REV. ROY J. RIFFLE
FRIENDSVILLE - The Rev. Roy James Riffle, 78, of 838 Old Morgantown Road, West, Friendsville, died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born Sept. 25, 1920, in Kemper, W.Va., he was a son of the late Joseph Elias Riffle and Rettie Dorcas (Wilson) Riffle. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Reba (Echard) Riffle, July 1, 1994; a sister, Eva Jane; and two brothers, William Austin Riffle and Edward Riffle.
A U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, he served as a ship's cook second class from August 1942 to December 1945. He had been employed as a meat cutter at Pritchard's Grocery Store, Harrisville, W.Va., and at Brownings Foodland, Oakland.
Rev. Riffle became a minister with the United Pentecostal Church, International in 1955 and served the Rosedale United Pentecostal Church (now Apostolic) of Oakland from September 1960 to 1971, and Friendsville United Pentecostal Church from 1971 until his retirement in August 1994.
He is survived by two daughters, Pamela R. Corley, Morgantown, W.Va., Sharol R. Coddington, Friendsville; two grandsons, Gary LeJames Coddington and Anthony Ty Coddington, both of Friendsville; a sister, Clara Belle Liebrand, Washington, W.Va.; three brothers, Charles Riffle, Parkersburg, W.Va., Eugene Riffle, Harrisville, W.Va., and Ronnie Riffle, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Friendsville, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Friendsville United Pentecostal Church on Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ronald Libby and the Rev. A.G. Lilley, Lena, Miss. (formerly of Oakland, Md.) officiating.
Interment will be in Blooming Rose Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Military graveside rites will be accorded by area veterans service organizations.
HARRY R. RIGGLEMAN
KITZMILLER - Harry R. Riggleman, 90, of Kitzmiller, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, in the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born Sept. 8, 1909, in Chaffee, W.Va., he was the son of the late Richard and Daisy (Rohrbaugh) Riggleman. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Anna (Lipscomb) Riggleman and one son, Harold O. Riggleman.
Mr. Riggleman was a retired coal miner.
Surviving are one son, William G. Riggleman, Kitzmiller; one sister, Sue Ellen Tasker, Terra Alta, W.Va., eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hi-Way Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Gail Hixon officiating.
Interment will be in the Turner cemetery in Walnut Bottom.
GLORIA J. WILT
MCCOOLE - Gloria June Wilt, 70, of 25103 Walkers Flat Road, McCoole, died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at her residence.
Born on June 4, 1929, in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Olive (Green) Fazenbaker. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman W. Wilt, in 1997.
Mrs. Wilt was a homemaker and a member of the McCoole Presbyterian Church.
Surviving her are three sons, John Wilt of McCoole, James Wilt of Piedmont, W.Va., and Sherman D. Wilt of McCoole; one daughter, Carol Ann Harvey of West Newton, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jack Sanders officiating. Interment will be in the North Glade Cemetery, Swanton.
BARBARA J. STILLWAGON
CUMBERLAND - Barbara Jean Stillwagon, 52, of Cumberland, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 10, 1946, in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of Tracella O. Lancaster, Keyser, and the late Robert R. Lancaster.
In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Donald A. Stillwagon; three daughters, Lisa Myers and Derek Price, Keyser, Shana Stillwagon and Todd Williams, Sneads Ferry, N.C., Lauren Stillwagon, at home; one son, Eric Miller and Kim, Fountain, W.Va.; one sister, Terry Irwin and Dale, Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Amanda, Seth, Isaac and Drew.
A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Hospital Chapel with Pastor Matthew Riegel officiating.

YETEIVE C. RILEY
LAVALE - Yeteive Catherine Riley, 86, formerly of LaVale, died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 11, 1912, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Armond and Hazel (Dickerhoff) Wilkinson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Riley Sr.; one son, Joseph John Riley Jr.; and one sister, Marguerite Blake Parrott.
Survivors include four children, Charlotte Louise Myers, LaVale, Bonnie Lee Bridges, Hopkinsville, Ky., Gary Michael Riley and Craig Armond Riley, both of LaVale; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Genevieve Hopwood and Niletta King, both of Cumberland; and one sister-in-law, Louise Riley, Arizona.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Hillcrest Burial Park.
LOIS M. ZOLLNER
CUMBERLAND - Lois M. Zollner, 73, of Cumberland, died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at her residence.
Born March 21, 1926, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Eva N. (Zerhbach) Hager. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Delbert Hager.
Mrs. Zollner was a registered nurse, retiring from the Allegany County Health Department. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where she had been a former member of the choir. Mrs. Zollner was a member of McKinley Chapter No. 12 Order of the Eastern Star, The Cedarettes, and the Western Maryland Nursing Alumni Association.
She is survived by her husband, Stanford W. "Stan" Zollner; one son, S. Christopher Zollner and wife Erna, Ridgeley, W.Va.; one daughter, Michelle Zollner Bartholomew and husband James, Oakland; one brother, James R. Hager, Cumberland; two sisters, Rose Marie Layman and Edna A. Fisher, both of Cumberland; and three grandchildren, Shane Zollner, Leslie Lucas and Michael Bartholomew.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
McKinley Chapter No. 12 O.E.S. will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Saturday at 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be held in St. John's Lutheran Church on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Dill officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Ali Ghan Motor Corps. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be employees of Stan's Auto Body.

PAUL F. STAKEM
TAMPA, Fla. - Paul F. Stakem, age 69, formerly of 7907 Woodglen Circle, Tampa, died Thursday, April 29, 1999, at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital Hospice Unit, Tampa.
Born May 5, 1929, in Midland, Md., he was the youngest child of the late James B. and Teresa (Sharpe) Stakem. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Helen (Nellie Stakem) Milford; and five brothers, Jerome, Clement, Lawrence, Peter and Joseph.
Mr. Stakem attended Beall High School, Frostburg, Md., and received his B.A. degree from St. Leo's College, Spring Hill, Fla. SMSG Stakem retired in 1974 following 26 years of service with the United States Air Force. He was a Vietnam Veteran and the recipient of two Air Force Commendation Medals. He was then employed in the Civil Engineering Department of the City of Tampa from which he retired in 1990.
Surviving are his wife Charlotte B. (Carey) Stakem, whom he married
on June 20, 1953, in London, England, her birthplace; one son, Mark C. Stakem and wife, Marguerita, London; one daughter, Anita E. DeSusa and husband, Nuno, Santa Clara, Calif; two sisters, Teresa Rhodes, Hornlake, Miss., and Rose Marie Stansbury and husband, Emerson, Rawlings, Md.; two brothers, Thomas C. Stakem, Midland, and James B. Stakem, Silver Spring, Md.; numerous nieces and nephews including local residents Patricia Stewart and James 'Beef' Stakem, Midland, Mary Jane Stakem, Cumberland, Noreen Smith, Piedmont, W.Va., and Betty Dawson, Lonaconing.
At Mr. Stakem's request he was cremated. Services will be conducted on Friday, May 7, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation, Tampa. His cremains will be interred in the Florida National Military Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla., with military honors.
