GEORGE R. BOBO
OAKLAND -- George Robert "Bob" Bobo, 69, of Oakland, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Cuppett-Weeks Nursing Home.
Born on Aug. 16, 1931, in Carrollton, Ky., he was the son of the late George and Berta (Long) Bobo. Mr. Bobo was reared in Grove City, Pa., and worked there as a major coal operator. He attended the Culver Military Academy and was a graduate of Grove City College. He owned and operated Cornish Manor Restaurant for 26 years. He and his wife had been residents of Alpine Lake, W.Va., before moving to Oakland.
Surviving are his wife, Maureen "Patty" Bobo; one son, David Bobo, Ontario, N.Y.; two daughters, Stephanie Johnson, Jamestown, N.Y., and Jill Collins, Rodchester, N.Y.; one brother, Philip Bobo, Largo, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Little Log Church, Altamont, Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Grant and the Rev. Michael Daniels officiating.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.

EMMETT E. ROHRBAUGH
BURLINGTON, W.Va. -- Emmett E. Rohrbaugh, 82, of Route 1, Box 143, Burlington, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born on Feb. 3, 1919, in Maysville, he was the son of the late Albert M. and Lucy (Veach) Rohrbaugh. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Annie (McDowell) Anderson Rohrbaugh; his wife, Audrey V. (Cannon) Rohrbaugh on Feb. 14, 2001; one grandson, Douglas James Rohrbaugh; three brothers, Victor, Delmer and Ray Rohrbaugh; and two sisters, Myrtle Dolly and an infant.
Mr. Rohrbaugh was a life long farmer. He retired with 14 years of service with the West Virginia Department of Highways as a truck driver and was a member of the Harness Run Church of the Brethren, Burlington. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of Boyce-Houser Post #41, American Legion, Keyser.
Surviving are two sons, Raymond E. Rohrbaugh and wife JoAnn, Burlington, Melvin E. Rohrbaugh and wife Connie, Burlington; three daughters, Frances L. Dolly and husband George, New Creek, Nancy M. Champ and husband Carl, Old Fields, and Faye A. Wilson, Romney; one brother, Wayne Rohrbaugh, Delray; one sister, Violet Anderson, Longmont, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Samuel Biser officiating.
Interment will be in the Davis Cemetery, Antioch.
The Boyce-Houser Post #41, American Legion, will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m.

CECELIA M. HARDMAN
CUMBERLAND -- Cecelia Margaret Hardman, 87, of Devlin Manor Nursing Home, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 28, 2001.
Born on July 7, 1913, in Cumberland, she was the youngest daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Harden and Grace Minerva (Welsh) Harden. She was also preceded in death by two beloved husbands and stepfathers, Herbert C. (Pete) Price on May 29, 1957, and Joseph Blair Hardman Sr. on May 19, 1979. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Harold and Walter Harden; and two sisters, Lena Devilbliss and Mary Thomas.
Surviving are three daughters, Wilma (Crowe) Dudeck and husband Paul, LaVale, grandchildren, Jeff Dudeck and wife Rhonda, Waynesboro, Pa., and Kim Anthony, Hagerstown; daughter, Patricia (Crowe) Hartsock, Waldorf, and grandchildren, Debbie Scott, Paul Hartsock and wife Regina of Waldorf; daughter, Evelyn (Crowe) Hardman and husband Lloyd, Cumberland, and grandchildren, Diana Heidel, Florida, Lloyd Hardman and wife Rhonda, Cumberland, Sandra Hardman, Cumberland, Rodney Hardman and wife Kelly, West Virginia; a son, Carl W. Price and wife Kim, Vine Grove, Ky., and grandchildren, Jeanie Price, Kentucky, Kym Willey and husband Brian, Ohio. Also seven stepsons, Blair Hardman Jr., Kenneth Hardman, Edward Hardman, Royce Hardman, Lloyd Hardman, Willis Hardman, Robert Hardman; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Dorothy Morgan, Mrs. Donna Cessna, Mrs. Judy Cessna and Mrs. Peggy Stokes; 50 step-grandchildren; 70 step-great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-great-grandchildren.
As a young woman, Cecelia worked at the Celanese Fibers Corporation of America, later becoming a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, William Paul Hartsock, Lloyd (Buck) Hardman, Jeffery Scott Dudeck, Rodney Lee Hardman, John Collins and Royce Hardman.

CUMBERLAND -- Friends will be received for Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Brinker Smith at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m.

JAMES R. BRANT SR.
CUMBERLAND -- James R. Brant Sr., 87, formerly of 510 Franklin St., Cumberland, died Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at Allegany County Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 8, 1913, in Johnstown, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles Madison Brant and Laura (Bridegum) Brant. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Schade) Brant in 1994.
Mr. Brant Sr., was a retired employee for the city of Cumberland where he worked for the Evitts Creek Water Company. He was a former member of Ali Ghan Shrine Country Club, Tall Cedars, Scottish Rite, Knights Templer, and Fort Cumberland Lodge A.F. and A.M.
He is survived by a daughter, Charlene Shafer and husband Carl, Cumberland; a son, James R. Brant Jr. and wife Nancy, Cumberland; a sister, Lois Chastain, Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren, Bruce A. Shafer and wife Carla, David C. Shafer and wife Lisa, James E. Shafer and wife Connie, Lori A. Bean and husband Greg, Tanna Durst and husband David all of Cumberland and Greg Brant of Washington, D.C.; and ten great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Friday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ken L. Korns officiating.

DONALD E. VALENTINE
CUMBERLAND -- Donald Eugene Valentine, 74, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at his residence.
Born on Nov. 24, 1926, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late George Chester and Marietta (Crowe) Valentine.
Mr. Valentine was a former employee of Beneman's Furniture Store. He was retired from the Allegany County Board of Education. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he was stationed in Italy, a 1944 graduate of Allegany High School and a member of Mapleside United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Nora Lee (Burns) Valentine; two aunts, Vivian Snyder and Dorothy Crowe, both of Mount Savage; two nephews, Steve Hidey and wife Sue, and Bob Hidey and wife Debbie, all of Cumberland; five great-nephews; one great-niece; and his dog, Boots. Mr. Valentine will be missed by his family and friends, and he never met a stranger.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Charles F. Riggleman officiating.
Interment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery.
Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Mapleside United Methodist Church.
ALLEN R. KNIBIEHLY
SPRINGFIELD, W.Va. -- Allen Raymond "Bones" Knibiehly, 42, of Springfield, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at his home.
Born on May 31, 1959, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Christine May (Asserson) Knibiehly, Springfield, and the late Earle Menroe Knibiehly.
Besides his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Patricia Mae Short, Kristien Lorraine Knibiehly and Mary Kathryn Knibiehly, all of Springfield; three brothers, Earle Menroe Knibiehly Jr. and wife Nell, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Eric Steven Knibiehly, Springfield, and Carl Cylan Knibiehly, Cumberland, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial service will be held at the family home.
Allen "Bones", love for life will be missed greatly and remembered well.
