ARTHUR E. RODEHEAVER
GRANTSVILLE - Arthur Eugene Rodeheaver, 77, of Grantsville, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at his home.
Born Nov. 25, 1921, in Garrett County, he was a son of the late Joshua A. Rodeheaver and Emily (Moon) Rodeheaver. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Alma Elizabeth Rodeheaver, in 1994.
Mr. Rodeheaver was a retired branch chief from the U.S. Government. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife Marian K. Rodeheaver; one son, Larry E. Rodeheaver, Stafford, Va.; one daughter, Faye D. Peacock, Rose Hill, Va.; one stepson, William E. Wright III, Baltimore; one stepdaughter, Mary W. Dodson, Baltimore; one sister-in-law, Mary Rodeheaver, Mountain Lake Park; one nephew, William Rodeheaver, and one great-nephew, Josh Rodeheaver, both of Oakland; six grandchildren who will serve as pallbearers, Justin Rodeheaver, Travis Rodeheaver, Angela Rodeheaver, Wesley Loucka, Christina Loucka and Craig Loucka.
Services will be conducted at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. David Martin and the Rev. Curtis Peacock officiating.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at graveside by local veterans organizations.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice of Garrett County.
WANETA C. "SCIP" RODEHEAVER
CUMBERLAND - Waneta C. "Scip" Rodeheaver, 52, of Eastern Avenue, Cumberland, died Jan. 13, 1999, in her residence.
Born July 24, 1946, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Norma Jean (Adams) Davis, Cumberland, and the late Harry William Davis.
Scip was Methodist by faith, and was a Licensed Practical Nurse for more than 25 years, having worked at Sacred Heart Hospital.
In addition to her mother she is survived by a son, Richard W. Rodeheaver and wife, Linda, Johnstown, Pa.; an uncle, Robert L. "Leroy" Adams, Salisbury; a special uncle, Ricky Adams, Cumberland; twin half-brother and sister, Johnny and Connie Davis; and several cousins.
At her request her body was cremated.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at 11 a.m. in Melvin United Methodist Church, Marion and Reynolds streets, Cumberland, with the Rev. Daniel Taylor officiating.
Private inurnment will be held in Sunset Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Scip to the choice of the donor.

DOUGLAS L. SCHENK
MCHENRY - Douglas L. Schenk, 57, of McHenry, died Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born April 26, 1942, in McHenry, he was a son of Leo Fredlock Schenk and Kathleen (Mosser) Schenk, both of Oakland. Mr. Schenk was a welder and boiler maker having worked out of Charleston Local 667. He was a member of the Garrett Bassers Association and the Mountain Top Hunting Club.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Kathryn (Campbell) Schenk; and two brothers, Larry F. Schenk, Oakland, and Milton E. "Sam" Schenk, New Hampshire.
Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Samuel Wachter officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Southern Garrett Rescue Squad.
WILMER H. SWEITZER
SWANTON - Wilmer H. Sweitzer, 76, of Bittinger Road, Swanton, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at his home.
Born on Oct. 13, 1923, in Swanton, he was the son of the late Noah L. and Lizzie E. (Tasker) Sweitzer. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Susie E. (Wilt) (Sweitzer) Bucklew; and three brothers, Olin L. Sweitzer, Eugene W. Sweitzer and Junior L. Sweitzer.
Mr. Sweitzer retired with 43« years' service with the B&O; Railroad, and was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the V.F.W., McCoole. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Frances L. (Gilpin) Sweitzer; two daughters, Sandra L. Bennett and husband, Irvin 'Sonner,' Barton, and Donna E. Liller and husband, Gene, Oakland; one brother, Donald D. Sweitzer, Girard, Ohio; four grandchildren, Bob Liller, Oakland, Jim Liller, Grantsville, Kim Bennett, Barton, and Gary Bennett, Cumberland; one great-granddaughter, Sydney Jo Bennett, Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 29, 1999, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Meredith Ball officiating.
Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of the various veterans organizations in southern Garrett County.

ARVADA E. WINEBRENNER
MOUNT SAVAGE - Arvada E. Winebrenner, 62, of Iron Rail Street, N.W., Mount Savage, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.
Born April 29, 1937, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late William "Darb" Winebrenner and Elnora Winebrenner. She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Eric Paul Biggs.
Mrs. Winebrenner was a former employee at Arby's Restaurant and formerly worked at Uncle Lou's Tastee Freeze for 20 years.
Mrs. Winebrenner was a member of the Mount Savage United Methodist Church. She was an avid Republican and served on the Republican Central Committee.
Surviving are one daughter, Charlotte Jean Biggs, Piedmont, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Hannah Marie Biggs; four brothers, Bernard Winebrenner, Mount Savage, David Winebrenner, Eckhart, Roger Winebrenner, LaVale, and Clarence Winebrenner, Sykesville; four sisters, Kathleen Gomer, Frostburg, Wanda Whitehead, Midlothian, Mary Margaret "Peggy" Ryan, Ridgeley, W.Va., and Patricia Winebrenner, Hagerstown; and two special friends, Beverly Nicely and Jamie Doonis.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard C. Broome Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in the Methodist Cemetery, Mount Savage.

GEORGE RODENHAUSER
CUMBERLAND - George H. Rodenhauser, 72, of Smouse Mill Road, N.E., Cumberland, died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at his home.
Born June 14, 1926, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late George and Blanche (Sigler) Rodenhauser. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Wilbur Rodenhauser.
Mr. Rodenhauser was a retired Master Sergeant for the U.S. Army. He served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He attended Kingsley United Methodist Church and was a member of the Allegany County Beagle Club.
Surviving are his wife, Anna B. Rosenhauser; three daughters, Linda Stephens, Philadelphia, Pa., Georgia Gale Thinnes and husband, Steve, Utah, and Kathy Joy Spalding and husband, Harry, Lake Waccomaw, N.C.; one son, George H. Rodenhauser Jr., Cumberland; one stepdaughter, Suzanne Cahill and husband, Dennis, Maple Shade, N.J.; one stepson, David Curley, Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Betty Broadwater, Cumberland, and Gretchen Lewis, Baltimore Pike, Cumberland; 10 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard H. Jewell officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap. Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
