RICHARD A. MORGAN
MOUNT SAVAGE - Richard A. Morgan, 77, of Mount Savage Road NW, Mount Savage, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born May 12, 1922, in Corriganville, he was the son of the late John and Fairy B. (Lowery) Morgan.
Mr. Morgan was a retired car man for the Chessie System Railroad. He was a member of the Barrelville Presbyterian Church, the Haystack Mountain Sportsmen's Club, the Barrelville Outdoor Sportsmen's Club, and the Piney Mountain Sportsmen's Club.
Surviving are his wife, Della June Morgan; two sons, Rick A. Morgan and wife Rose, Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Larry A. Morgan, California; one sister, Marion Kessell, Mount Savage; two grandsons, Bobby Morgan and Ronnie Morgan; one granddaughter, Selena; and one great-grandson.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Elder Peter Goetschius officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
MARGUERITE B. PARROTT
LOS ALAMOS, N.M. - Marguerite Blake Parrott, daughter of Armond and Hazel (Dickerhoof) Wilkinson, died April 9, 1999, at the Sombrero Nursing Home, Los Alamos, N.M.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Blake, Los Alamos; and Rodger Blake, Tucson, Ariz.; and sisters, Genevieve Hopwood and Niletta King, Cumberland.
A sister, Yeteive Riley passed away on April 17, 1999.
Services were held at the Sombrero Nursing Home.
WILLIAM S. MORGART
BALTIMORE - William Stewart Morgart, 60, of Baltimore, formerly of Rainesburg, Pa., died of lung cancer on Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at the Stella Maris Hospice Unit of Mercy Hospital, Baltimore.
Born Nov. 20, 1939, in Rainesburg, he was the son of the late William E. and Ada Pearl Morgart. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Morgart of Rainesburg.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Shelby (Long) Morgart, formerly of Wiley Ford, W.Va.; three daughters, Jennifer Morgart and Julie Morgart, both of Baltimore, and Karen Morgart, Greenwood Ark.; one sister, Dorothy Steele and husband Eugene, Hopewell, Pa.; mother-in-law, Lavada (Midge) Long, Wiley Ford; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry and Sue Long of Waueson, Ohio, and Denny and Georgie Powell, Ridgeley, W.Va.; three nephews, Todd Powell, Columbia, S.C., Henry Long and Billy Joe Long, both of Baltimore; one niece, Tina Long, Baltimore; one uncle, Luther (Bud) Ashenfelter, Cumberland; and one aunt, Lena Robinette, Wiley Ford.
Mr. Morgart had been a mechanic with Domino Sugar for 31 years. His interests included football, car racing and wrestling.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Benny Brakeall officiating.

RICHARD J. MORRIS
CUMBERLAND - Richard Joseph Morris, 68, of 237 Henderson Ave., Cumberland, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at his home.
Born Aug. 27, 1931, in Cumberland, he was the son of Edna Mae (DeVore) Morris, of Cumberland, and the late Peter Michael Morris.
Mr. Morris was a retired employee of Memorial Hospital as a carpenter with 43 years of service. He was a member of the Potomac Valley Revival Center.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Marlene M. (Dicken) Morris, Cumberland; a loving companion, his dog, Angel; two brothers, Francis Morris, Cumberland, and James P. Morris, Cumberland; and four sisters, Delores Stottlemyer, Cumberland, Anna S. Taylor, Ellerslie, Mary Plummer, LaVale, and Shirley Plummer, Ridgeley, W.Va.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dan Stottlemyer of Phoenix, Ariz., officiating.
Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
EDNA M. MORRISSEY
CUMBERLAND - Edna Marie (Bobbie) Morrissey, 83, of Cumberland died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at the home of her son Paul Morrissey with whom she had been residing.
Born April 13, 1916, in Cresaptown, she was the daughter of the late Russell Lewis Oss and Eva Nora (Robinette) Oss. She also was preceded by her husband Henry Morrissey and her stepfather Harry William Carroll.
Mrs. Morrissey was owner and operator of Bobbie's Beauty Salon. She was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church, former President of the Maryland State Hairdresser's Association and a member of the Western Maryland Model Trains Club.
Surviving are a son, Paul H. Morrissey and wife K. Paulette, Cumberland; a daughter, Noreen Minke, Santa Barbara, Ca.; a sister Alleene Plummer, Frostburg; and four grandchildren, Chris Morrissey, April Morrissey, Ember Morrissey and Jennifer Minke.

MARY MARGARET NICOL
LONACONING - Mary Margaret Nicol, 81, formerly of Jackson Street, Lonaconing, died March 8, 1999, at Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, where she had been a patient for 13 months.
She was born at Keyser, W.Va., on July 16, 1917, a daughter of the late Dora and Nannie (Triplett) Foltz. Her husband, Lee Lynn Nicol, died in 1956. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Lee Nicol; and by three brothers, Melvin, Howard and Roy Foltz.
Mrs. Nicol was Pentecostal by faith. She was a member of Georges Creek Senior Citizens.
Surviving are one son, Charles Melvin Nicol and wife, Patricia, Laurel; one daughter, Roberta Lynn Preston and husband, William, Klondike; three grandchildren, Charles Lee Nicol, Stacey Lynne Jesse and Tammy Lynn Broadwater; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Riggleman, Keyser; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Webb officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing.
ADELAIDE B. MORTON
CUMBERLAND - Adelaide Beatrix (Waingold) Morton, died at her residence on Dec. 6, 1999.
Born on Oct. 30, 1912, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Waingold and Rose Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Irv Morton, in 1984.
Mrs. Morton was co-founder of Morton's Jewelry Store. Her lively spirit and generous heart will be missed greatly.
Surviving are one daughter, Maxine Frey and husband, Frank; two daughters, Joy Wilt and husband, Gregg, Julie Frey; and one great-granddaughter, Haley Rose Wilt.
At the request of Mrs. Morton there will be no visitation. A private interment will be in East View Cemetery.
