SHORT GAP, W.Va. -- Friends for Louise "Weezie" Brinkman Kenney will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
JACK C. BAILEY
PAW PAW, W.Va. -- Jack Clyde Bailey went home to Heaven on Wednesday, June 20, 2001. He was a patient at the Veterans Administration Nursing Home in Martinsburg.
Born on May 12, 1918, near Paw Paw, he was the son of the late Clyde K. Hood and Laura Bailey Leach.
He served in the CCC's at Camp Morgan at Camp Parsons. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army in the 4th Infantry Regiment. His company was stationed in Alaska in the Aleutians Islands. His decoration and citations where Sharp Shooter, Marksman, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense and Asiatic-Pacific Theater with one Bronze Star.
He retired in 1980 as a school bus driver for the Paw Paw Schools after 29 years of service. He was a member of the Disciples of Christ, Woodrow Church since 1931. He was a 54-year member of the American Legion Harley Bohrer Post No. 128 of Paw Paw. He attended the Paw Paw Bible Church.
Those who are waiting to join him in Heaven are his wife of 28 years, Irene G. Bailey; three stepsons, William J. Gunning of Carlisle, Pa., Petty Officer Henry F. Gunning, USN of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Charles R. Gunning of Lincoln, Ill.; one half-brother, Charles Leach of Great Cacapon; five step-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, his half-brother, Paul Leach, went to Heaven before him.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2001, at the Woodrow Union Church with William Gunning officiating.
Interment will be in the Woodrow Cemetery, Paw Paw.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Kimble Funeral Home in Paw Paw.

At Mrs. Wertz's request her body will be cremated at the Scarpelli Funeral Home Crematorium.
WILLIAM J. CODIRE
PIEDMONT, W.Va. -- William J. Codire, 80, of 156 West Fairview St., Piedmont, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Born in Piedmont on April 19, 1921, he was the son of the late Robert Peter and Mary Ann (Keller) Codire. His brother, Robert Codire Jr. also preceded him in death.
Mr. Codire was a United States Air Force veteran, having served during World War II. He was retired from Westvaco Corp., from the Quality Control Dept. Mr. Codire was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, Md., a member of Kelly Mansfield Post #52, American Legion, Piedmont, and a former member of Tri-Towns Fire Co., Piedmont.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Julia (Mazzone) Codire.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church, on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Father Jerome Dunn as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Westernport.
A Christian Wake service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
WILBERT T. CROWE
MOUNT SAVAGE -- Wilbert T. "Reuben" Crowe, 86, of Schoolhouse Road, Mount Savage, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born on April 28, 1914, in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary Agnes (Collins) Crowe. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Louis "Foxie" Crowe; and two sisters, Martha Bramble and Rose Mary Crowe.
Mr. Crowe was a former bus driver with the Allegany County Board of Education, and he was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Mt. Savage United Methodist Church, Frostburg Senior Citizens, Farrady Post 24 American Legion, Frostburg, and a lifelong member of Mt. Savage Fire Co.
Surviving are one sister, Gladys Crowe, Mount Savage; one brother, Reaford Crowe, Mount Savage; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Richard C. Broome Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Savage Methodist Cemetery.
JACK E. WAGONER
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. -- Jack Eugene Wagoner, 49, of Fort Ashby, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, as a result of an automobile accident along Route 28, near Fort Ashby.
Born on Aug. 13, 1951, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of John H. Wagoner Jr., Fort Ashby, and the late Evelyn G. (Sisk) Wagoner. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by one son, Jason Michael Wagoner; one grandson, Kyle Stotler; and one sister, Brenda Lee Wagoner.
Mr. Wagoner was a member of Trinity United Church, Fort Ashby. He was employed with CSX Transportation, where he worked as a carman.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Flitcraft) Wagoner; five sons, Jonathan Wagoner, Nathan Wagoner, Nathanial Wagoner, Jeremy Wagoner and Corey Wagoner, all of Fort Ashby; three stepsons, Carl Paul Jr., Canton, Ohio, Ronald Lee Paul, Martinsburg, Charles Edward Paul, Ridgeley; one stepdaughter, Tonia Marlene Stotler, Oldtown, Md.; one brother, John David Wagoner, Fort Ashby; two sisters, Judy Ross, Fort Ashby, and Nancy Farmer, Bumpass, Va.; and nine grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dallas Forren officiating.
Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.

DORIS W. GREGORY
SYKESVILLE -- Doris Wilma Gregory, 66, of Sykesville, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at the Carroll County General Hospital, Westminster.
Born on Oct. 21, 1934, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Pearl Stafford Rice. She was the wife of James Arch Gregory of Sykesville.
She had worked as a Driver's Education Instructor and a Special Education Instructor for the Howard County Public School System.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, John S. Rexroad of Wilmington, N.C.; daughters, Kathy Ann Krickbaum of Catonsville, and Michele Palmari of Westminster; brothers, Donald Rice of Hanover, Pa., and Edward Rice of Frederick; and sisters, Alma Brown of Cumberland, and Ellen Kiefer of Philadelphia, Pa. She is also survived by five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. where services will be held at 4 p.m.
Interment will be private.
