CURTIS G. KETTERMAN SR.
FROSTBURG - Curtis Garfield Ketterman Sr., 77, of 324 Braddock St., Apt. 12, Frostburg, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999 at his residence.

Born June 13, 1922, in Black Oaks, he was the son of the late George Harrison and Amanda (Van Meter) Ketterman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marguerite Unger; four sisters and three brothers.

Mr. Ketterman enlisted in the US Army in 1942 during World War II. He served as an anti-aircraft gunner in the South Pacific with Battery C, 510 AAA Gun Battalion, and was discharged in 1946. He then entered Treveca Nazarene College in Nashville, Tenn. and served as Pastor for churches in Ala., Ky., and Tenn. He was ordained for life on July 13, 1951 in Millport, Ala. He also went to Athens College, Athens, Ala., where he studied business and law for two years. He then worked as an executive for the Life and Casualty Insurance Co., Nashville, Tenn.

He was a member of the Welsh Memorial Baptist Church, Frostburg, American Legion, Cumberland, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1411, Cumberland, Life member of DAV Chapter Md. 2, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Arie 1273, Frostburg.

Surviving are his wife of nine years, Sarah (Dickey) Ketterman; a son, Curtis G. Ketterman Jr. and wife Hazel, Frostburg; a step-daughter, Joan Hyde and fiancee Al Evans, Cresaptown; a step-son David W. McKenzie, Fla.; three granddaughters, Patricia Ketterman and fiancee Barry Dubit, Reisterstown, Ann M. Abe and husband Fred, Glen Oaks, and Mary E. Weaver, Glen Oaks; a grandson, Curtis G. Ketterman III, Randallstown; two great-grandchildren, Tiffany M. Ketterman, Cumberland, and Freddie Lee Abe, Cresaptown; two sisters, Helen Neat and husband Leon, Pittsburgh, Pa. and Gladys Jones, Nashville, Tenn. and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Welsh Memorial Baptist Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William G. Boyer officiating.

Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park. Military Honors will be accorded at graveside by Farrady Post 24 American Legion Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be John Weslow, Ed Weslow, William Berndt, Robert Poland, Leon Neat, Curtis Ketterman III. Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Dubit, Joe Sevinsky, Al Evans and Fred Abe.

The family requests memorials be directed to the Welsh Memorial Baptist Church.

P. KENNY LOGSDON
FROSTBURG - Patrick Kenny Logsdon, 62, of Frostburg, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at his home.

Born Dec. 2, 1936, in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mae (Barry) Logsdon. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Keyes; one brother, Jack Logsdon; and his special grandfather, Commodore Barry.

Mr. Logsdon was District President of PPG, United Glass and Ceramic Workers Union & United Steel Workers Association. He was a graduate of Valley High School and Potomac State College. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, and was Past Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge #470. He was an avid golfer and a member of Maplehurst Country Club. He was also a member of Moose Lodge #348, K of C Council #1442, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #1273, sons of American Legion Post #24, and Wamba Caravan #89 Inc., Order of Alhambra.

Surviving are his wife, Sally (Kreitzburg) Logsdon; one son, Patrick Kenny Logsdon Jr., Frostburg; two daughters, Mary Lynn Logsdon, Washington, D.C., and Sandra Kay Logsdon, Flanders, N.J.; one grandson, Jonathan Patrick Logsdon; and four sisters, Rita Hartley, Monica Mason and Mary "Bootie" McGreevy, all of Dunedie, Fla., and Eleanor Sheely, Mountain Lake Park.

Friends were received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Friday.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Father Paul A. Byrnes as celebrant.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

Memorials may be directed to St. Michael's School, 56 E. Main St., Frostburg, MD 21532.

LUCY "PEG" HAGENBUCH
LAVALE - Lucy Pearl "Peg" Hagenbuch, 73, of LaVale, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999 at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Born Oct. 30, 1925 in Cumberland Valley, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Daisey (Elliott) Miller.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Edward Hagenbuch; one sister, Mary Henderson; and two brothers, Leo Miller and Estel Miller.

Mrs. Hagenbuch was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years Fred E. Hagenbuch; four sons, Roger Hagenbuch and wife Philly, of Ridgeley, W.Va., Bruce Hagenbuch and wife Vickie, of Bedford, Pa., David Hagenbuch and wife Crystal, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., and Joe Hagenbuch and wife Jenny, of Short Gap, W.Va.; one daughter, Sherry Kesler and husband Tim, of Cumberland; one brother, Harold Miller, of Centerville, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, Jenny Hagenbuch, Sean Hagenbuch, Bill Hagenbuch and wife Lisa, Brandy Thorton and husband Todd, Amber Hagenbuch, Jesse Hagenbuch, Ashley Hagenbuch, Mike Hagenbuch, Taylor Kesler and Tyler Kesler; and one great-grandson, Matthew Thorton.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Christian Wake service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 8:45 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Reginald Russo as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery, Bedford, Pa.

JOHN S. KEILING
FROSTBURG - John Scott "Jack" Keiling, 92, of 11110 Welsh Hill Road, Frostburg, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.

Born March 8, 1907, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late John S. Keiling Sr. and Isabella (Dudley) Keiling. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (Bowles) Keiling, in 1975; a daughter, Norma K. Watts; three sisters, Cora Barrett, Ruth Keifer and Mary Bean; and two brothers, William and Fred Keiling.

Mr. Keiling retired in 1975 as a vice president with the American Citizens Life Insurance Co., Washington, D.C., after 43 years of service, and formerly worked in the coal mines for 10 years.

He was a member of the Welsh Memorial Baptist Church, Frostburg.

Surviving are his wife, Mary (Walker) Keiling; three daughters, Jacqueline Yates and husband Edgar, Needmore, Pa., Mary Hill and husband Charles, Yoder, Ind., and Susan Rhodes and husband Robert, Gaithersburg; a sister, Elaine Hargosh, Wrights Crossing, Frostburg; a son-in-law, Donald Watts, Laurel; three stepchildren, Bruce Shirey and wife Mary, Frostburg, Sylvia Favila, Glen Burnie, and Virginia Connelly and husband Richard, Columbia; 11 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at Welsh Memorial Baptist Church on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William G. Boyer officiating.

Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.

BARBARA G. LEESON
CUMBERLAND - Barbara Grace Leeson, 94, formerly of Fairmont, W.Va., died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at the Lions Manor Nursing Home. She had lived in Cumberland since 1989.

At Mrs. Leeson's request, she was cremated at the Cumberland Crematory. There will be no visitation and graveside services will be held in Fairmont at a later date.

The Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, is in charge of arrangements.

NANNIE V. LEE
LAVALE - Nannie Victoria Lee, 87, of National Hwy., LaVale, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at her residence.

Born Sept. 28, 1912, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Eugene B. and Anna (Fitzgerald) Hammond. She is was also preceded in death by three sisters; two brothers; and she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Lee was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cumberland, a member of the Sodality, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

Survivors are her husband, John W. Lee; one daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" and husband, John J. Kerch, of Carlisle, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Julie M. Kerch and Jeffrey W. Kerch.

Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Hwy., LaVale, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be conducted Monday at 8:45 p.m.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Father Thomas R. Bevan, officiating.

Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
