ROSE M. BROADWATER
WESTERNPORT - Rose Mary Broadwater, 52, of 4791 Kelly Road, Woodbridge, Va., formerly of Westernport, died Monday, May 31, 1999, at Potomac Hospital, Dale City, Va.
Born Nov. 1, 1946, at Keyser, W.Va., she was a daughter of Rosetta (McBee) Amann, Westernport, and the late Bernard Amann.
Mrs. Broadwater was a beautician at the Hermitage Nursing Center, Alexandria, Va. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Dale City, Va.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Gary Broadwater; two daughters, Erin Jon Broadwater and Lindsay Ann Broadwater, both at home; and one sister, Helen Hannon, Westernport.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Friday at 11 a.m.
A Christian Wake service will be held on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Westernport.
DONALD W. BAKER
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Donald W. Baker, 58, of Cleveland, formerly of Oakland, Md., died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at the Lewis Stokes Veteran's Hospital, Cleveland.
Born June 7, 1941, in Oakland, Md., he was the son of the late Hansie Baker and Olive (Bailey)(Baker) Hartman.
Mr. Baker was a member of the Lakeside Assembly of God Church. A 1960 graduate of Southern High School, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Baker is survived by two sisters, Virginia Skipper-Cummings, Oakland, Md., and Evelyn M. Nazelrod, Martinsburg, W.Va.; one brother, Robert C. Baker, Oakland, Md.; one aunt, Irene C. Miller, Oakland, Md., and seven nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, Md., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Culler officiating.
Interment will be in the Deer Park Cemetery.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of the various veterans' organizations in southern Garrett County, Md.
ROBERT W. BROADWATER
GRANTSVILLE - Robert William Broadwater, 75, of 159 Ravine St., Grantsville, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born June 12, 1923, in Grantsville, he was the son of the late Hayward and Lillie (Guinn) Broadwater. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Grace (Hanft) Broadwater, on Oct. 31, 1993; a daughter, Gaye, on Feb. 3, 1994; a brother, Guinn; and a sister, Florence Klotz.
Mr. Broadwater was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He was a retired carpenter and member of Woodman of the World, Camp 41, Grantsville.
Survivors include a brother, Hayward "Pete"Broadwater, Grantsville; one niece; three nephews; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Fetter officiating.
Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.

HOMER L. "JACK"BAKER JR.
CUMBERLAND - Homer L. "Jack"Baker Jr., 77, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 7, 1999.
Born May 5, 1921, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Homer L. Baker Sr. and Margaret (Valentine) Baker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Baker.
He was retired from the Street Department for the City of Cumberland. Also, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He received a Bronze Star for his services. In addition he was a member of Fort Cumberland Post #13 American Legion.
Mr. Baker was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ.
Mr. Baker is survived by two daughters, Margaret Holcomb, Columbia, and Nancy Sarver and husband, Barry, Cumberland; a brother, Charles "Ray"Baker and wife, Bernice, Cumberland; five grandchildren, Kathy Wood and husband, Dennis, Robert Holcomb, all of Chesapeake, Va., Brian Lyons, Richmond, Va., Rebecca Sasscer and husband, Robert, Baltimore, and Susan Dawson, Cumberland; four great-grandchildren, Chris and Brad Wood, Chesapeake, and Brenden Holcomb and Cody Dawson, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Harold Shaffer officiating.
Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Military honors will be accorded by the local Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Brian Lyons, Robert Holcomb, Chris Wood and Brandon Sisk.
ELIZABETH ELLEN "LIB" BARTIK
CUMBERLAND - Elizabeth Ellen "Lib" Bartik, 94, of Cumberland Nursing Center, formerly of Virginia Avenue, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at the nursing center.
Born April 30, 1904, in Berlin, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Wilson W. and Carrie M. (Latta) Shumaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leo "Dutch" Bartik; two brothers, William and Merle Shumaker; one nephew, Leon Shumaker; and one niece, Charlotte Hill.
Mrs. Bartik was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Queen Esther Bible Class. She was a former Sunday School teacher for the teenage girls class, and a former member of the Mapleside Homemakers Association.
Surviving are one sister-in-law, Laura L. Shumaker, Cumberland; one nephew, Vincent M. Shumaker and wife, Peggy, Cumberland; five great-nephews, Frederick J. Hill Jr. and wife, Rhonda, Florida, J. Kent Hill, Kevin W. Hill, both of Cumberland, Michael Hill and wife, Jennifer, Annapolis, and Michael V. Shumaker, Cumberland; two great nieces, LuAnne L. Fowler and husband, Chuck, Carpendale, W.Va., and Julie L. George and husband, Mark, Woodbridge, Va.; seven great-great-nephews, Scott, Ryan, Kyle, Tyler, Matthew, Kevin and Alexander; and two great-great-nieces, Lacy and Kari.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark C. Dill officiating.

CUMBERLAND - Funeral services for Elizabeth E. 'Lib' Bartik will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Mike Shumaker, Chuck Fowler, Mark George, Kevin Hill, Gary Bartik and Fred Bartik.
ELIZABETH MARIE 'BETTY' BARTIK
MCCOOLE - Elizabeth Marie 'Betty' (Llewellyn) Bartik, 74, of 21609 McCoole Drive S.W., McCoole, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, where she had been a patient since April 12.
Born on Sept. 26, 1924, at McCoole, she was the eldest daughter of the late Alvin Russell and Essie Marie (Baker) Llewellyn. She also was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John W. Bartik, on Dec. 6, 1991; one brother, Robert Russell Llewellyn; and a sister, Anna Ruth (Llewellyn) Kesner.
Mrs. Bartik was formerly employed at the Celanese Amcelle Plant in the early 1940s. After her marriage to John W. Bartik on May 16, 1944, she settled into her lifetime work as a homemaker. She was a member of the Worldwide Church of God.
Surviving are her three children, Shirley Ann Bartik, William Michael Bartik and Carol Jean Bartik; four brothers, Kenneth Alvin Llewellyn, Keith Earl Llewellyn, William Griffith Llewellyn, Wayne Vance Llewellyn; two sisters, Mary Helen (Llewellyn) Rotruck and Shirley Carolyn (Llewellyn) Terrell; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Bartik, Justin Michael Bartik and John Kevin Bartik.
Friends may call at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with Mr. Peter Whitting officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
Pallbearers will be her oldest grandson and her nephews.
