THE REV. RALPH A. MICHAEL
CUMBERLAND - The Rev. Ralph Andrew Michael, 75, of 1450 Oldtowne Manor Apartments, Cumberland, Md., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 16, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.
Born September 14, 1923, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late James Andrew Michael and the late Vallie (Rankin) Michael. He also was preceded by a sister, Evelyn Clites; and two brothers, Kenneth Michael and Donald Michael.
Mr. Michael was retired from Columbia Gas. He was a Baptist minister for twenty-one years. His first church was the Bedford Baptist Church in Bedford, Pa. He also served as minister at Greensboro Baptist Church, Greensboro, Md., Hallwood Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church, Hallwood, Va., and Fairview Christian Church at Inglesmith, Pa.
Surviving are a wife, Lorna L. (Springer) Michael, Cumberland, Md,; two sons, Pastor Dennis A. Michael and wife Ruth, Bedford, Pa., and the Rev. Larry J. Michael and wife Mary Ann, Clanton, Ala.; a daughter, Beverly Ann Twigg and husband Charles, Cumberland, Md.; two brothers, Gerald Michael and wife Lola, Cumberland, Md., and Glendon 'Mike' Michael and wife Shirley, Cumberland, Md.; two sisters, Leona Rice and husband Glenn, Cumberland, Md., and Eleanor Simpson and husband Darrell, Cumberland, Md.; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Larry J. Michael officiating.
Interment will be in Davis Memorial Park.
RENEE L. MICHAEL
CUMBERLAND - Renee L. Michael, 75, of Cumberland, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at Memorial Hospital as the result of an automobile accident.
Mrs. Michael was born Aug. 18, 1923, in Paris, France. She was a retired senior accountant for the Kelly-Springfield Tire Co.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph D. Michael, and one son, Henry A. Brown and wife Carolyn, all of Cumberland; and a cousin Suzie Golden, Paris, France.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Jewell officiating.
Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
BESSIE M. MILBURN
CUMBERLAND - Bessie M. "Mitzer" Milburn, 63, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 24, 1999. She died at Memorial Hospital.
Born June 27, 1936, in Vale Summit, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas II and Bessie May (Wampler) Winters. She also was preceded in death by her first husband, James Edward Wilt Sr.; her second husband, Robert Allen Milburn; and her youngest daughter, Wendy Marie (Wilt) Dolan.
Mrs. Milburn was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 245.
Surviving are two sons, Larry C. Wilt Sr. and wife Rebecca, Eckhart, and James E. Wilt Jr. and wife Laura, Abilene, Texas; one daughter, Kimberly L. (Wilt) Taylor and husband Donald, Cumberland; one stepdaughter, Sue Ann Brady and husband Francis, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one brother, John Thomas Winters III and wife Louise, Chardon, Ohio; one sister, Sarah Agnes Keller, Lonaconing; one twin sister, Betty Ann Manley, Stowe, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren. She also is survived by a very special companion of 26 years, James Reynolds, with whom she resided.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Harpold of Vale Summit United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

ADA L. MILLER
FREDERICK - Ada LaRae (Lasure) Miller, 67, of Motter Avenue, Frederick, formerly of Hyndman, Pa., died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick.
Born Dec. 3, 1931, in Somerset County, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Howard and Rose (Bittinger) Lasure. Her brother, Randall R. Lasure, also preceded Mrs. Miller in death.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband of 37 years, Melvin C. Miller, whom she married
on Feb. 28, 1967; three sons, Charles H. Sarver and wife, Carol, Ellerslie, Barry L. Sarver and wife, Nancy, Cumberland, and Marty R. Sarver, LaVale; two sisters, Carol Sarver, Wellersburg, Pa., and Linda Bittner, Cumberland; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Miller was retired from the Hartz Manufacturing Company of Frederick.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Monday, July 12, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 13, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. R.W. Teague and the Rev. Dwight Yinkey officiating.
Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
AGNES C. MILLER
CUMBERLAND - Agnes Clarissa Miller, 86, of Cumberland, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 7, 1912, in Ridgeley, W.Va. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and former employee of the Celanese Corp. and Burke's Tavern. She was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Vernon R. Miller; two daughters, Sharon Ann Miller, Morristown, N.J., and Susan Stauber and husband Harold, Charleston, S.C.; four sons, David R. Miller and wife Brenda, and John C. Miller and wife Annie Mae, all of Sumter, S.C., Vernon E. Miller, and Dennis E. Warnick, Cockeysville; two brothers, Kyle Shepherd and wife Grace, Ridgeley, and Charles W. Shepherd, Cumberland; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

BERTHA E. MILLER
WESTERNPORT - Bertha Elizabeth Miller, 96, of 23519 Stoney Run Road, Westernport, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at her residence.
Born June 29, 1903, at Firm Rock, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Fannie (Grove) Fazenbaker. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Miller, on July 4, 1975; two daughters, Laverne and Marcella; one son, Alfred Miller; one sister; and six brothers.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.
Surviving are one son, Forrest Miller, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; two daughters, Josephine Blizzard and Darlene Brashear, both of Westernport; one brother, Robert Lee Fazenbaker, Cresaptown; one sister, Leona Magruder, Barton; a sister-in-law, Leah Fazenbaker, Westernport; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-, great-great-, and great-great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Loar officiating.
Interment will be in the Miller Cemetery, Stoney Run. Pallbearers will be Roger Brashear, Jeff Brashear, Richard Haines, Andy Blizzard, Robert Miller Jr. and David Miller.
