DORA L. BRANDT
ELLERSLIE - Dora Louise "Dottie" Brandt, 70, of Schellsburg Road, Ellerslie, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital following a long illness.
Born March 14, 1929, in Stringtown, Londonderry Township, Bedford County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Donald "Mac" and Margaret Mae (Lowery) Wertz.
Mrs. Brandt is survived by her husband of 52 years, Walter S. Brandt; two daughters, Teena Bucy and husband Mike, Mount Savage, and Lisa Williams and husband Roger, Barrelville; one sister, Donna Witt and husband Herb, Mount Savage; three grandsons, Colby and Tyler Bucy, Mount Savage, and Jason Bucy, Clarysville; one great grandson, Kyle Bucy; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend whom she thought of as a granddaughter, Amanda Pheasant.
Mrs. Brandt was a homemaker who had worked for Lloyd Wolfe's Store, Ellerslie, and Columbia Gas, Cumberland. She was a member of the Ellerslie Methodist Church and a former member of the church's Lightbearer's Class. She was an avid auto racing fan.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, Pa., on Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Rebecca J. Vardiman officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Sacred Heart Hospice.
ADDIE V. CORNELIUS
HAGERSTOWN - Addie Viola Cornelius, 97, of 1304 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, formerly of Largo Fla., and Ridgeley, W.Va., died Saturday, March 6, 1999, at the Coffman Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born Feb. 14, 1902, in Pifer, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Sommers Hayes Watring and Sarah (Mackimey) Watring. She also was preceded in death by her husband, W. Merle Cornelius Sr.; and eight brothers.
Mrs. Cornelius was a retired employee of the Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. in Cumberland. She was a member of the New Street United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown, W.Va., and a former member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Ridgeley.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Sherman, Canada and Largo, Fla., and Ruth Orndorff, Largo, Fla.; a son, W. Merle Cornelius Jr., Hagerstown; a sister, Kathryn Shelton, Elkins, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Memorial services will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church, Ridgeley, Saturday, April 3, 1999, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, Knobley Street, Ridgeley.
Arrangements are being handled by the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.
DAISY B. BRANT
CUMBERLAND - Daisy Bell Brant, 91, of 234 Elder St., Cumberland, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, at New Hope Personal Care Home.
Born Oct. 17, 1908, in Cherryrun, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Myrtle (Womax) Ritenour. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Brant on March 31, 1983; and two daughters, Connie Stevenson and Helen Scarpelli.
Mrs. Brant was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Madelyn C. Stuckey and fiancee Don Johnson and Charlotte Hamilton and husband John, both of Cumberland; two sons, Carl R. Brant and wife Pam, Newry, Pa., and James E. Brant, Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Georgia Robertson, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Pastor Patrick Malone officiating.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to the New Hope Personal Care Home in Mexico Farms, Cumberland, MD.
GOLDIE GLENDORA BRANT
CUMBERLAND - Goldie Glendora Triplett Brant, 94, of Cumberland, died Friday, May 21, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 14, 1904, in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John J. Triplett and the late Nan (Faulk) Triplett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kelly L. Brant; a son, Herbert Vanfleet; and a daughter, Dorothy Cheshire.
Mrs. Brant was a former employee of the Celanese Fibers Corporation of America.
Surviving are her son, Richard Vanfleet and wife, Nancy, Cumberland; a daughter, Alice L. Hershiser and husband, Robert, Bowman's Addition, Cumberland; three sisters, Nellie Orndorff, Keyser, Clara Oats, Keyser, Bertie Walsh, Keyser; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Edward R. Dickel officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
LOLA F. BRASHEAR
WESTERNPORT - Lola Frances Brashear, 71, of 215 Miller St. Westernport, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Sept. 9, 1928, in Barton, she was daughter of the late Raymond and Marie (Carnell) Michaels. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billie Brashear, in 1986, and two brothers, Russell Michaels, and Richard Michaels, and Richard Michaels.
Mrs. Brashear was a homemaker, and formerly worked at Trenum's Taxi. She was a former member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Potomac Fire Company. She was a member of the First Assembly of God, Westernport.
Mrs. Brashear is survived by three sons, Vance Brashear, Front Royal, Va., David Brashear, and William Brahear, both of Westernport; three daughters, Frances Broadwater, Rawlings, Darlene Robinette, Hyndman, Pa., and Linda Magruder, Piedmont, W.Va.; four brothers, Daniel Michaels, White Haven, Pa., Leroy Michaels, Nikep, Wilson Michaels, Barton, and James Michaels, Frostburg; five sisters, Loraine Smith, Barton, Betty Smiley, Dorothy Beavers, both of Westernport, Alfretta Johnson, Keyser, and Peggy Paul, Meyersdale, Pa.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the First Assembly of God, Westernport, on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Schloe officiating. Mrs. Brashear will be taken to the church one hour prior to service.
Interment will be in the Miller Cemetery, Westernport.
RAYMOND L. BREIGHNER
CUMBERLAND - Raymond Leroy Breighner, 49, of Cumberland, died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at Hampshire Memorial Hospital as a result of an automobile accident near Springfield, W.Va.
Born March 31, 1950, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Irvin C. and Catherine (Rummer) Breighner. He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Leonard and Mary Davis.
Mr. Breighner was a former employee of CSX Railroad. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife, Melissa (Cook) Breighner; two daughters, Marjorie Mulligan and husband Thomas, Cumberland, and Loretta Burdette and husband Brian, Frederick; two sons, Raymond L. Breighner II, Frederick, and Justin M. Breighner, at home; two sisters, Leona Swanger and Darlene Netzer, both of Cumberland; three brothers, Irvin R. Breighner and wife Hieu, Saudi Arabia, Joseph T. Breighner and wife Donna, Cumberland, and Merle E. Breighner and wife Van, Robersdale, Ala.; and three grandchildren, Chelsea Mulligan, Cody Mulligan and Rebecca Breighner.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
