JOHNNY LEE OATES
SHORT GAP - Johnny Lee Oates, 36, of Short Gap, died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 7, 1962, in Cumberland, he was the son of John C. and Mary Jane (Spencer) Oates, Fort Ashby.
Mr. Oates had worked as a laborer in Winchester, Va.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his fiancee, Brenda Long; one son, Johnathan Oates; one daughter, Brittany Oates; and one stepson, Aaron Long, all at home; two brothers, Donald Oates and Richard Oates, both of Fort Ashby; paternal grandmother, Nellie Oates, Route 1, Keyser; and loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and a niece.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 1999, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Baugh officiating.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Orndorff, Bobby Gilbert, Wayne Long, Mike Saville, Paul Anderson and Bill Long.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Long and John Long.

ELIZABETH V. PETENBRINK
CUMBERLAND - Elizabeth Virginia Petenbrink, 85, of Cumberland, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at the Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
Born January 27, 1914, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Albert M. and Leah V. (Leydig) Raupach.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Petenbrink, June 18, 1953.
Mrs. Petenbrink was a retired waitress for Sheehe's Restaurant.
She was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ.
Surviving are one son, Robert F. Willingham and wife, Virginia, Stafford, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Norma L. Sterne, LaVale, Mrs. Dolly I. Hutson, Cumberland; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Harold T. Shaffer, Jr., officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glenco, Pa.
MARGARET E. MCINTYRE
LUKE - Margaret E. McIntyre, 79, of 333 Fairview St., Luke, Md., died Saturday, May 8, 1999, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.
Born on Dec. 1, 1919, at Barnum, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Sybilla 'Si' and Mittie (Bibey) Farris.
Mrs. McIntyre was a homemaker and Methodist by faith.
Margaret leaves behind her husband, Willis McIntyre; four sons, Richard McIntyre and wife Sherry of Westernport, Willis 'Woody' McIntyre and wife Barbara of Chesapeake, Va., Jack McIntyre and wife Bunny of Westernport, and Robert McIntyre and wife Becky of Westernport; three daughters, Dorothy Leatherman and husband Norman of Fountain, W.Va., Barbara Davis of Luke, and Janice Gift and husband Gary of Westernport; one brother, Ronald Farris of Keyser, W.Va.; four sisters, Marie White of Keyser, W.Va., Marian Pritts of Keyser, W.Va., Ruth Carpenter of McCoole, and Jean Johnson of Keyser, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren, Denyse Stanford, Lisa Stevenson, Rayma Davis, Kelli Smith, Monte Leatherman, Amy McCormick, Brian McIntyre, Darin McIntyre, Marla McIntyre, Kevin McIntyre, Crystal Ashberry and Jenni McIntyre; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Sumner Sawyer officiating.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
MARY L. PICCIANI
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Mary Louise Picciani, 69, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday, April 29, 1999, at her residence.
Born July 28, 1929, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Anthony F. Molinari Sr. and Mary Odessa (Culp) Molinari.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Odessa Meister and Gloria Molinari.
Mrs. Picciani was a retired Federal Government employee.
Surviving is her husband, Frank Picciani, St. Petersburg; and one son, Michael Picciani and wife, Adelyn, Bowie, Md.; one daughter, Sandra Zicklefoose and husband, Gerald, Prince Frederick, Md.; one brother, Anthony F. Molinari Jr. and wife, Patricia, Furnace Acres, W.Va.; and sister, Rita Virginia Farrin, Old Towne Manor, Cumberland; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A private ceremony will be conducted Sunday, May 2, 1999, at the Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, St. Petersburg.
Interment will be in the National Cemetery, Bay Pines, Fla.
DIANNA L. PIERCE
LONACONING - Dianna Lynn Pierce, 27, 14040 Village Mill, Maugansville, formerly of Lonaconing, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, as a result of an automobile accident.
Born Feb. 22, 1972, in Luray, Va., she was a daughter of Roger Lee Pierce, Lonaconing, and Patricia Dianne (Morlen) Garlitz, Frostburg.
She also is survived by her stepfather, Mark Allen Garlitz; one daughter, Sierra Lynn Pierce, at home; one brother, Roger S. Pierce; and one sister, Holly Pierce.
Dianna was employed at the Continental Restaurant and Hotel, Hagerstown, and was of the Brethren faith, having attended the Georges Creek Brethren Church, Lonaconing.
Dianna was a graduate of Valley High School, Lonaconing, in 1990.
She also attended Vo-tech.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, Wednesday, April 7, 1999, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday, April 8, 1999, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. J. Richard Greene officiating.
Interment will be in the Green Cemetery, Lonaconing.
