RICHARD J. BUGAJ
Richard J. Bugaj, Garfield Heights, Ohio, formerly of Oakland, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in Ohio.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a former manager of the Oakland Country Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannie (Shaffer) Bugaj; four children, Martha, Rebecca, and John, and Margaret Fisher, all of Ohio; two stepsons, Jerry Friend and Edward Friend, both of Ohio; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Gene Kaminski and Jeannette Lange.
Friends were received at the Vodrazka Funeral Home, Independence, Ohio, where a service was conducted Monday, June 5. A service was also conducted at St. Michael's Church. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
BOBBY W. SMITH SR.
Bobby W. Smith Sr., 66, Oakland, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at his home.
Born Aug. 14, 1933, in Oakland, he was a son of N. Gladine (Hartman) Smith, Oakland, and the late Ray O. Smith.
He attended the Lakeside Assembly of God Church, and was a carpenter for the William Schnatterly Co., Cumberland.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Betty Jo (Gank) Smith; seven sons, Lane Smith, Steven Smith, and Morris Smith, all of Deer Park, William Smith, Duncanville, Ala., Thomas Smith, Loch Lynn, Bobby W. Smith Jr., Friendsville, and Darrin Smith, Oakland; two sisters, Geraldine H. Boucher, Sun Prairie, Wisc., and Bernadine D. Tasker, Deer Park; one brother, Denzil D. Smith, Deer Park; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. A service will be conducted at the Lakeside Assembly of God Church on Friday, June 16, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Robert Culler officiating. Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
DENNIS C. HAMILTON
Dennis C. Hamilton, 56, Midland, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born June 18, 1943, in Midland, he was the son of the late Herman Hamilton and Renna Jane (Grey) Hyde.
He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Midland. He was a former councilman of the town of Midland; a member of the Midland Volunteer Fire Company; a charter member of Georges Creek Ambulance Service, Lonaconing; a past president of the Allegany and Garrett County Volunteer Firemen's Association; and a past president of A. Mike Walters Fellowship of Christian Fire Fighters Chapter.
He was a former employee of Eichorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, and was a former bartender at the Midland Volunteer Fire Company.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Beverly (Clark) Hamilton; and three step-children, Lisa muir, Scott Lease, and Roy Lease.
At the deceased's request, his body was cremated. A memorial service was conducted at the Grace United Methodist Church on Monday, June 12, with the Rev. Neva Leatherwood officiating.
The Midland Volunteer Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary conducted a commemorative service Monday morning.
Inurnment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
The family requests memorials take the form of contributions to the Midland Fire Company or Grace United Methodist Church.

MARY C. MILLER
Mary Catherine Miller, 69, Barton, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Sept. 5, 1930, in Reynolds, she was a daughter of the late Edward and M. Della (O'Neil) Miller.
She was a retired school teacher for the Allegany County Board of Education, with 27 years of service. She taught in Frostburg, Westernport, and Barton. She was an active member of the Barton Presbyterian Church, where she was pianist, the Sunday School secretary, treasurer of the Ladies Guild, choir member for 50 years, a member of the Presby Circle, and a former Clerk of Session.
She was a 1949 graduate of Barton High School. She was the chaplain for the Barton Hose Co. Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Barton American Legion Post 189, a member of the Retired Teachers Association, and a member of the Barton Senior Citizens.
Survivors include five brothers, Raymond Miller, Paul Miller, and David Miller, all of Barton, Calvin Miller, Frostburg, and Jim Miller, Cumberland; and one sister, Shirley Bosley, Bloomington.
At the deceased's request, her body was donated to science.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Barton Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 17, at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Peter Leathersich officiating.
The Boal Funeral Home, Barton, is in charge of arrangements.
MARY H. BUELL
Mary Hall Buell, 73, Alpine Lake, W.Va., died Monday, June 12, 2000, at her home.
Born June 24, 1926, in Portsmouth, England, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen (Ramjancevs) Hall.
She was a United States citizen for 54 years, 44 of which were spent in Baltimore, and had spent the last 10 years living at Alpine Lake. She was church secretary for St. David's Episcopal Church in Baltimore.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Joseph F. Buell; one son, Joseph D. Buell, Baltimore; two daughtes, Martha Latta, San Marcos, Texas, and Sarah Bivens, Baltimore; one sister, Elizabeth Lawrence, Alresford, England; and two grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation. A burial service will be conducted Monday, June 19, in the chapel of St. David's Episcopal Church, with Father David Crosley officiating.
The family suggests memorials take the form of contributions to Hospice Care Corp., P.O. Box 229, Kingwood, WV 26537, or a charity of the donor's choice.
The Browning Funeral Home, Kingwood, is in charge of local arrangements.
DARVIN C. MOATS
Darvin C. Moats, 66, Aurora, W.Va., died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at Preston Memorial Hospital, Kingwood, W.Va.
Born June 2, 1933, in Stemple Ridge, W.Va., he was a son of the late Cyrus W. and Edna M. (Simmons) Moats.
He was a retired steel mill worker.
Survivors include his wife, Alberta M. (Browning) Moats; one sister, Millie Ann Moats, Aurora; and eight brothers, Lawrence H. Moats, William R. Moats, Milford Moats, Harry Moats, Vernon Moats, Parker Moats, Fred Moats, and Keith Moats, all of Aurora.
An interment service will be conducted at the Aurora Cemetery on Friday, June 16, at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Gail Hixon officiating. Interment will follow.

BARBARA HERSHBERGER
Barbara (Beachy) Hershberger, 83, Meyersdale, Pa., died Monday, June 12, 2000, at her home.
Born Dec. 26, 1916, near Norfolk, Va., she was the daughter of the late Norman D. and Elizabeth (Spenler) Beachy. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Savilla Dorcas Hershberger, in infancy.
She was a member of the Mountain View Church. She was a homemaker, and a secretary for 26 years at Calvary Bible School, Calico Rock, Ark.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ervin N. Hershberger; one daughter, Mildred Elizabeth Yoder, Meyersdale; and three grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. A service was conducted at the Mountain View Church, near Salisbury, Pa., on Wednesday, June 14, with Pastor Jerry Yoder officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
The family suggests memorials take the form of contributions to a reliable Bible society for the distribution of Bibles in China or India.
DANA E. LOCKARD
Dana Ellen Lockard, 95, Ridgeley, W.Va., died Saturday, June 10, 2000, at the Cumberland Villa Nursing Center, where she had been a resident for more than two years.
Born Sept. 21, 1904, in Swanton, she was a daughter of the late Charles Thorton and Emma Frances (Walters) Rhodes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Christopher Lockard; two sons, Charles J. Lockard and Ronald P. Lockard; one daughter, Eloise Shepherd; three brothers; four sisters; and one grandson.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross United Methodist Church and the Ridgeley Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include two daughters Marion Barnes, Cumberland, and Johann Andrews, Ridgeley; one son, Chris Lockard, Cumberland; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Cumberland, where a service was conducted Monday, June 12, with the Rev. Harry L. Burchell Jr. officiating. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Park.

RUTH G. MCCLINTOCK
Ruth G. "Margie" McClintock, 86, Oakland, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born April 1, 1914, in Friendsville, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Rachel E. (Hoff) Frantz.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Oakland. She worked as a secretary for nine years at Ray Teets Insurance Agency.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Merle J. McClintock, and two sisters, Gladys Thompson and Evelyn Kell, both of Akron, Ohio.
Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, where a service was conducted earlier today, June 15, with the Revs. Roger and Ann Harrison officiating. Interment followed in the Blooming Rose Cemetery, Friendsville.
