ADA ELEANOR RITCHIE
FROSTBURG - Ada Eleanor Ritchie, 77, of St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Center and formerly of 19703 Woodland Road, Frostburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born Dec. 16, 1921, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Theodore R. and Martha (Yantz) Buckingham. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ritchie.
Mrs. Ritchie was a retired bookkeeper from H&R; Block and the former McFarland Motors.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris "Dottie" Troutman and husband, Roy, Frostburg; two grandsons, Roy Troutman Jr., Woodland, and Rodney Troutman, Frostburg; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Troutman, Frostburg.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold Malone officiating.
Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.
STANLEY P. REBAR
BLOOMINGTON - Stanley P. "Joe" Rebar, 64, of Knight Street, Bloomington, died Monday, March 1, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born July 16, 1934, in Westernport, he was a son of the late Frederick T. and Mary E. (Flynn) Rebar. He also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marie Rebar.
Mr. Rebar was retired from the O'Sullivan Corp. of Winchester, Va. He was a former police officer in the City of Piedmont, W.Va., and was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Kelly Mansfield American Legion Post 52.
He is survived by his wife, Diane (Matthews) Rebar; a son, Logan Jo Rebar; two brothers, James Rebar and wife Florence, Goose Creek, S.C., and Robert Rebar and wife Lydia, Oceanside, Calif.; and two sisters, Joanna V. Bever and husband Jim, Fountain, W.Va., and Josephine C. Paugh and husband Robert Lee, Westernport.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday, March 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Nelson officiating.
At Mr. Rebar's request, he then will be cremated. His cremains will be interred in the Bloomington Cemetery.
FR. CARROLL WARNER
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Fr. Carroll Warner, OFM Cap., 88, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at Providence Hospital in Washington after a short illness.
Born in East Pittsburgh, Pa., on Aug. 3, 1910, Fr. Carroll was the son of the late Lawrence E. Warner and Nellie Scanlon Warner, and was a member of St. William Parish in East Pittsburgh.
Fr. Carroll attended St. Fidelis Seminary in Herman, Pa., from 1924-1930, entering the Capuchin Franciscan Order and professing temporary vows in 1931. He was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop John McNamara of the Archdoicese of Washington, on June 9, 1936, at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington.
For the first nine years of his priesthood, Fr. Carroll worked as a Catechetical instructor for outstation missions of St. Mary's Parish in Herman. This assignment was followed by almost 40 years of parish work in Wheeling, W.Va., Atwood and Victoria, Kan., Cresaptown, Md., Rochester and Pittsburgh, Pa., and Roswell, Ohio. Known for his gentle presence, his keen sense of humor and quiet prayerfulness, Fr. Carroll was ideal as a steady presence among the student friars in Washington from 1973-1976 and again in his retirement years since 1988.
There was a special visitation and prayer service for Fr. Carroll at Capuchin College, Washington, on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 4:30 p.m. His body was then taken to Pittsburgh where public viewing is possible on Thursday, Jan. 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Augustine Friar Chapel, 221 - 36th St. in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh. The friars and friends of Fr. Carroll will celebrate a wake service at 8 p.m. at the friary.
Fr. Paul Kuppe, OFM Cap., Provincial Minister of the Capuchin Franciscan Province of St. Augustine, will celebrate a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, at St. Augustine Worship Site of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 37th Street, Pittsburgh, Pa. Br. Paul Dressier, OFM Cap. is the homilist.
Burial will follow at the friars' plot of St. Augustine Cemetery, Millvale, Pa.
Fr. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William, in 1987.
He is survived by his brother, Paul G. Warner, Washington; and three sisters, Doctor Mary P. Warner, Hagerstown, Md., Rosella Spilman, Bethesda, Md., and Joan Kelly, Falls Church, Va.
RUTH L. WILSON
CUMBERLAND - Ruth Lee Siefers Wilson, 77, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 14, 1922, in Culpepper, Va., she was the daughter of the late James Norman and Elizabeth (Settle) Norman Brady Sherman. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Charles W. Siefers and George Wilson; and one sister, Louellen Norman.
Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. She was Baptist by faith.
Surviving are three sons, William J. Siefers and wife, Mitzie, Hampton, Va., Paul E. Siefers and wife, Bonnie, LaVale, and Robert L. Siefers and wife, Patricia, Cumberland; seven grandchildren, Stacy, Shawn, Brett, Todd, Greg, Billy, and Cathy; and two great-grandchildren, Marissa and Haley Siefers.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home, Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Benny R. Brakeall, officiating.
Interment will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and nephew.
SHAEN T. SMITH
WESTERNPORT - Shaen Thomas Smith, 9 months, of 315 Rock St., Westernport, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at his residence.
Born Nov. 20, 1998, in Cumberland, he was the son of Todd Allen Smith and Ellen Marie Green. Shaen was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Donald Smith.
Surviving are two brothers Derek Smith, Iowa, and Tyler Lewis, at home. Paternal grandmother Susan Smith, Minn., and maternal grandparents Raymond and Mary Lou Steele, Lonaconing, and maternal great-grandfather Charles Poland, Lonaconing.
The family will receive friends at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, Friday, Aug. 27, 1999, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. George Loar, officiating. Interment will be in Blocher Cemetery, National Pike, Frostburg.
JOSEPH E. ROBERTSON
CUMBERLAND - Joseph E. Robertson, 85, of Cumberland, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit.
Born April 24, 1914, in Midland, he was the son of the late George and Maude (Harding) Robertson. He was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Bud, Elmer, Howard, Melvin, William, Raymond, and Willis Robertson; three sisters, Clara Mae Conway, Elizabeth Coleman, and Drusilla Valentine.
Mr. Robertson was retired from the Celanese Corporation. He was a member of the Central Assembly of God Church, and former member of the church choir and church usher.
Surviving are his wife, Florence I. (Albright) Robertson; one daughter, Linda G. Fisher and husband, Roy J. Winston, Salem, N.C.; one sister, Maude Margaretta Dodd, Cumberland; two grandchildren, Lori Michelle DelVecchio and husband, David A., Karren A. Carciati and husband, Lugi, all of Winston-Salem; one great-granddaughter, Anastasia Marie DelVecchio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Central Assembly of God Church on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Pastor David Diehl and Robert Hymes, officiating. Friends will be received at the church on hour prior to services.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
MARY ELIZABETH ROBINETTE
LONACONING - Mary Elizabeth Robinette, 82, of 15507 Cool Mist Lane, S.W., Lonaconing, went to be with the Lord, June 7, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Nov. 29, 1916, in Lonaconing, she was a daughter of the late William Jefferson Green, who died in 1958, and Bessie B. (Green) Green, who died in 1969. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leo Edward Robinette; one daughter-in-law, Sally (Yantz) Robinette; a grandson, Billy Robinette; a great-granddaughter, Destiny Page Robinette; one brother, Albert "Buck" Green; and one sister, Florence Cesnick.
She was Protestant by faith, and was a former employee of the Celanese Fibers Corporation. Surviving are a son, William Leo Robinette and wife, Ruthie, Lonaconing; a daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" Warnick and husband, Robert "Gummy," Lonaconing; grandchildren, Rick Warnick, ReneeĠ Meese, Cindy Dahl, Robin Warnick, Jimmy Robinette, Gay Lynn Robinette; great-grandchildren, Ryan Warnick, Jennifer Warnick, Jessica Warnick, Stephen Dahl, Tiffany Dahl, Misty Dahl, Areial Dahl, Justin Warnick, Travis Warnick, Danielle Warnick, Kaitlyn Warnick, Jimmy Robinette, Billy Robinette, Joshua Robinette, Christopher Robinette, Nicalos Robinette and Tyler Mitchell; step-grandchildren, Megan Robinette and Melissa Bell; and step-great-grandchildren, James Jackson and Matthew Jackson. Also surviving are one brother, Leslie "Buzz" Green; and one sister, Leona "Pink" Gowans, who are twins, Lonaconing; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Loar officiating.
Interment will be in the Green Cemetery.
