THELMA C. GREEN
MOUNT SAVAGE - Thelma Catherine (McKenzie) Green, age 85, of 12821 Jealous Row, N.W., Mount Savage, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Nov. 14, 1913, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Katie (Lutz) McKenzie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grover E. Green, on July 19, 1995; and was the last member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Green was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage. A life member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Ancient Order Hibernians, she also was a member of the Mount Savage Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Surviving are one daughter, Shirley Ann King, Cumberland; three sons, Edward G. Green, Mountain Lake Park, Robert J. Green, Pinkerington, Ohio, and Richard F. Green, Holden Beach, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. with Sister Joan Minella, S.S.N.D., officiating.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage, with the Rev. Fr. Ed Hendricks as celebrant.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Rice, Ed Williams, Dick Walsh, Bill Pratt, Pat King and Eric Green.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Patrick's Church.
CHARLES J. FELKER
SYKESVILLE - Charles John "C.J." Felker, 16, of Sykesville, died suddenly on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999.
Born July 15, 1983 in Maryland, he was the son of Charles and Carol J. Hoen Felker of Sykesville.
Mr. Felker was an 11th grade student at Liberty High School.
Surviving in addition to his parents are one brother, Christopher Joseph Felker, Sykesville; maternal grandparents, John and Carol Hoen, Laurel, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted there on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Pastor John Lee officiating.
Interment will be private.
MARCELLUS E. "CELL" FELTEN
CUMBERLAND - Marcellus E. "Cell" Felten, 77, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.
Born July 31, 1921, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Edward and Rose (Werner) Felten. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Cletus Felten; and three sisters, Mary Felten, Regina Reed and Frances Portmess.
Mr. Felten was retired from the Celanese Corporation, Cumberland, where he worked in the Solvent Recovery Department. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Ruth E. (Twigg) Felten; four daughters, Janet Sisk, Williamsport, Karen J. Felten, Fayetteville, N.C., Christina R. Hartman and husband, Scott, Bartlett, Tenn, Cynthia S. Felten, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sons, Edward Carl Felten and wife, Maryln, Fayetteville, Terry L. Felten and wife, Carolyn, Cumberland; one brother, Charles C. Felten and wife, Edna, Bowling Green; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Tara, Sean, Adam, Amy, Laurie, Ryan, Jeremy and Joshua.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake will be conducted on Thursday at 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Vernon Busch, O.F.M., Cap. as celebrant.
Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap. Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.

MAUDE DAY
FROSTBURG - Maude Umstot Day, 94, of the St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home, Frostburg, formerly of Elder Street, Cumberland, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born June 1, 1904, in Short Gap, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Gillam and Delara (Skelly) Umstot. She also was preceded in death by her husband George "Hammie"Day, in 1947; one sister; and five brothers.
Mrs. Day was a retired cook at Sheehe's Restaurant, Cumberland, after 27 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Rachel Baker and husband Hugh, Springfield, W.Va., Frances Stock and husband William, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Irene Silberski, Cumberland; two sons, Lloyd Day, Cumberland, and Harold L. Day and wife Glenda, Potomac Park; one sister, Hazel Ridenbaugh, Short Gap; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Points, W.Va.
DANIEL A. FERGUSON
CRESAPTOWN - Daniel Arthur Ferguson, 89, of Sewickley, Pa., formerly of Cresaptown, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at the Valley Care Nursing Home, Sewickley.
Born Sept. 15, 1910, in Montrose, W.Va., he was the son of the late Jonathan F. and Annie Grace (Snelson) Ferguson. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ivan F. Ferguson; and two sisters, Helen McKeown and Minerva Eads.
Mr. Ferguson was retired from Celanese Corporation. He was a member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Frieda M. (Stottlemyer) Ferguson; two sons, A. Earl Ferguson and wife, Joyce, Carrollton, Ohio, William F. Ferguson and wife, Mary Lou, Latrobe, Pa.; one daughter, Marion Shaw and husband, David, Sewickley; one brother, Edward Ferguson, Fort James, Ga.; one sister, Sarah Pfiffer, Tallahassee, Fla.; five grandchildren, Robert Ferguson, Amanda Bierly, Alexander Shaw, David Ferguson, Julie Ferguson; and one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Ferguson.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating.
Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
JEANETTE L. FERGUSON
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Jeanette L. (Horn) Ferguson, 66, of North Myrtle Beach, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at Howard County General Hospital, Columbia, Md.
Born June 28, 1933, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. and Cecilia (Dennin) Horn.
Ms. Ferguson was a homemaker and retired realtor. She attended Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and was a member of the Napoleonic Society.
Surviving are her best friend and companion, Carroll Mayhugh, North Myrtle Beach; two sons, David R. Ferguson, Ellicott City, Md., and Bryan K. Ferguson, Little River, S.C.; one daughter, Cheryl L. Ferguson, Wytheville, Va.; four brothers, Paul Horn, Ellsworth, Me., Cecil Horn, Daytona Beach, Fla., John Horn, Frostburg, Md., and Bryan Horn, Hickory, N.C.; two sisters, Mary Neely, Mesa, Ariz., and Cynthia Mackert, Leesburg, Va.; and three grandchildren, Melissa Ferguson, Joshua Pierce and Jacob Pierce.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Saturday at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Thomas R. Bevan as celebrant. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
