ALICE B. HARDMAN
CUMBERLAND - Alice B. Hardman, 63, of 10305 Jeffries Road, NE, Cumberland, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at the Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit.
Born Oct. 28, 1935, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Aldon Burnard Buckley and Elizabeth Alice (Deberry) Buckley of Cumberland. She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Marie Hardman.
Mrs. Hardman was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Edward C. Hardman; one son, Edward J. Hardman and wife Kim, Ridgeley, W.Va.; one daughter, A. Janie Ritter and husband Patrick, Owings Mills; one sister, Margaret Ellen Barbe, Cumberland; five grandchildren, Paula Morgan, Cumberland, Becky Jones, Cumberland, April Washington, Cumberland, Aaron Hardman, Ridgeley, and Ryan Hardman, Ridgeley; and five great-grandchildren, Natasha Jones, Abbie Morgan, Tanisha Washington, Ty Jones and Neal Morgan, all of Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
ALTHEA C. LASHBAUGH
BARTON - Althea C. (Robertson) Lashbaugh, 95, of Temperance Row, Barton, and recently of the Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born March 6, 1904, in Barton, Mrs. Lashbaugh was the daughter of the late John and Helena (Lyons) Robertson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis W. Lashbaugh; her eldest daughter, Patricia A. Gowans and a brother, William G. Robertson.
She was a member of Barton United Methodist Church for more than 70 years, and was also a member of both the Barton and George's Creek Senior Citizens organizations.
Surviving are her daughter, Judith Donaldson and husband, Tim, Lonaconing; her son-in-law, Harry R. Gowans, also of Lonaconing; one brother, Harold Robertson, Keyser, W.Va.; one sister, Ruth Smith, also of Keyser; one grandson, Harry C. Donaldson, Lonaconing; one granddaughter, Catherine A. Riley and husband, John, Cumberland; one great-granddaughter, Annie Donaldson, Friendsville; three great-grandsons, Justin M. Winner, Westernport; Brady M. Donaldson, Deer Park and Jack Henry Riley, Cumberland, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Park officiating.
Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
The family requests that donations in Mrs. Lashbaugh's name be made to Barton United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
SAMUEL L. LONG JR.
PERRY, Ohio - Samuel L. Long Jr., 66, of Perry, formerly of Frostburg, Md., died June 20, 1999, at his residence.
Born June 25, 1932, in Frostburg, he was a son of the late Samuel and Cora C. (Atkinson) Long.
Survivors are his wife, Lona Long; daughters, Renee Long, Teresa Salamane, Charlene Owen and Lorrie Mills; sons, Samuel III, Randy, Sam J. Long, William Mills and Darryl Mills; 18 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; one sister, Maryellen Perdew; and four brothers, Raymond, Gerald, James and Larry Long.
Services were held Wednesday, June 23, at Behm Funeral Home, Madison, Ohio.
WILLIAM H. JUDY
CRESAPTOWN - William H. Judy, 87, of the Devlin Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Cresaptown, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born Aug. 13, 1911, in Riverton, W.Va., he was the son of the late Isum Judy and Ameda (Thompson) Wyant.
Mr. Judy was retired from the Celanese Corp., Cumberland. He was a member of Liberty Temple, Cresaptown.
Surviving are his wife, Edna F. Judy; one son, Richard Judy, Circleville, W.Va.; two stepsons, Glen R. Lafferty and wife Audrey, Hampstead, and Donald E. Lafferty and wife Shirley, Hope Mills, N.C.; three brothers, William Judy and wife Shirley, Parsons, W.Va., Howard Judy and wife Shirley, Parsons, and Dick Judy and wife Loretta, Charleston, W.Va.; nine step-grandchildren; and 15 step-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold Winter officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
LUCILLE I. KRAMPF
CUMBERLAND - Lucille I. Krampf, 88, of Cumberland, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born July 25, 1911, in Hazen, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Mattie D. (Penrod) Robertson. She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Emil Edgar Krampf; her second husband, William F. Ruppert; four brothers, Howard Roberston, Hayes Robertson, Russell Robertson and Wyllys Robertson; one half brother, Guy Robertson; one sister, Vada Robertson; and one half sister, Carrie Diehl.
Mrs. Krappf had been a private duty sitter. She was a member of the Cumberland Senior Citizens and was an avid shopper.
Survivors include one son, John "Jack" F. Krampf Sr. and wife Jean, Cumberland; three sisters, Ora Mae Lewis, Cumberland, LaVonne Young, Frostburg Village, and Dorothy Gelletly, Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, Dianne Shuck and husband Dave, Suzanne Boyd and husband Ron, and John F. Krampf Jr. and wife Becky, all of Cumberland; six great-grandchildren, Daniel Krampf, Jennifer Krampf, Jonathan Boyd, Eric Boyd, Mark Wiseman and Jordon Wiseman, all of Cumberland; and one step-great-grandchild, Cassie Shuck, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Stephen F. Yelovich officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Boyd, Jonathan Boyd, Richard Blank, William C. Lewis II, William C. Lewis III, and John F. Krampf Jr.

CUMBERLAND - The Rev. Betty Jane Hardman, 71, of 14600 Hardman Road, S.E., Cumberland, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 10, 1999, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.
Born in Cumberland, March 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Samuel A. Rankin and the late Florence L. (Wagner) Rankin.
The Rev. Hardman was the co-pastor of Soul's Harbor Church.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Hardman Sr.; two sons, Kenneth Eugene Hardman Jr. and wife, Linda, Cumberland, David W. Hardman Sr. and wife, Vicki, Cumberland; one daughter, Bonnie K. Collins and husband, John, Cumberland; one brother, Jacob Rankin, Cumberland; one sister, Lizamae Lewis, Cumberland; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Harland Miller and the Rev. Betty Kennedy.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

MARGARET VIRGINIA HARDMAN
LAVALE - Margaret Virginia Hardman, 89, of LaVale, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at her residence.
She was born June 22, 1909, in Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m.
Services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Lloyd B. McCanna officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
