ELEANOR C. DOLLY
CUMBERLAND - Eleanor C. Dolly, 84, of Goodwill Mennonite Nursing Home, Grantsville, formerly of Mexico Farms, Cumberland, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999 at the nursing home.
Born March 14, 1915, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Edith (Link) Myers. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Dolly, and one son, Richard Dolly.
Mrs. Dolly was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Cumberland, the Excelsior Sunday School Class, and the Maryland Mountain Doll Club.
Surviving are one son, Dr. James H. Dolly and wife Martha, Cumberland; one daughter, Bonnie Jean Wojcik and husband Thomas, Charlotte, N.C.; three sisters, Dorothy Eye, Shepherdstown, W.Va., Virginia Bush, Hagerstown, and Frances Myers, Shepherdstown, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at Grace United Methodist Church, 130 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard H. Jewell officiating. Interment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery, Cumberland.

LEO E. DOLLY
CUMBERLAND - Leo Elliott Dolly, of Cumberland, died Monday, April 19, 1999, at the home of his daughter in Hyattsville.
Born in Flintstone, he was a son of the late Irad Henry Dolly and Olive May Ash Dolly. A son, Jeffrey Allen Dolly, and two brothers, Ellis and Blaine, precedeased him.
Mr. Dolly was a drywall mechanic by trade.
Surviving are three daughters, Robin Lynn Gentry of Snow Hill, Tina Renae Shields, of Hyattsville, and Lori Ann Pierce of Davidsonville; a special friend, Olive Day of Cumberland; six brothers and two sisters, Kenneth of Elkton, Carroll of River Ridge, La., Presley of Bear, Del., Borden "Billy" and Ernest, both of Cumberland, Nelson of Oldtown, Reatha Twigg of Leesville, La., and Eleanor Stewart of Cumberland; and eight grandchildren.
No formal services are planned.

NELLIE A. DONAHUE
CUMBERLAND - Nellie Alberta Donahue, 71, of 12201 Knob Road, Cumberland, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 4, 1927, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Nycum and the late Lavina Bell (Crawford) Nycum.
Mrs. Donahue was retired from the Allegany County School Board.
Surviving are her husband, Louis A. Donahue, Cumberland; a son, Gary W. Donahue and wife, Tammie, Cumberland; four daughters, Barbara L. Long and husband, Garry, Cumberland, Linda Kaye Ross, Cumberland, Connie M. Davey and husband, John, Ellerslie, and Janet L. Mason, Cumberland; two sisters, Ida Gladys Alt, Cumberland, and Ethel Paris and husband, Ellsworth, Grottoes, Va.; and four grandchildren, Christopher Ross, Heather Mason Lablanc, Aaron Long and Cassie Donahue.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Bernadette M. Ross officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Garry E. Long, Aaron S. Long, Christopher Ross, John Davey, Richard Ross and Jake Donahue.
CHARLES F. GANNON JR.
CUMBERLAND - Charles Franklin Gannon Jr., 47, of Springdale Street, Cumberland, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born March 2, 1951, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Charles Franklin Gannon Sr. and Clara Elizabeth (Hanley) Gannon. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Gannon was a former carpenter. He was Catholic by faith; and a member of the Archway Station.
At Mr. Gannon's request, he was cremated.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Penick and the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.
ROBERT DONALDSON
LONACONING - Graveside services for Robert Donaldson, 76, of Lonaconing, who died July 27, 1998, will be held Saturday, April 17, at 1 p.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Barton.
A luncheon will follow at the Bethel Holiness Church, Lonaconing. Family and friends are welcome.
JEFFREY T. DOWDELL
CUMBERLAND - Jeffrey T. Dowdell, 17, of Cumberland, died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born June 1, 1982, in Port Chester, N.Y., he was the son of Thomas C. and Sandra B. Dowdell. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Paul W. Dowdell.
Mr. Dowdell was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He attended Allegany High School. He was a member of the Allegany High School Marching Band and the Concert Band, where he played the tuba, and the Allegany Jazz Band and the Allegany County Honors Band, where he played the trumpet. He was passionate about music and his close friends.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are one sister, Christine E. Dowdell, at home; two brothers, Steven M. Dowdell, Michael J. Dowdell, both at home; maternal grandparents, Jeanne M. and Wesley R. Burt, DDS, Venice, Fla.; paternal grandmother, Margaret L. Sands, Northridge, Calif.; one aunt, Marjorie J. Burt, Venice, Fla.; and great-aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John J. Duffus officiating.

PAUL J. GALLEN
LAS VEGAS - Paul Joseph Gallen, 97, of Las Vegas, formerly of Centre Street and Kennedy Apartments, Cumberland, Md., died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at Integrated Health Services, Las Vegas.
Born July 22, 1901, in Landsdale, Pa., he was the son of the late John A. and Helena N. (Farell) Gallen. He also was preceded in death by his wife, June G. Lewis; and son, Paul F. Gallen.
Mr. Gallen was the owner/operator of the Galen Bar. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Prince of Peace Council, Las Vegas, and Prince of Peace Catholic Church; Elks, and St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Surviving are one son, Joseph R. Gallen and wife Mary (Fischer) Gallen, Las Vegas; one sister, Kathleen Blackwell, Front Royal, Va.; seven grandchildren, Joseph P. Gallen and wife Lynn, and Michael J. Gallen, all of Las Vegas, David W. Gallen, Jacksonville, Fla., Mary K. Bohn and husband Howard, Cumberland, Todd F. Gallen and special friend Aimee, Laurel, Md., Leigh Ann Norris and husband Gary, Cumberland, Tracey Oyler and husband Tim, Winchester, Va.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Knights of Columbus Cumberland Council 586 will participate in a Christian Wake Service Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Thursday at 9 a.m. with Father Thomas R. Bevan as celebrant.
Interment will be in the SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Cumberland.
