CLARA V. HABERLEIN
ECKHART - Clara V. Haberlein, 85, of 17205 Old National Pike, S.W., Frostburg, died Monday, May 10, 1999, in the Saint Vincent dePaul Nursing Center, Frostburg.
Born Dec. 18, 1913, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Isabelle (Knox) Broadwater.
Mrs. Haberlein was a lifelong homemaker.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Harry L. Haberlein; a son, Paul Haberlein and wife, Judy, Eckhart; and numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Richard Metrick officiating.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
LORETTA E. LAGRATTA
CUMBERLAND - Loretta E. LaGratta, of Cumberland, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Fayette and Mary (Emerick) Carder. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Frank (Chunky) LaGratta in 1976; and one sister, Dorothy Hughes.
Mrs. LaGratta was a homemaker. She was a Protestant by faith.
Surviving are two brothers, Eugene Carder and wife Margaret, Oldtown, and Howard Carder and wife Lucy Ann, Akron, Ohio; two nieces and two nephews and their children; many cousins; and many close friends.
At her request, there will be no viewing and graveside services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
GALEN R. KINLEY
LAVALE - Galen Revere Kinley, 81, of LaVale, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, in the Northside Hospital and Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Born on May 12, 1917, in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Mabel Christine (Fritz) Kinley.
Mr. Kinley was a member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church. He was an engineer for the state of Maryland, having been the Regional Director of the Bureau of Air Quality and Noise Control for Garrett, Allegany and Washington counties. He was a member of the Lawrence Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Ivanton, Ill., the Knights Templer, and the El Bekel shrine in California.
Survivors include his wife, Constance (Faulkner) Kinley; two daughters, Patricia Kinley Williams, and Sandra Kinley Hatfield, both of Russell, Ky.; a son, Terry Alan Kinley, Buffalo Grove, Ill; two sisters, Jeannie Louella Kinley, Ironton, Ohio, and Madalyn Kinley Brown, Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Rebecca Vardiman.
Interment will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Willard Neil Faulkner, Earl Hardman, Steve Faulkner, Donald Woodrum, Frank Sheetz and Daniel Ricewick.
ARLIE LEASE JR.
CRESAPTOWN - Arlie Lease Jr., 78, of Cresaptown, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at the VA Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Oct. 28, 1920, in Pinto, he was the son of the late Arlie Taylor Lease Sr. and Byerl (McKenzie) Lease. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Ruben Lease and Buford Lease.
Mr. Lease was a retired glass inspector for Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. and a veteran of World War II. He was Methodist by faith and a member of Cresaptown Aerie 2883 Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel Edith (Pratt) Lease; three sons, Arlie G. Lease, Pinto, Victor C. Lease, Potomac Park, and Michael P. Lease, Ridgeley, W.Va.; three daughters, Diane J. Corley and Jo Ellen Morris, both of Cresaptown, and Mary Ann Nee, Frederick; one brother, Paul F. Lease, Cresaptown; four sisters, Wilma Ware and Darlene Lease, both of Cresaptown, Colleen Smith, LaVale, and Donna Marie Mallow, Annapolis; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
The family requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
EDWARD C. KIPE SR.
CUMBERLAND - Edward C. Kipe Sr., 75, of Cumberland, died Monday, July 26, 1999, at Golden's Avenue, Cumberland.
Born June 28, 1924, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Wesley J. and Fannie (Bartik) Kipe. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna F. (Rice) Kipe; his second wife, Vera Grace Kipe; one brother, Wesley J. Kipe; and one sister, J. Geneieve Wagoner.
Mr. Kipe was a retired carman for the CSX Transportation Company and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Mercersburg, Pa.
Surviving are one son, Edward C. Kipe Jr. and wife, Pam, Mercersburg; two daughters, Barbara Davis and husband, Wesley, Oldtown, and Donna Kipe, Cumberland; one brother, Raymond P. Kipe, Cumberland; one sister, N. Louise Kipe, Cumberland; six grandchildren, Kimberly A. Davis and fiance, Scott Bowman, Oldtown, Edward C. Kipe III and wife, Rebecca, Zullinger, Pa., Wesley J.R. Davis and wife, Beth, Oldtown, Wednesday Elder and husband, Chad, Cassadage, N.Y., Stacey L. Heinbaugh, Chambersburg, Pa., Donald W. Heinbaugh and wife, Heather, Mercersburg; five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Elivia, Cody, Garrett and Colton.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at noon with the Rev. Wayne R. Turner officiating.

MARY HANNAH KOLB
CUMBERLAND - Mary Hannah Kolb, 77, formerly of Patterson Avenue, Cumberland, died Thursday, March 11, 1999, at the Woodwell Nursing Home, Wilkinsburg, Pa.
Born May 19, 1921, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William George and Sarah (Hinkley) Kolb.
Miss Kolb was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Marjorie Elkin; a nephew, Dwight Elkin; and a great-nephew, Travis Elkin, all of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m.
The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert C. Jones officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
