MARY K. MCCULLOUGH
CUMBERLAND - Mary Kate McCullough, 85, of Sunset Drive, Cumberland, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at home.
Born July 20, 1913, in County Mayo, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Duffy) Frain. She also was preceded in death by her husband, John P. McCullough; a brother, Michael Frain; and a sister, Eileen Horkins.
Mrs. McCullough was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Biery and husband Thomas, Cumberland, with whom she resided; four sisters, Margaret Frain, Bea Benett, Kathlyn Carr and Una Delaney, all of Philadelphia; two brothers, Patrick Frain and Tony Frain, both of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren, John Biery, Senior Airman U.S. Air Force, Germany, and Susan Biery, student at Penn State University.
Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. The Rosary will be recited on Monday at 8:45 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father Vance Pastorius as celebrant.
Interment will follow in the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.

OLIVER D. MCCUSKER
CROSSVILLE, Tenn. - Oliver D. McCusker, 70, of Crossville, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died July 24, 1999.
He was born Sept. 12, 1928, in Cumberland.
Mr. McCusker was retired from the B&O; Railroad. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter No. 32.
Surviving are his wife, Lorena McCusker; son, Dewane McCusker, Crossville; three daughters, Sherry Lizarraga, Regina Gwyn Hajny, both of Crossville, Nancy Crites, of Maryland; a brother, James D. McCusker, West Virginia; a sister, Roberta Levitt, West Virginia; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchilren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and funeral services were conducted at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 27, 1999, with Pastor Mike Ritzman and Associate Pastor Jerry Smith officiating.
Interment was in the Crossville City Cemetery.
DORIS JEAN MCDERMOTT
GLEN BURNIE - Doris Jean McDermott, 81, of Glen Burnie, formerly of Cumberland, died of heart failure, Monday, May 24, 1999, at Mariner Health Center of Glen Burnie.
She was born Jan. 22, 1918, at Martinsburg, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. McDermott, in August 1998; and a son, George Bernard McDermott.
Mrs. McDermott had been employed as a survey taker for various research firms.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cumberland, the Sodality, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America, and Ladies of Charity in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Surviving are her children, F. Michael McDermott, Lexington, Ky., Kevin P. McDermott, Glen Burnie, C. Rachel Finan, Glen Bernie; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass in celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 26, at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinty Catholic Church in Glen Burnie.
Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Cumberland, on Saturday, June 5, at 1 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, Glen Burnie.
KENNETH M. PERRY
CUMBERLAND - Kenneth M. Perry, 80, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999, at his home.
Born Jan. 5, 1919, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Roy H. and Effie G. (Kelly) Perry. He also was preceded in death by one son, Steven K. Perry; and eight brothers and sisters.
Mr. Perry was a retired conductor for the B & O Railroad. After his retirement, he was a conductor for the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. He was a member and trustee of the Grace Brethren Church. He was a U.S. army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Mary G. (Mencer) Perry; two sons, Gregory D. Perry and wife Patty, and Thomas K. Perry and wife Monette, all of Cumberland; three daughters, Donna R. Weller and husband Kenneth, Cumberland, Kathy L. Feight and husband Roger, Winchester, Va., and Kelly L. Perry, Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Kenda Sue Schramm and husband Ernest, Samantha S. Moon and husband Larry, all of LaVale, Gabriel D. Perry, Frostburg, Joshua J. Feight and wife Jill, Augusta, Ga., Sarah A. Perry, Cumberland, Rachel A. Feight, Winchester, Zachary H. Perry and Hannah S. Perry, both of Cumberland; three great-grandchildren, Jade, Samuel and Tyler; two brothers, Russell Perry, Martinsburg, W.Va., and Ward Perry and wife Ann, Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Louise Hull, Clear Spring, and Glenna Wilson and husband Charles, Berkeley Springs; several nieces, nephews, cousins and very good friends.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. with the Pastor Raymond McCoy officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Cumberland.
ORA F. MCKENZIE
CRESAPTOWN - Ora Frances McKenzie, 91, of Goodwill Mennonite Nursing Home, Grantsville, formerly of Cresaptown, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born March 13, 1908, in Allegany County, she was the daughter of the late Ruben and Hattie (Lease) Lease. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Todd" McKenzie; one son, John D. McKenzie; and one daughter, Rita E. Johnson, formerly of Oakland; one sister, Harriel Lease; and three brothers, Mason, Arlie and Frederick Lease.
Mrs. McKenzie and her husband operated a grocery store on Lee Street and in Bowling Green for many years. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Cresaptown, and loved doing the bake sale fund raiser for several years. She was also a member of the Ladies Society of the church.
Surviving are two sons, Richard A. McKenzie and wife, Patricia, Cumberland, and James E. McKenzie, Cumberland; four daughters, Jackie M. Johnson and husband, Wayne, Oakland, Marion L. Brown and husband, John, Monroeville, Pa., Sonia "Sonny" Senn, Ridgeley, and Rebecca Poole and husband, Greg, Augusta, Ga.; one brother, Frank Lease, Ellerslie; seven grandchildren, Jackie Herring, California, Randy Herring, Winchester, Va., Kriste Diamond and husband, Richard, Hagerstown, Richard McKenzie, Cumberland, John McKenzie, Philadelphia, Pa., Julie Christopher and husband, Todd, Cumberland, Tammy Brown and husband, Todd, Cresaptown; two step-grandchildren, Robert and Judy Brown, Pittsburgh, Pa.; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday at 8:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church Friday at 10 a.m. with Fr. Reginald Russo, O.F.M., Cap. as celebrant.
Interment will be in the Lease Cemetery, Cresaptown.

DOROTHY L. PARSONS
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Dorothy L. Parsons, 70, died on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Parsons was the beloved wife of Sylvester (Sonny), formerly of Ft. Ashby, W.Va.; dear daughter-in-law of Maxine Parsons, Ft. Ashby; loving mother of Linda Abood, Ralph Stepro, Robert Stepro, Alan Stepro, Patricia Plut, and Nancy Stepro; dear grandmother of Michael, Dawne, Michelle, Nichole, Kristine, Melissa, William, Angel, Jennifer, Robert III, Andraya, Amanda, James, Ashley, Heather, Nancy, and Alicia; and dear great-grandmother of 15.
Friends may call at the Rybicki and Son, A Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4640 Turney Rd., Garfield Heights, Ohio, where services will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Bedford Heights, Ohio.
LOLA B. PARSONS
GREEN RIVER, Wyo. - Lola Beth "Mickey" Parsons, 56, of Green River, died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, at her home.
Born July 15, 1943, in Palestine, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Monte Ruben Belote and Eddie Lorraine Williams. She also was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Mrs. Parsons attended schools in Texas. She enjoyed music, good conversation, cooking and fishing. She is remembered for her sense of humor and as a very funny person.
She and her husband Roger, of Green River, who grew up in Cumberland, Md., lived in Cumberland from 1993 to 1996.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Joseph Craig Wrenn of Houston; two daughters, Kathleen Wrenn of Loveland, Colo., and Rebecca Wrenn of Ellisville, Miss.; two brothers, Monte Belote and Jimmy Fiveash, and one sister, Patricia Belote, all of Houston; mother and father-in-law, Helen and Pete Bierman of Cumberland; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Parsons' body was cremated on Aug. 23, 1999.
Memorial services will be conducted in Houston on Sept. 24, 1999.
Her ashes will be sprinkled in Galveston Bay.
