EDNA D. LARUE
FROSTBURG - Edna Duncan LaRue, 75, of Frostburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Center.
Born Nov. 23, 1922, in Midland, she was the daughter of the late Martha Gertrude (Coleman) and Howard Ellsworth Davis. She was also predeceased by two husbands, Stanley Martin LaRue and George Duncan; and two brothers, Howard and Elmer Davis.
Mrs. LaRue was a member of Eckhart United Methodist Church. She was retired from Allegany Ballistics Laboratory.
Surviving are one son, Leroy Martin LaRue and wife, Darlene, Frostburg; two dearest grandchildren, Troy Martin LaRue and wife, Gloria, Mebane, NC, and Tara Michele LaRue-Craze and husband, Buddy, Frostburg; three great-grandchildren, Channing Ashton Craze, Chai LaRue Craze, and Chatia Raine Craze, whom she dearly loved; two sisters, Elsie Fazenbaker, Frostburg, and Martha Winfield and husband, Kenney, Cumberland; one brother, Perry Davis, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; and two she reared, Allen Duncan and wife, Anna, Pensacola, Fla.; and Linda Brotemarkle and husband, Jeff, Cumberland; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Davis, Midland, Viola Davis, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home, on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold, officiating.
Interment will be in Emmanuel United Methodist Cemetery.
MARY A. JOHNSON
MELBOURNE, Fla. - Mary Audrey Johnson, 77, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Jan. 5, 1999, at her home in Melbourne from an extended illness.
Born on Aug. 27, 1921, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Lewis W. Metz and Harriet (Hoopengardner) Metz.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Paul L. Johnson, whom she married
on March 9, 1941; one daughter, Pauletta Louise Johnson, Melbourne; and four brothers, Elmer P. Metz Sr. and wife, Alice, Hagerstown, Md., Lewis A. Metz Sr., Cumberland, Lester K. Metz and wife, Olive, Salt Lake City, Utah, Edward O. Metz, her twin, Cumberland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Fort Hill High School in the class of 1940. She was a former employee of the Celanese Corporation, and as a child attended the First Baptist Church in Cumberland.
She will be cremated in Melbourne, and her ashes will be interred at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland, with graveside services.
MARION W. ISNER SR.
FLINTSTONE - Marion William Isner Sr., 53, of 10507 Hill Top Farm Road S.E., Flintstone, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, at Mid Western Regional Medical Center in Zion, Ill.
Born Sept. 7, 1946, in Cumberland, he was the son of Margaret V. (Stafford) Isner, Cumberland, and the late Leo Isner. He also was preceded in death by his infant son, Jeffrey Isner; and one brother, Richard Isner.
Mr. Isner was a mechanic at Wilson's Auto Sales in Cumberland. He was a former member of the Maryland National Guard.
Surviving are his wife, Judy (Welsh) Isner, Flintstone; two sons, Marion (J.R.) W. Isner Jr. and wife Teresa, Cumberland, and Steven Isner and wife Michele, Flintstone; one daughter, Cheryl Schoenadel and husband Jason, Flintstone; three sisters, Gladys Gartzke and husband Charles, Oxford, Iowa, Vera Roland and husband Richard, Clearville, Pa., and Geraldine Fuller and husband Kenneth, Cumberland; one brother, Lester Isner and wife Ann, Cumberland; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Hymes officiating.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park.

ERNEST O. HEBERLE
LAVALE - Ernest Otto Heberle, 81, formerly of 1055 National Highway, LaVale, passed away Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Lions Manor Nursing Home where he had been a resident.
Born in Cumberland on Oct. 14, 1917, he was the son of the late Herman and Amanda (Shultz) Heberle. His wife, Janice C. (Bittner) Heberle, also preceded him in death in 1997.
He was a retired Brakeman on the B&O; Railroad and was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was Lutheran by faith.
As of this time, no services of visitation is scheduled.

DORTHA L. KERNS
RAWLINGS - Dortha L. (Copeland) Kerns, 78, of Rawlings, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, at her residence.
Born Nov. 20, 1920, in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Claud and May (Shaffer) Copeland. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph Kerns, in 1994.
Mrs. Kerns was former employee of the Kelly Springfield Tire Company, Cumberland, and a member of the Centre Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, James R. Kerns and wife, Angelina, Cumberland; two sisters, Phyllis Scarlett, Martinsburg, W.Va., Helen Louise Wilson, Orlando, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Nina Marie Kerns, and Alexis Ann Kerns.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home, on Thursday at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Lloyd B. McCanna, officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
AUDREY HECK
CUMBERLAND - Audrey (Poole) Heck, 78, of Cumberland, went to be with her Lord and savior on Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at the Allegany County Nursing Home.
Born April 28, 1920, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Thornton Ellsworth Poole and Margaret Ann (Iser) Poole. She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Mobley Wright; and her second husband, Francis H. Heck.
Mrs. Heck was retired from food service at the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad YMCA. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Shipway and husband Bill, Cumberland; two grandsons, William D. Shipway Jr. and wife Debbie, Short Gap, W.Va., and Timothy E. Shipway and wife Ann, Martinsburg, W.Va.; four great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Brian, Samantha and Joey Shipway; five sisters, Hazel Shank and Wilma Arrington, both of Cumberland, Geraldine Peters, Charlottesville, Va., Wanda Wood, Petersburg, Va., and Dorothy McClain, Pensacola, Fla.; and a best friend, Betty Ralston.
A private service will be conducted at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice or to the American Cancer Society.
JERALDINE C. LAVIN
ECKHART - Jeraldine C. Lavin, 59, of Washington Hollow, Eckhart, died Friday, April 23, 1999, at her home.
Born May 5, 1939, in Eckhart, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lavina (Porter) Turk. She also was preceded in death by her twin sister, Josephine Turk.
Mrs. Lavin had been employed at the Beall High School cafeteria. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She was a member of A.F.S.C.M.E. Local.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Lavin; one daughter, Jacqueline Skidmore and husband Tom, Eckhart; three grandsons, Thomas, Joshua and John Skidmore; three sisters, Mary Jo Campbell and husband Lane, Eckhart, Darlene Frye and husband William, Frostburg, and Marie Spiker and husband Joe, Eckhart.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Christian Wake Service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Monday at 10 a.m. with Father William Moody as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas D. Skidmore, Thomas E. Skidmore, Thomas P. Skidmore, Joshua D. Skidmore, Robert L. Bollinger, Lane A. Campbell Jr. and Dennis M. Lavin.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Michael's School or the charity of the donor's choice.
