joan Brennan and a grandson, Christopher Donaldson.
Mr. Donaldson was retired from Quality Supplier where he served as head of the maintenance department. He was a member of the Keyser Moose Lodge.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda Sue Donaldson, Ridgeley, W.Va., Julie Lynn Donaldson, Cumberland, and Sherry Ann Mauney, Lonaconing; two sisters, Helen Lease, Frostburg, and Sharon Bohlen, Perry Hall; one brother, Gary Donaldson, New York; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Friday and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. George Loar officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
Pallbearers will be Nick Donaldson, Tommy Coleman, Eric Elliott, Willie Hawley, Troy Brant and John Ray Brennan.
EULAH F. KIFER
ARTEMAS, Pa. -- Eulah Faye Kifer, 83, of 340 Lashley Road, Artemas, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at Western Maryland Health System, Memorial Campus.
Born May 17, 1918, in Artemas, she was the daughter of the late Bruce Collins and Emmaline (Imes) Collins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Franklin Kifer, Feb. 7, 1968.
Mrs. Kifer was a devoted mother and homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Gerald Kifer, at home, and Gary Kifer, Artemas; two daughters, Shelby Robinson, Artemas, and Linda Smith Woodbridge, Va.; a brother, Theodore Collins, and wife Margurite, Alton, Ill.; nine granchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Douglas W. Seaman officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
NELLIE L. SCHLOSSNAGLE
OAKLAND -- Nellie Lurene Schlossnagle, 97, of Bridgewater, Va., formerly of Oakland, died Thursday, July 12, 2001, in Bridgewater.
She was born July 9, 1904, in Accident, and was a daughter of the late John Spoerlein and Dora (Dodge) Spoerlein. She was married
Sept. 20, 1924, to Elwood Scholssnagle, who preceded her in death in 1970.
She was a member of the Oak Park Church of the Brethren before moving to Bridgewater when she became a member of the Bridgewater church of The Brethren.
She is survived by one son, John E. Schlossnagle of Oakland; two daughters, Helen V. Harsh, Bridgewater and Janet L. Earhart, Harrisonburg; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home in Oakland on Saturday from 2 -4 and 7b t o 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Gortner Union Church on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Matthews.
Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
