THE REV. WILLIAM R. SANSOM
CUMBERLAND - The Rev. William Raymond Sansom, 85, of Cunningham Dr., Cumberland, died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, in Saint Agnes Hospital, Baltimore.
Born Jan. 1, 1914, in Mt. Savage, he was the son of the late Dewey and Stella (Holsinger) Sansom. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Ruby Sansom, on Sept. 21, 1999; a son, William R. Sansom, Jr.; and two brothers, Percy and John Sansom.
The Rev. Sansom attended Cresaptown United Methodist Church and was former member of Zion United Methodist Church, Bedford Road, a U.S. Navy veteran he served during World War II, he was retired as a minister, and a lab technician from the Celanese Corp.
Survivors include his daughters, Constance Costa, of Smithfield, RI, Bonnie Faith, of Catonsville, Donna Coblentz, of Calif., Rhonda Sansom, of Catonsville, and Nancy Reynolds, of Silver Spring; a sister, Elizabeth Toothman, of Lakeland, Fla.; a half-sister, Mable Barnes, of Midlothian; two half-brothers, George Dewey Sansom, of Romney, W.Va., and Robert Sansom, of Romney; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Friends will be received in the Cresaptown United Methodist Church on Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Services will be conducted in the Cresaptown United Methodist Church on Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold R. McClay, Jr., will officiate.
Interment will follow in Zion Memorial Park, Bedford Road, Cumberland. Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery by the combined veterans honor guard.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of the Rev. Sansom to the Cresaptown United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Hwy., LaVale.
LOUISE R. SANSOM
CUMBERLAND - Louise Ruby Sansom, 79, of Cunningham Dr., Cumberland, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at her residence.
Born April 30, 1920, in Elkins, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Odessa (Phillips) Sachs. She was also preceded in death by one son, William R. Sansom, Jr.; two sisters, Helen Scaletta and Ethel Montgomery; and a brother, Paul Sachs.
Mrs. Sansom attended Cresaptown United Methodist Church and was a former member of Zion United Methodist Church, Bedford Road.
Surviving are her husband, the Rev. William R. Sansom; daughters, Constance Costa, Smithfield, R.I., Bonnie Faith, Catonsville, Donna Coblentz, California, Md., Rhonda Sansom, Cumberland, Nancy Reynolds, Silver Spring; her twin sister, Lucille Whisker, Cumberland; a brother, Carl Sachs, Cumberland; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

LEONARD J. WILSON
LONACONING - Leonard Jefferson Wilson, 80, of 16002 Upper Rockville St., Lonaconing, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at the Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing.
Born Sept. 11, 1918, in Ocean, he was a son of the late Leonard David Wilson and Margaret L. (Beeman) Wilson. He also was preceded in death by one son, Roger Lee Wilson, in 1985.
Mr. Wilson was a retired construction worker and a member of Local 616 Labor Union. He also was a member of the Musicians Union, Cumberland, and played in several local country bands. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and attended the Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Naomi N. (Blubaugh) Wilson; two sons, Leonard J. Wilson and wife Joan, Lonaconing, and David J. Wilson and wife Johna, Lonaconing; two brothers, Melvin Wilson, Franklin, and Alexander Wilson, Lonaconing; one sister, Mary Atkinson, Vale Summit; six grandchildren, Linda J. Palmer, Roger Lee Wilson, Kelly Hobel, Leonard J. Wilson, Jeff Wilson and Adam Wilson; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Loar officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.
KATHLEEN M. SANDVICK
ECKHART - Kathleen M. Sandvick, 83, of Eckhart, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 5, 1916, in Slanesville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Tillman Lee and Edith B. (Nelson) Haines. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jacob V. Sandvick; one daughter, Donna Twigg; one son, Stephen Dixon; one brother, Erson Haines; two sisters, Helen Haines and Marie Haines.
Mrs. Sandvick was a member of Eckhart Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, David Sandvick and wife, Candy, Frostburg; two daughters, Helen Lancaster and husband Ralph, Follansbee, W.Va., and Vickie Housel and husband Larry, Frostburg; eight grandchildren, Sherri Woldor, Rebecca Housel, Karen Lancaster, Tim Lancaster, Debi Vukelic, Christopher Twigg, Katie Sandvick, and Kimberly Sandvick; six great-grandchildren, Amber Twigg, Susan Twigg, Ronnie Perkins, Shaunna Perkins, Luke Lancaster, and Timmy Lancaster; one brother, Harold Haines and wife Betty, Humble, Texas; and one sister, Wanda Klosterman, Pittsburgh.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. David G. Hattenfield and the Rev. David W. Sandvick, officiating.
Interment will be in Eckhart Cemetery.

JACQUELINE L. WILT
GRANTSVILLE - Jacqueline Leona Wilt, 51, of 1098 Twin Churches Road, Grantsville, died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Oct. 21, 1947, at M eyersdale, Pa., she is the daughter of Vera E. (Durst ) Merrill and the late Bernard M. Merrill. Mrs. Wilt was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Oakey Wilt, Sept. 23, 1997.
She was a school bus driver for the Garrett County Board of Education. Mrs. Wilt was a member of the Boynton Church of God and the Grantsville FiremanŐs Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving besides her mother are four sons, Garland Oakey Wilt Jr., Ivan J. Wilt, Christopher Joel Wilt, all of Grantsville, Bernard Matthew Wilt, Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Vivian Elaine Warnick, Dallas; two sisters, Cleo Hetrick, Barberton, Ohio, Dailey Kaiser, Tullahoma, Tenn.; and one granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Warnick.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Robert Furr officiating.
Interment will be in the Trinity Cemetery.

WILLIAM J. MILLER
FOSTORIA, Ohio - William J. Miller, age 91, of 7495 N. Township Road 63, Fostoria, formerly of Mount Savage, Md., died Thursday, June 10, 1999, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
He ws born June 24, 1907, in Mount Savage, a son of the late Charles B. and Blanche (Lehman) Miller. He was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph, at birth; two sisters, Gerry Seever, Alice Comer; and two brothers, Thomas and Bernard Miller.
On June 14, 1934, he married
Verlee Rossman, who died Oct. 20, 1935. He then married
Mae V. Conway on July 5, 1937, who died Jan. 18, 1994.
Mr. Miller retired in 1970 from Union Carbide, Fostoria, after 44 years of service.
He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, Knights of Columbus Council #1197, Fostoria, and AARP.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Buss (Mary Kathryn) Groves, Tiffin, and Mrs. Gerry (Bonnie) Omlor, Fostoria; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Christian Wake service will be held at the funeral home Sunday at 8:30 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, Monday at 12:30 p.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in the St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Seneca County Cancer Society or to St. Wendelin Catholic Church.
