ETHEL M. BEAN
Ethel Marie Bean, 90, Keyser (Cross), W.Va., died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home.
Born July 10, 1915, in New Creek, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Isaac Newton and Phoebe Ellen (Snyder) Ashby. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. 'Pete' Bean, on Jan. 24, 1981; five brothers, Malcolm, Henry, Charles, William, and Chester Bean; and three sisters, Minnie Shook, Mabel Broadwater, and Jessie Doman.
She was a member of the Cross United Methodist Church and was active in the Elk Garden PTA and Band Boosters Association.
Surviving are seven sons, Lloyd 'Eddie' Bean and Thomas Bean, both of Key-ser, Chester 'Bob' Bean, Cross, William 'Bill' Bean, Gormania, W.Va., Larry 'Jake' Bean, Swanton, Donald Keith Bean, Deer Park, and David Bean, Cross; five daughters, Ellen 'Sis' Lyons, Cross, Margaret Butler, Yellville, Ark., Eva Tasker, Cross, Linda Radcliffe, Burlington, W.Va., and Gail Haines, Keyser, W.Va.; 26 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Friends were received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, where a service was held today, Thursday, Oct. 20, with Pastor Jack Tichinel and the Rev. Ann Harrison officiating.
Interment was in the Bean Family Cemetery, Cross.

ALETA MURPHY
Aleta (Rush) Murphy, 91, Bel Air, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at her home.
Born Feb. 1, 1914, in Friendsville, she was a daughter of the late Asa and Iva (Friend) Rush. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kay Jankowiak; one sister, Jean Rush Greynolds; and one brother, former mayor Karol O. Rush.
Mrs. Murphy was a pianist and proud member of Friendsville United Methodist Church. Her ancestors founded the town of Friendsville.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ralph A. Murphy; one grandson, Eric Jankowiak, Bel Air; and a son-in-law, Frank Jankowiak, Bel Air.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, on Friday, Oct. 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. at Friendsville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Brian Schofield officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in Blooming Rose Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Friendsville United Methodist Church.
WAYNE M. TABOR SR.
Wayne Morgan 'Sonny' Tabor Sr., 59, Friendsville, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Sept. 14, 1946, in Bluefield, W.Va., he was a son of the late James E. and Hilda E. (Woods) Tabor.
Mr. Tabor was a self-employed business owner. He was a graduate of Northern High School and was a member of Rush Baptist Church. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane (Rhodes) Tabor; three sons, Wayne M. Tabor Jr., and wife Karen, Prince Frederick, Edward A. Tabor, Harper’s Ferry, W.Va., and Robert W. Tabor, Friendsville; two brothers, Charles Tabor, Gettysburg, Pa., and James Tabor, Ohio; one sister, June Travis, Florida; and two grandchildren, Jena and Morgan Tabor.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, today, Thursday, Oct. 20, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Robinson officiating.
Interment will be in Grantsville Cemetery.
Military graveside rites will be accorded by Grantsville Post 214, American Legion.
EDWARD E. MORGAN SR.
Edward Ellis Morgan Sr., 84, Elizabethtown, Ky., died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown.
A native of Esco, Ky., he was a member of Heaven Bound Baptist Church and Camp Knox Masonic Lodge No. 919. He worked at Fort Knox civil service for 10 years, and was a retired Army sergeant for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Stidham Morgan; two sons, Charles Morgan, Radcliff, Ky., and Edward Morgan, North Carolina; two daughters, Joanne Vanzant, Elizabethtown, and Sara Lou Edwards of North Carolina; three stepsons, Delatha Brenneman, Elizabethtown, Charles Brenneman, Accident, and George Morton, Radcliff; one stepdaughter, Charlotte Resh, Montana; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Brown Funeral Home, where a service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, with Brother Gary Sharp officiating.
Interment was in the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
VIRGINIA G. KILLEN
Virginia G. (Paulie)Killen, 91, a resident of the Allegany County Nursing Home, and formerly of Oakland, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005.
Born in Waynesburg, Pa., and reared in Oakland, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Jessie Paulie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, A. Richard Killen; one daughter, Virginia (Ginny) Killen Chenowith; and two sisters, Maxine Jamison and Elizabeth McCartney.
She graduated from Frostburg State Teachers College in the 1930s. She participated in many civic activities in the Cumberland areas, including the Garden Club and Fiber Artisans. She was a teacher in Garrett and Allegany counties, as well as West Virginia. She also taught mentally and physically challenged students at Friends Aware for several years.
Surviving are two children, Richard K. Killen and Nancy Killen Murphy; one sister, Billie Stevenson of Virginia; and seven grandchildren.
There is no memorial service planned at this time. At her request, her body was donated to the West Virginia University.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in her name to Friends Aware in Cumberland.
OLEITA D. DANIELS
Oleita D. Daniels, 92, Fort Hill, Pa., died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare, Meyersdale, Pa.
Born June 1, 1913, in Addison Township, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Clarence Edward and Edith Susan (Smith) Durst. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Daniels, May 20, 1978; and one infant sister, Fern Smith.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Frostburg Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are two brothers, Mark T. Durst, Kearneysville, W.Va., and Eugene F. Durst, Fort Hill; and one sister, Evelyn R. "Katie" Hetrick, Owings.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where a service was held on Sunday, Dec. 18, with Pastor Harold Wightman officiating.
Interment was held in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Hill.
MATTHEW STOREY JR.
Matthew Storey Jr., 85, McHenry, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at Cherry Hill Assisted Living, Accident.
Born June 5, 1920, in Brownsville, Pa., he was a son of the late Matthew Storey Sr. and Velma (Harkey) Storey. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Storey, Jerry Storey, and James Storey; and one sister, Ethel Tunison.
He was a carpenter, boat builder, and former owner of the Deep Creek Boat Company, McHenry. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for five years and was a former member of the Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Company.
He is survived by one daughter, Susan G. Perry, Oakland; one son, Matthew Storey III, McHenry; one sister, Lois Sutton, Greenville, S.C.; one brother, Samuel Storey, McHenry; four grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, where a service was held on Sunday, Dec. 18, with the Rev. Mel Menker officiating.
Interment was in Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
Military honors were accorded at the cemetery by members of the various veterans' organizations in southern Garrett County.

BART A. WINEGARDNER
Bart A. Winegardner, 47 Swanton, died Thursday Dec. 15, 2005, in the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born March 29, 1958, in Zanesville, Ohio, he was the son of Madonna (Fisher) Winegardner and the late Ralph E. Winegardner.
He was employed at NewPage (formerly known as Westvaco) in Westernport.
Surviving is his wife, Cheryl (McKnight) Winegardner; one son, Joshua David McKnight, Swanton; three daughters, Rachal Renee, Rebecca Lynn, and Renee Lynn, all residing at home; three brothers, Joseph Winegardner, Bowie, Kurt Winegardner, Hollywood, and Bret Winegardner, Swanton; and three sisters, Elaine Williams, Brunswick, Carol Raeder, Monrovia, and Nadine Peterson, Laurel.
Friends were received at the Burdock-Durst Funeral Home, Oakland.
Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday Dec. 19, in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Don Parson officiating.
Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Swanton.
A memorial fund for his three daughters has been established through WEPCO Credit Union.
EVERETT NAZELROD
Everett McKinley Nazelrod, 61, Ruther Glen, Va., died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Garrett County, he was a son of William and Hazel Nazelrod. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Eleanora; and five brothers, Ervin, Ernest, Ellis, Eston, and Earl.
He was a four-tour veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the United States Marine Corps and Virginia Army National Guard. He was also a member of the VFW and Moose clubs.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; one son, Michael Everett; one daughter, Cheryl Ann Grimmius; one brother, Edward Na-zelrod; and two sisters, Esther Johnson and Elizabeth Dixon.
Friends were received at the Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Va., where a service was held on Monday, Dec. 5, with the Rev. Dr. Fred Skaggs officiating.
At his request, his body was cremated. Inurnment was at the Country Line Baptist Church, Ruther Glen.
The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
