SONIA D. MILLER
Sonia Darlene Miller, 63, Winchester, Va., died Monday, May 30, 2000, at her home.
Born Dec. 4, 1936, in Mount Storm, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Delphie (Weese) Manks.
She was a computer programmer for ARB in Beltsville, retiring after 20 years of service. She was a member of the United Brethren Church, Bismark, W.Va.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney Leroy Miller, whom she married April 15, 1955, in Oakland; two sons, Rodney Lynn Miller, and Thomas Charles Miller, both of Winchester; and one sister, Lorell Noralene Brown, Keyser, W.Va.
Friends were received at the Omps Funeral Home, Winchester, where a service was conducted earlier today, June 1, with the Rev. William Erbach officiating. Interment was in the Gravel Springs Cemetery, Star Tannery, Va.

VIRGINIA HARDESTY
Virginia (Weeks) Hardesty, 86, Leesburg, Va., formerly of Mtn. Lake Park, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, in Leesburg.
Born July 16, 1913, in Thornton, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Hubert Melvin and Edith G. (Bailey) Weeks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. "Dick" Hardesty, in 1983.
She taught school in Mtn. Lake Park and later taught at Brunswick High School. She was the chair of the business department at that school for 30 years. She and her family moved to Lovettsville, Va., in 1952. She was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Lovettsville.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheryn Hardesty, Leesburg, and Charlene Lenchner, Commerce, Texas; one sister, Mary May Liston, Cresaptown; one brother, L.H. Weeks, Greensburg, Pa.; and one granddaughter.
Friends were received at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, Leesburg, where a service was conducted Wednesday, May 31, with the Rev. Ray Michner officiating. Interment was in Union Cemetery, Lovettsville.

DONALD G. HERSHBERGER
Donald G. Hershberger, 62, Springs, Pa., died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at his home.
Born March 6, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, Pa., he was the son of George A. and Evelyn (Spaugy) Hershberger, Bull Skin Township, Fayette Co., Pa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Ann (Lewis) Hershberger.
He was a member of Springs Mennonite Church. He was the owner and operator of Yoder-Hershberger Insurance Agency, Grantsville, and was a certified insurance counselor. He received his B.S. degree in mathematics and physics from Otterbein College, Columbus, Ohio, and his M.B.A. in business from the University of Detroit.
He was a member of the Chorus of the Potomac, Barbershop Chorus, and former member of Salisbury Lions Club.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Andy Hershberger, Springs; his fiancée, Christy Slaven, LaVale; one brother, Kenneth L. Hershberger, Johnstown, Pa.; and one sister, Becky Hershberger, Bull Skin Twp.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville.
A service was held on Saturday, Feb. 26, at Springs Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating.
Private interment took place in Springs Cemetery.

NAOMI R. YODER
Naomi Ruth Bender Yoder, 80, Meyersdale, Pa., died of complications from cancer on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2004, at her home.
Born Sept. 10, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Floyd C. and Anna Maust Bender. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ervin Yoder, whom she married Nov. 27, 1946; an infant daughter, Joan Ardith, who was a twin; three sisters, Mary Byler, Lois Mullett, and Dorcas Bender; and one brother, James Bender.
She was a member of the Oak Dale Mennonite Church.
Surviving are seven children, John Aldus Yoder, Meyersdale, Ruth Naomi Wenger, New York City, Joyce Elizabeth Sauder, Meyersdale, Wendell Paul Yoder, Meyersdale, Delbert Lynn Yoder, Davidsville, Pa., Darrel Keith Yoder, Elkhart, Ind., and Douglas Eugene Yoder, Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Sarah Miller, Lancaster, Pa.; two brothers, Philip Bender, Grantsville, and Paul Bender, Grantsville; 15 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale.
A service was held on Sunday, Feb. 27, at Oak Dale Mennonite Church, Salisbury, with Pastor Joe Byler officiating.

CHARLES B. McCRUM
Charles B. "Mac" McCrum, 79, Sebring, Fla., formerly of Aurora, W.Va., and Mtn. Lake Park, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at the Highlands Regional Medical Cemetery, Sebring. He was a wonderful and loving husband and devoted father.
Born Sept. 10, 1925, in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of the late Harold B. and Hilda V. (Alberts) Mc-Crum. He was also preceded in death by one son, Harold M. McCrum; one daughter, Catherine M. McCrum; and four grandsons, Charles B. McCrum III, Nathan B. McCrum, Page R. McCrum II, and John M. Boone.
He was a graduate of the Aurora High School, class of 1942. He joined the U.S. Army, and served 5½ years in Germany and France during World War II. He survived the Battle of the Bulge and received the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. After the war, he studied at West Virginia University, Morgantown, W.Va. He then traveled the East Coast working on gas pipelines until 1954 when he went to work for the Eagle Pencil Company and retired in 1976 as the plant supervisor.
He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, where he held the position of sergeant at arms, treasurer, and secretary. He was a member of Proctor Kildow Post #71, American Legion, Oakland, and the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Avon Park, Fla., and was a former member of the Walnut Bottom Assembly of God Church, Swanton.
He is survived of his wife of 51 years, Arveta M. (Michaels) McCrum; two daughters, Brenda S. Lewis and fiancé Kevin Hughes, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Victoria V. Tasker, Haver Hill, N.H.; two sons, Charles B. McCrum Jr. and wife Robin, Philippi, W.Va., and Page R. McCrum and wife Julia, Mtn. Lake Park; one brother, Page N. McCrum, Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, where a service was held on Sunday, Feb. 27, with Pastor Wally Weeks officiating.
Interment was in the Aurora Cemetery, Aurora.
Military honors were accorded at the cemetery by members of the various veterans' organizations in southern Garrett County.

RUBY G. CASTEEL
Ruby Grace Casteel, 69, Friendsville, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born April 19, 1935, in Red House, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Myrtle (Bowman) Rumer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Casteel, May 16, 2001.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Steven W. Casteel, Akron, Ohio; two daughters, Margaret E. (Casteel) Clark, Garrettsville, Ohio, and Debra S. Groves, Morgantown, W.Va.; three brothers, Lawrence Rumer, Bucyrus, Ohio, Robert Rumer, Terra Alta, W.Va., and Richard Rumer, Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Eloine Metheny, Bruceton Mills, W.Va., and Virginia Wilhelm, Terra Alta; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, where a service was held on Sunday, Feb. 27, with the Rev. Donald Matthews officiating.
Interment was in Blooming Rose Cemetery.
RALPH G. FRAZEE
Ralph George Frazee, 71, Friendsville, died Feb. 25, 2005, at his home.
Born July 25, 1933, in Selbysport, he was a son of the late Nathaniel and Dosha (Wakefield) Frazee. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Virginia Faucett and Mildred Mae Steyer; and two brothers, Earl Judson and Floyd William Frazee.
Mr. Frazee was retired from the Potomac Edison Electric Co. after 34 years of service. He enjoyed farming and his grandchildren.
Surviving are his four children, Guy Edward Frazee, Lonaconing, David Wayne Frazee, Cumberland, Rebecca Ray Wagner and husband Richard, Friendsville, and Susan Joy Reams and husband Clark, Oakland; eight grandchildren, Aaron Guy and Allen Guy Frazee, Brent David and Kari Rae Frazee, Benjamin Allen and Beth Ann Wagner and Brian Clark and Rachel Renee Reams; three brothers, Paul Nathaniel Frazee and Robert Ray Frazee, both of Friendsville, and Lawrence Benny Frazee, Frostburg; and one sister, Thelma Ruth Emory, Bittinger.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where a service was held on Monday, Feb. 28, with the Rev. Michael Robinson officiating.
Interment was in Blooming Rose Cemetery, Friendsville.

ROSETTA K. FRAZEE
Rosetta Kathryn (Savage) Frazee, 81, Markleysburg, Pa., died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at her home.
Born Sept. 29, 1923, in Markleysburg, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Savage and Sadie Elvina (Thomas) Savage. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Savage; and one sister, Wava Savage.
She was a member of Union Chapel Church.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Blaine J. Frazee; one son, Larry B. Frazee, Markleysburg; and three sisters, Marie Wilhelm, West Leisenring, Pa., Betty Clemens, Ashton, Pa., and Helen Moore, West Chester, Pa.
Friends were received in the Crawford Funeral Home, Farmington, Pa., where a service was held on Monday, Feb. 28, with the Rev. Chester Cover and Rev. Wendell Cover officiating.
Interment was in the Thomas Cemetery, Markleysburg.
BARBARA L. DETRICK
Barbara Lucille Detrick, 86, Springs, Pa., died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.
Born Sept. 9, 1918, in Elk Lick Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Simon and Elizabeth (Otto) Maust. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harley Olen Detrick, Feb. 8, 2000.
She was a homemaker and member of Springs Mennonite Church.
She is survived by two sons, Roger E. Detrick, Lexington Park, and Kenneth J. Detrick, Springs; two daughters, Barbara L. Brown, Castlebury, Fla., and Harriet E. Berg, Hidden Valley, Pa.; six grandchildren; and four great-grand-children.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Saturday, March 5, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be held on Sunday, March 6, at Springs Mennonite Church. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment was in Springs Cemetery.
