MELVIN L. WOOLFORD
DELAWARE, Ohio -- Melvin L. "Mel" Woolford, 72, of Delaware, died at home on Monday, June 11, 2001.
Born Dec. 10, 1928, in Fort Ashby, W.Va., he was the son of late Clarence and Ethel (Offutt) Woolford.
Mr. Woolford received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Ohio State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a teacher at Delaware Willis and Hayes High Schools, retiring as director of business for the Delaware City Schools.
He was a member of William Street United Methodist Church, the chancel choir and bell choir. He was a man of honesty and integrity who enjoyed music.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Mary Faye (Martin) Woolford; daughters, Katherine (Mark) Kemp of Delaware, and Dr. Elizabeth (Paul) Listerman of Edgewood, Ky.; and four grandchildren, Aaron Kemp, Molly, Abby and Adam Listerman.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Earl and Vernon Woolford; and a sister, Helen Long.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36) Delaware.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 12 noon at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2001, at 7 p.m. at William Street United Methodist Church.

BROOKE L. ROHRBAUGH
PETERSBURG, W.Va. -- Brooke Lyle Rohrbaugh, 81, of Petersburg, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, where he had resided since August 1998.
Born on July 8, 1919, in Arthur, he was the son of the late Homer and Willa (McDonald) Rohrbaugh. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Emma Catherine (Trinkle) Rohrbaugh in 1953; two sisters, Anna Lee Abelle and Geniveve Reniger; and two stepsons, Charles Oates and David Oates.
Mr. Rohrbaugh retired from the U.S. Navy as Senior Chief Quartermaster, after over 28 years of service. He received the National Defense Service Medal Award with a Bronze Star and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict. He was a part of the Naval Intelligence and represented enlisted navy personnel in the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. He was President of the Board of Directors for Canaan Valley Resort until 1993.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte (Hamstead) Oates Rohrbaugh; two daughters, Darlene H. Rohrbaugh of Petersburg, and Beverly Ann Pethtal of Petersburg; one stepson, Arthur R. Oates of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Robert Garnett Rohrbaugh of Blairstown, N.J.; six grandchildren, Bobbi Kraus of Kansas City, Mo., John Paul Hott II, of Scherr, Tevya Vance of Dorcas, Charlotte Franz of Maysville, Danielle Oates of Petersburg, and Cameron Oates of Petersburg; and eight great-grandchildren.
There will be a full honor U.S. Military Burial at Sea out of the Atlantic Port of Norfolk, Va., performed on a Navy Vessel while deployed on official maneuvers.
Memorial services will be conducted at a later date in Petersburg.

HAROLD H. SNYDER
KEYSER, W.Va. -- Harold H. "Diz" Snyder, 80, of Route 5, Box 806, Keyser, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born on Oct. 24, 1920, in Philipsburg, Pa., he was a son of the late John and Anna (Maggs) Snyder. He was also preceded in death by his wife, V. Ruth (Lantz) Snyder on April 18, 1996; two sons, John and Roger Snyder; and a grandson, Shaun Christian Snyder.
Mr. Snyder was a retired carman with the B&O Railroad with over 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 94th Signal Battalion. He was a founding member of the Queens Point Memorial Post #6775, VFW, McCoole, Md., and was also a member of Victory Post #155, American Legion, Westernport, Md., and Davis Lodge #51, A.F.&A.M., Keyser.
Surviving are two sons, Bobby Dale Snyder, Corinth, and Shawn Lee Snyder, Moorefield; three daughters, JoAnn Elliott, Hutton, Md., Joyce E. Friend, Crellin, Md., and Ruth Ellen Jernell, Keyser; 17 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Sears and Pastor Bruce Craig officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
Graveside military honors will be accorded by the local veteran's organizations. Queens Point Memorial Post will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

PIEDMONT, W.Va. -- P. Louise Dawson, 67, of 76 Paxton St., Piedmont, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born at Keyser on March 5, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Hazel (Bobo) Braithwaite. Her husband, Gary G. Dawson in 1976; a son, Gary G. Dawson Jr.; a sister, Wilda Rohrbaugh; a half brother, Harry Braithwaite; and a special aunt, Icie Pearl Cosner also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Dawson was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont. She was a former employee of Sterling Chicken Processing, Oakland, and Keyser Garment, Keyser
Surviving are two sons, the Rev. William Dawson and wife Christine of Buckhannon, Charles "Chuck" Dawson and wife Gerri of Piedmont; two daughters, Debbie Nesmith and husband Leo of Westernport, Sandra Karalewitz and husband Paul of Piedmont; a brother, Junior Braithwaite of Piedmont; two sisters, Clara Fazenbaker of Westernport, and Mary Grady of Piedmont; a half brother, Butch Braithwaite of Burlington; three half sisters, Frances Wolfe of Keyser, Dorothy Braithwaite of Keymont, and Bessie Shears of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Gary Nesmith, Gary Dawson III, Charles Dawson Jr., Christopher Dawson, Alex Dawson, Nathan Dawson, and Amanda Dawson; and one great-grandson, Logan Nesmith.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Jarrett officiating.
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
FREEMAN DUNCAN
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Freeman Duncan, 85, of Westgate Drive, Orlando, died June 9, 2001, at Mariner-Metro West, Orlando.
Born at Midlothian on July 19, 1915, he was a son of the late Hugh Duncan and Dora (Willets) Duncan. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline (Frye) Duncan on Jan. 31, 1999; two brothers, Frank Duncan and Robert Duncan; and one sister, Annice Stiles.
He was a retired Supervisor for the Martin Marietta-Aerospace, Lutheran Faith, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Mokanna Lodge 329 AF and AM, Scottish Rite, Bahia Shrine, and Loyal Order of Jesters.
Surviving are three daughters, Carolyn D. O'Leary, Monroe, Ga., Dianne Klingensmith, Apache Junction, Ariz., and Darlene Kergan, Frostburg; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at Frostburg Memorial Park with the Rev. Richard Mortimore.

ROBERT D. MOCK
CUMBERLAND -- Robert D. Mock, 82, of Cumberland, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Memorial Hospital.
Born May 11, 1919 in Centerville, Pa., he was the son of the late Daniel T. and Ellen Eleanore (Kimble) Mock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia E. Mock, May 11, 1987.
Mr. Mock was retired from the B&O Railroad. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an avid fisherman, having won many trophies. He was a member of the Cumberland Eagles 245, the Cumberland Lodge 271 Loyal Order of Moose and the Cumberland Outdoor Club.
Missed by the following loved ones, one son, Robert D. Mock Jr., Cumberland; four sisters, Ruth Clark, Cumberland, Ann Pilker, Baltimore, Leah Spade, N.Y., and Myra Brant, Ohio; one brother, Melvin Mock, Centerville, Pa; and one granddaughter, Tamara Lee Mock, Silver Spring.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
