LILLIAN L. PRYOR
FROSTBURG - Lillian Loretta Pryor, 75, of Frostburg Heights, died Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 25, 1924, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Leora (Sipple) Lancaster. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Pryor.
Mrs. Pryor was a homemaker and was very loving and giving to her family. She is a star in heaven. She attended Sunday School at the First English Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Allen A. Pryor and wife Roxann, Lonaconing; two daughters, Gerri Baker and husband Mike, Cumberland, and Marlene Diggs and husband Mark, Carpendale, W.Va.; two grandsons, Ron Nicol and wife Jennifer, and Clint Bridges; three granddaughters, Kandi Nicol, Holly Bridges and Alison Diggs; two great-grandchildren, Jesse and Ami Nicol; three brothers, James Lancaster, Frostburg, John Lancaster, Ohio, and Irvin Lancaster, Iowa; and two sisters, Katherine Lohr and Thelma Laurie, both of Frostburg.
There will be no visitation. At her request her remains have been cremated. A memorial service will be set for a later date.

WILBERT F. "BUS" MOWEN
CUMBERLAND - Wilbert F. "Bus" Mowen, 85, of Lilac Lane, N.E., Cumberland, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at his residence.
Born on Dec. 11, 1913, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Wilbert LeRoy Mowen and Mary Jane (Spence) Mowen. He also was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Yeager, Frances Hornbrook and Elsie Rose Blubaugh.
Mr. Mowen was a retired employee of the Celanese Corporation in Cumberland with more than 44 years of service. He worked on "B" shift in the spinning department. He was a member of Centre Street United Methodist Church, Past President and Past Treasurer of the Fellowship Club, the Ushers Club and the United Methodist Men's Club.
Mr. Mowen graduated from Flintstone High School in 1932. He was a Past Master and Tyler Emeritus of Ohr Lodge No. 131 AF & AM. He was the Grand Inspector of the Grand Lodge of Maryland for Fort Cumberland Lodge No. 211 AF & AM and East Gate Lodge No. 216 AF & AM, and was appointed Vice President Inspector for Western Maryland. He was Past President of the Masonic Temple Association and custodian for the Temple, was Past President of the Past Masters Association of Western Maryland, a 33rd Degree Mason, having served as presiding officer of the four Scottish Rite Bodies in Maryland. He was an Inspector General Honorary of Cumberland Scottish Rite Bodies, Past Venerable Master and Past Wise Master of the Scottish Rites Bodies of Cumberland, and was invested with the 32nd Degree, Knight Commander Court of Honor.
Mr. Mowen was Past Commander of the Knight of Kadosh and Past Master of Kadosh of the Cumberland Consistory, Captain of the 30th Degree and Past Master of wardrobes; a member of the Order of Scotland, Past Patron of McKinley Chapter No. 12 Order of the Eastern Star. He also was a member and Past Vice President of the Past Matrons and Past Patrons Association of Western Maryland. He is holder of the grand cross of colors for the Order of Rainbow Girls No. 6, a member of Ali Ghan Shrine Temple, Past President and Past Chaplain of the Ritualistic Unit, Past President of the Past Masters unit and Past Vice President of Unit Heads, a member of the Gentlemen of the Creek, and was an honorary Kentucky colonel. Mr. Mowen was a Past Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Maryland, and Past High Priest of Salem Chapter No. 18 R.A.M., Past Thrice Illustrious Master of Salem Council No. 11 R. and S.M., a Past Commander and member of the Past Commander Association of Antioch Commandery No. 6, Knight Templar. He was commissioned as a grand representative to Arizona, a member of Francis Scott Key Priory No. 14, Knight York Cross of Honor & York Rite College No. 58, Maryland Council #9, and Allied Degrees Council A.
Mr. Mowen also belonged to Bonnie Blink Daylight Lodge, George Washington Masonic National Association, International DeMoley Alumni Association and charter member of Dr. John Coats Memorial Lodge at Bonnie Blink.
He belonged to AARP No. 2400 and was a driver for Meals on Wheels for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alta Lee "Susie" (House) Mowen; one daughter, Cleo J. Grams and husband, Robert, Clear Spring; one son, Wilbert A. Mowen and wife, Eileen, Cumberland; one grandson; four granddaughters; three great-grandsons; one sister, Florence "Daisy" Thompson and husband, Clarence, Cumberland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Kight Funeral Home, 309-311 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Centre Street United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lloyd B. McCanna officiating.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Friends may call on the family after 10 a.m. on Monday. The casket will be closed at the church.
Pallbearers will be Past Masters of Ohr Lodge No. 131 AF & AM, Ronnie Middleton, Bill Hout, John Spence, Hugh Livengood, Roy Lashbaugh, Arthur Nave, Donald Hansel; also, Danny Linaburg Jr. and Danny Linaburg III, Past Masters of East Gate Lodge No. 216 AF & AM.
Honorary pallbearers will be from the Centre Street United Methodist Men's Club, 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Bodies of Cumberland, Past Masters and Ritualistic Units of Ali Ghan Shrine Temple, Past Commanders of Antioch No. 6 York Rite, and members of East Gate Lodge No. 216 AF & AM.
Ohr Lodge No. 131 AF & AM will hold memorial services at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
McKinley Chapter No. 12 Order of the Eastern Star will hold memorial services at the funeral home on Sunday at 8 p.m.
The family has requested that contributions take the form of donations to the memorial fund at Centre Street United Methodist Church.
MARY J. MOWERY (JOHNSON)
CUMBERLAND - Mary J. Mowery, 86, of Cumberland, died Monday, Aug. 2, 1999, at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
Born on July 23, 1913, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late James H. Johnson and Sarah E. (Rummer) Johnson. Her husband, Walter Mowery, died in 1966.
Mrs. Mowery was a member of Beth-Shan Assembly of God.
She is survived by one sister, Mamie L. Yost, with whom she resided; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Kight Funeral Home, 309-311 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Greg Georg officiating.
Interment will be at Zion Memorial Park.
COYD W. ORNDORFF
WESTERNPORT - Coyd Wright Orndorff, 75, of 411 Vine St., Westernport, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born on Oct. 10, 1923, in Burlington, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ira A. and Mary M. (Borror) Orndorff.
Mr. Orndorff was a United States Army veteran during World War II, having received the purple heart. He was retired from the power center of Westvaco Corp. Coyd was a member of the Victory Post 155 American Legion, Westernport, Queens Point V.F.W. 6775, McCoole, and the disabled American Veterans, Oakland. He was also Methodist by faith.
Surviving him are his wife, Maxine (Henry) Orndorff; two sons, Kenneth Orndorff, Wardensville, W.Va., and James Orndorff, Westernport; one brother, Kenneth Orndorff, Calif.; one sister, Audrey Beeman, McCoole; two grandsons, Evan Orndorff and Dana Orndorff; one great-granddaughter, Hailey Orndorff; one step-granddaughter, Tammie Shrader; and one step-grandson, Josh Shrader.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, W.Va., where full military honors will be accorded at graveside by the combined veterans organizations.
CHARLES J. MULLIGAN SR.
MOUNT SAVAGE - Charles J. "Chas" Mulligan Sr., 93, of 15510 Mount Savage Row Road, Mount Savage, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Dec. 15, 1905, in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late James and Catherine (Hiner) Mulligan. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda (Spitznas) Mulligan, in 1995; and nine brothers and sisters.
Mr. Mulligan retired after 50 years of being the owner/operator of the Mulligan Brothers' Grocery Store in Mount Savage. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage, and the Old Rail Post 6025 V.F.W.
Surviving are a son, Charles J. Mulligan Jr., Mount Savage; a brother, Carl "Brownie" Mulligan, Mount Savage; two sisters, Angela Witt, Cumberland, and Alice Mulligan, Mount Savage; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sister Joan Minella, S.S.N.D., will conduct Prayers for the Departed at the funeral home at 7:15 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, Mount Savage, on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ed Hendricks as celebrant.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded at graveside by the Old Rail Post Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Ed Monahan, Harry Brannon, Joe Robertson, Don Rice, Bill Pratt and Coby Hughes.
