HAROLD L. FRANKHOUSER
CRESAPTOWN - Harold L. Frankhouser, 78, of Cresaptown, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
He was born May 20, 1921, in Parkersburg, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Alice Frankhouser on May 25, 1993; one brother and one sister.
Mr. Frankhouser was retired from Hercules Inc. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Ohr Lodge 131, A.F. & A.M., and the American Legion, Frostburg 24.
Surviving are three sisters-in-law, Jane Bowman Jenkins, Watertown, N.Y., Emma Wheeler and Marion Forney, both of Carthage, N.Y.; one brother-in-law, David Tooker, Long Island, N.Y.; and several cousins.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Funeral services will be conducted there Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dan Taylor officiating.
Interment will be in the Steele Cemetery, Friendsville.
CAROLINE B. GIBSON
OAKLAND - Caroline Belle Gibson, 76, of Oakland, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born April 13, 1923, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va, she was a daughter of the late Cecil W. Waugh and Nellie (Adams) Waugh. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Willard R. "Zack" Gibson, in 1970.
Mrs. Gibson owned and operated the Crellin Service Center.
Surviving are four sons, Richard R. Gibson, Oakland, Kenneth L. Gibson, Martinsburg, W.Va., Dennis A. Gibson, McHenry, and Steven M. Gibson, Oakland; two daughters, Shirley A. Henline, Terra Alta, W.Va., and Carol E. Gibson, Oakland; three brothers, Dodson Waugh and Charles Waugh, both of Berkeley Springs, and Donald Waugh, Charles Town, W.Va.; and 15 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Teets officiating.
Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to the West Virginia University Children's Hospital, Box 8277, Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV 26506-8227.
KATHRYN L. FRANKLIN
CUMBERLAND - Kathryn L. Franklin, in her 90th year, died of natural causes on Wednesday, May 5, 1999, at her home.
Born Dec. 10, 1909, in Mineral County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Frank Brent and Catherine (Donnelly) Jones. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Jordan Franklin; and her only granddaughter, Kathryn Louise 'Katy' Franklin.
Mrs. Franklin was a former secretary for the Celanese Corporation, Cumberland, during World War II. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and was an avid Bridge player.
Surviving are one daughter, Bonnie Jordan Walter, Cumberland; one son, Dr. A. Leo Franklin and wife, Ursula Ann, Cumberland; 10 grandsons; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
At Mrs. Franklin's request, her body will be cremated.
A Memorial Mass will be conducted at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church on May 14 at noon with Fr. Vance Pastorius, O.F.M., Cap. officiating.
The family requests contributions be made to the Bishop Walsh High School.

HARLEEN V. GAUMER
ECKHART - Harleen V. Gaumer, 77, of North Anne Arundel Convalescent Home, Glen Burnie, formerly of Eckhart, died Friday, June 4, 1999, at the convalescent home.
Born Dec. 14, 1921, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Cecilia (Rawlings) Folk. Her husband, Curtis E. Gaumer, and a son, Gerald W. Gaumer, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Gaumer was a homemaker. She attended the Pentecostal Church in Severn, Md.
Surviving are two sons, Curtis E. Gaumer, Cumberland, and Dennis L. Lepley, Gainsboro, Tenn.; four daughters, Hilda G. Ashenfelter, Aberdeen, Karen M. Hicks, Odenton, Donna L. Webb, Glen Burnie, and Rhonda R. Swanegan, Baltimore; two brothers, her twin, Harold Folk, Mount Savage, and Melvin Folk, Frederick; a sister, Jean Sgagero, Frostburg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George R. Loar officiating.
ERMA M. GLASS
MOUNT SAVAGE - Erma Marie Glass, 86, of Mount Savage (Barrelville) died Monday, May 10, 1999, at the Cumberland Nursing Home where she was a resident since October 1997. She is now at home with her Savior Jesus Christ.
She was born on Oct. 4, 1912, in Jenkins, Ky., the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Preston) Johns. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther C. Glass, who passed away May 9, 1960; three sisters, Nora Spataro, Ada Bowers, Lily Porter; two brothers, Charles Johns and Frank Johns; a granddaughter, Amanda Glass; and a son-in-law, George "Sam" Nolan.
Mrs. Glass was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Corriganville. She was also the former assistant Pastor and Evangelist of the church, holding services in many states. She was a prayer warrior and will be missed by her family and also her church family. She was a devoted wife and mother.
She is survived by one daughter, Myra "Sissy" Nolan; four sons, Charles "Sonny" Glass and friend, Mary, Joseph Glass and wife, Nancy, Darrell Glass and wife, Mary Sue, and Pastor James Glass and wife, Doris; a daughter-in-law, Audrey Glass; two brothers, Victor Johns and wife, Lou, and Arthur Johns; one sister, Gloria Lease and husband, Lloyd; a sister-in-law, Doris Johns; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Portertown Road, Corriganville, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the Church on Friday, May 14, 1999, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Benny Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in Temple Cemetery, Meyersdale, Pa.
Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Glass to the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 12816 Mount Savage Road, Mount Savage, MD 21545, c/o Pastor Jim Glass, or to the Mount Savage Fire Department, Mount Savage, MD 21545.

JAMES L. FRANTZ
FRIENDSVILLE - James Lloyd Frantz, 90, of 1048 Glade Road, Friendsville, went home to be with his Lord, on Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at Henry Clay Villa, Markleysburg, Pa.
Born Oct. 24, 1909, near Friendsville, he was the son of the late James Henry and Martha Ellen (Fike) Frantz. He also was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Laura Belle (Thornburgh) Frantz, on Jan. 3, 1998; five brothers; and five sisters.
Surviving are three sons, James R., Friendsville, Gary W., Grantsville, and Donald E., Waldorf; two daughters, Barbara E. Andria, Smithfield, Pa., and Linda S. Miller, Finksburg; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Frantz was a lifelong member of the Asher Glade Church of the Brethren, where he served as church deacon, Sunday school teacher and member of the church choir. He was a retired farmer and truck driver.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Friendsville, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Asher Glade Church of the Brethren Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joe Brown and the Rev. Donald Matthews officiating.
Interment will be in the Asher Glade Cemetery.
