MARY H. HASENBUHLER
CUMBERLAND - Mary Harlene Hasenbuhler, 83, formerly of Cumberland, and for the past nine years residing in North Carolina, died March 4, 1999, at Meadowbrook Manor, Clemmons, N.C.
Born Jan. 14, 1916, in Grantsville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Norman Patton and the late Orpha (Miller) Patton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard Hasenbuhler, in 1983; and a sister, A. Pauline Knepp Turner Miehl, in 1998.
Mrs. Hasenbuhler was a graduate nurse and registered x-ray technician.
Surviving are son, Paul Hasenbuhler and his wife Jennifer, Springfield, Vt., and son, Edward Hasenbuhler and his wife Julie, Winston-Salem, N.C.; two brothers, John Patton, Florida, and Norman Patton, Florida; two sisters, Lucille Ritter, Cumberland, and Betty Henry, Manistee, Mich.; three grandchildren, Karen Hasenbuhler, Washington, D.C., Brett Hasenbuhler, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Tara Rock, Fayetteville, N.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Tina, Rebecca and Buddy, Fayetteville, N.C.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday, March 8, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tim McGregor officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, send donations to the Allegany College (Cumberland, Md.) Baseball Team. She was a loyal fan.
HELEN M. KEIFER
CRESAPTOWN - Helen M. (Hammond) Keifer, 90, of Cresaptown, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in the loving home of her daughter.
Born June 7, 1908, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Mae (Schyrock) Hammond. She was also preceded in death by her husband, DeSales E. Keifer Sr.
Mrs. Keifer had worked for Carl McIntyre's Market. She then operated the Bowling Green Grocery with her husband.
She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Willalea Martin and husband, Ronald, with whom she resided; two sons, DeSales E. Keifer Jr. and wife, Mary, Potomac Park, and John Keifer and wife, Kay, Cumberland; seven grandchildren, Danny Martin and wife, Missey, John Martin, Rose Thuss, and fiance Gary Uncapher, Diane McKenzie and husband, Joe, David Keifer and wife, Becky, Karissa Johnson and husband, Mike, and Tisa Keifer, all of Cumberland; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Reginald Russo, O.F.M., Cap., as celebrant.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

DOROTHY R. LEAR
OAKLAND - Dorothy R. Lear, 87, of Oakland, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born July 8, 1912, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Insall A. Reed and Minnie (Wall) Reed. She also was preceded in death by her husband, William Earle Lear Jr. in 1988.
Mrs. Lear was a retired secretary, and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Earle R. Lear, Orlando, Fla.; and two daughters, Edith I. Weese, Dunkirk, Md., and Dorothy E. Lear, Oakland; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Roger Harrison and the Rev. Ann Harrison officiating.
Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
Family suggests memorials take the form of contributions to the Southern Garrett Rescue Squad or the Hospice of Garrett County.
CORA HAUSMAN
CUMBERLAND - Cora "Peg" Hausman, 90, of the Cumberland Nursing Home, formerly of Utah Avenue, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born in Wiley Ford, W.Va., on Aug. 20, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Nellie Schaidt Funk and the late Peter Schaidt. She also was preceded in death by her husband the late Gilbert H. Hausman who died in 1994; and one son, Robert Hausman.
Mrs. Hausman was a former nursing assistant at Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Zion United Church of Christ.
Surviving are one son, Kenneth Hausman and wife Brigette, Cumberland; two brothers, Homer Schade and wife Virginia, and Harold Schaidt and wife Mary, all of Cumberland; three sisters, Helen Peterson and Evelyn Cooper and husband Ed, Cumberland, and Jenny Morgan and husband Jack, Frostburg; six grandchildren, Robin Roberge and husband Scott, Milton, N.H., Wendy Karcher and husband Brandon, Somersworth, Kenneth, Tara, Jamie, and Ashleigh Hausman, all of Cumberland; and three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Seth, and Emily.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Grace United Methodist Church, Virginia Avenue, Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Jewell officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
ROBERT L. LOGESTON
FLINTSTONE - Robert Leo Logeston, 84, of Flintstone, died Monday, July 19, 1999, at the Lions Manor Nursing Home.
Born June 17, 1915, in Chaneysville, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles and Georgie (Bennett) Logeston. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie (Simmons) Logeston; three brothers, Jim, Charles and Ed Logeston; a son, Donald Logeston; two sisters, Iris Susan and Magdalene; and a great-granddaughter, Michelle Logeston in infancy.
Mr. Logeston was a retired mail carrier. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are one son, Rodney Logeston and wife Debbie, Flintstone; one sister, Margarette Yukum and husband John, Beans Cove, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Logeston, Flintstone; two grandsons, Donald Lee Logeston and wife Eileen and Kirk Logeston, all of Flintstone; a great-grandson, Donny Lee Logeston III, and a great-granddaughter, Jamie Logeston, both of Flintstone.
Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Jones officiating.
Interment will follow in the Flintstone IOOF Cemetery.
FRANCES H. KENNER
MIDLAND - Frances Hughleen (Crowe) Kenner, 61, of Lions Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland, formerly of 131 Paradise St., Midland, died May 5, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Sept. 27, 1937, in Midland, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur Rudolph Crowe and Mary P. (McViegh) Crowe. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Chester Robert Kenner, in April 1963; and a sister, Marie (Crowe) Drew.
Frances was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Midland, the Sodality of the Church, Eucharist Minister, and Medal of Honor Recipient. She also was a graduate of Tri-State Beauty Academy, and was a former employee of Gla Mar Beauty Salon, Midland.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah R. (Kenner) Bennett and husband, Martin, Lonaconing, and Mary Frances (Crowe) Skidmore, Midland; four brothers, Wilbur J. Crowe, Donald G. Crowe and wife Joan M., all of Midland, Michael Clark Crowe and wife Arlyne, Cleveland, Ohio, and Edward J. Crowe and wife H. Joan, Cresaptown; four grandchildren, Tyler Robert Bennett, Derrick Daniel Skidmore, William Elliott Bennett, Samantha Nicole Skidmore; several nieces and nephews, including Mary Beth Johnson, and Denise M. Crowe. Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Viola Kenner, Westernport, and her lifetime best friend, Sally Lyons Phillips, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, Thursday, May 6, 1999, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Friday, May 7, 1999, at 9:30 a.m. with Father Ed Hendricks as Celebrant. A Christian Wake Service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. with Sister Joan Maenner, O.S.F. Pastoral Life Director.
