Walter Neitzey
Walter Norman Neitzey, 90, a resident of Stevensville for 18 years and formerly of Churchton for 34 years, died of a stroke March 17, 2006 at FutureCare-Chesapeake in Arnold after a brief illness.
Born Nov. 10, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Neitzey graduated from Hyattsville High School in 1932. He served in the Army Reserves during World War II as a flight instructor and mechanic.
He retired from the former Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. in 1973 after 32 years of service as a lineman and installer. He was also owner and operator of the Deep Creek Airport in Churchton from the 1950s through the mid-1980s. It was a full service airport, where he gave flight lessons. He flew advertisement banners over Washington Redskins home football games.
He was active in the Maryland Wing of the Civil Air Patrol and was a long time member of the Telephone Pioneers. His interests included traveling extensively around the world and wintering in Florida.
On April 25, 1934, he married
Amy McNally Neitzey, who died March 28, 2003. He was the father of the late Walter N. Neitzey III and Ida Paddy and the brother of the late Helen Neitzey.
Surviving are three daughters, Terri Flaherty of Stevensville, Robin Kahoe of Port Deposit and Lori Neitzey of Tallahassee, Fla.; one sister, Carol Dale of Crested Butte, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. tomorrow at Hardesty Funeral Home, 905 Galesville Road, Galesville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial is private.

Leroy Snowdon
A memorial service for Leroy "Roy" T. Snowdon, 91, of Annapolis, will be held at 3 p.m. March 25, 2006 in the Friendship Hall at Ginger Cove, 4000 River Crescent Drive.
Mr. Snowdon died Dec. 31 at the retirement community.
Shirley Trotter
Shirley Denise June Brown Trotter, 35, of Annapolis, died March 10, 2006 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. The cause of death was not available.
Known as "Momma, " Mrs. Trotter was born May 2, 1970, in Annapolis and attended Anne Arundel County public schools. She was a member of Mount Olive A.M.E. Church and Hopkins United Methodist Church. She enjoyed ushering, singing and going to the beach.
She was formerly married
to Richard Parker Sr.
Surviving are her husband, Ricky Trotter, whom she married
Aug. 8, 2004; two sons, Richard Parker Jr. and Tavon Johnson of Annapolis; one daughter, Hanna E. A. Crowmwell of Columbia; her parents, Hanna Brown Harding of Annapolis and Larry A. Murray of Merritt Island, Fla.; her step-parents, Judith A. Murray of Columbia and Lee Harding of Annapolis; one brother, Fracy O. Johnson of Baltimore; one sister, Lori M. Murray of Columbia; and her grandparents, Robert and Ophelia Bennett of Annapolis, Edith G. Murray of Trappe and George A. Murray of Hurlock.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, 2 Hicks Ave., with a Christian wake at 10:30 a.m. and funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens on Forest Drive following the service. Arrangements are by Reese and Sons Mortuary.
Lisa Brown
Lisa K. Brown, 47, a resident of Severna Park for 14 years, died of breast cancer March 12, 2006 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie.
Born April 24, 1958, in Iowa, and the daughter of Charles and Shirley Brown of Glen Burnie, Ms. Brown attended Anne Arundel Community College and Towson University, where she earned a master's degree in education.
Mrs. Brown worked for the Anne Arundel County school system for more than 20 years, serving at Brooklyn Park and Oakland Elementary schools and for six years at Arundel Middle School. During that time, she helped develop certain portions of the school's curriculum, reviewed texts for the school board and helped introduce the Battle of the Books and the Mathador programs.
She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Severn. Her interests included home decoration, gardening, antiques, travel, history, storytelling, the beach and contra dancing.
In addition to her parents, surviving are three sisters, Lori L. Fisher and Toni R. Day, both of Glen Burnie, and Tracie A. Jamieson of Arnold; two brothers, Jeffrey E. Brown of Severna Park and Sean M. Brown of Annapolis; and her companion, Doug Ferguson of Taneytown.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Singleton Funeral Home, 1 Second Ave. S.W. at Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. Marjorie Cassell
Marjorie Swift Cassell, 93, of Annapolis, and formerly of Buffalo, N.Y., died March 9, 2006 at Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Cassell was born on July 29, 1912, in Orchard Park, N.Y., to the late Charles Bernard Swift and Gladys Annis. She graduated from Buffalo State Teachers' College and taught in various elementary schools in western New York before moving to the Washington, D.C., area in 1951.
She was a member of the Rock Spring Garden Club, the Potomac Lily Society and the Old Dominion Chrysanthemum Society. She was a flower judge, belonging to the Virginia Judges Council and the Landscape Design Council, and volunteered many hours at the National Arboretum.
She also brought her love of gardening to the children of McKinley School and served as a docent at the U.S. Capitol.
Her husband, William Cassell, died in 1975. She was the sister of the late Donald W. Smith and Dorothy S. Kimmel.
Surviving are her half-sister, Janet Taylor Swift of Snyder, N.Y., and several nieces, nephews and grand- and great-grand-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held this summer in Buffalo. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Arboretum, 3501 New York Ave. NE, Washington, DC 20022.
Ella Davis
Ella Grim Davis, 79, a resident of Annapolis for 25 years, died of non-Hodgkins lymphoma March 12, 2006 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a three-month illness.
Born Nov. 22, 1926, in Upper Darby, Pa., and the daughter of the late John L. Grim and Mary Alice O'Brien, Mrs. Davis attended the University of Delaware and graduated from Hofstra University in New York in 1948. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Chester George Davis, whom she married
June 11, 1949, a week after his graduation from the Naval Academy; one son, Chester George "Chip" Davis Jr. of Hockessin, Del.; five daughters, Susan Davis Hendrickson of Long Island, N.Y., Martha "Marty" Davis Corona of Annapolis, Patricia Davis Tetlow of Middleton, N.J., Kathleen Davis Calvert of Millersville and Amy Davis Oristian of Rockville; one brother, Harry J. Grim of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Mary Alice Patricia "Pat" Grim Stenson of Toms River, N.J.; and 12 grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late William Thomas and John L. Grim Jr.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester St. Burial is private.

Karel Husar
A Mass of Christian burial was offered this morning at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church in Millersville for Karel Husar, 94, a resident of Crownsville for 20 years and formerly of College Park and Westminster.
Mr. Husar died of natural causes March 11, 2006 at Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crownsville.
Born Dec. 10, 1911, in Czechoslovakia, Mr. Husar came to the United States with a young family in 1948 and became an American citizen in 1964. While living in Czechoslovakia, he earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical design engineering and served in the Czech Army as a colonel.
He worked for the Stonized Product Corp. in College Park as a design engineer from 1953 to 1976.
His interests included home repairs and reading.
Surviving are his wife, Lydia H. Husar, whom he married
in June 1947; one son, Charles Theodore "Charlie" Husar of Annapolis; two daughters, Anna Lydia "Annie" Husar of Crownsville and Elizabeth Irene Boylan of Paterson, N.J.; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother and sister.
Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were by Hardesty Funeral Home in Gambrills.

Dorothy Kirkley
Services for Dorothy S. Kirkley, 83, a two-year resident of Sykesville and formerly of Annapolis, were held March 8, 2006 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Kensington.
Mrs. Kirkley died of natural causes March 3 at Copper Ridge retirement community in Sykesville after a brief illness.
Born April 21, 1922, in Princess Anne, she was a teacher in county schools and retired as supervisor of elementary schools for Anne Arundel County.
She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a women educators' honor society, as well as St. Paul's United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church in Annapolis.
Her interests included church work, gardening, correspondence with friends and playing the piano.
She was the widow of the Rev. Charles F. Kirkley and sister of the late Lorraine Bloodsworth.
Surviving are three sons, Craig Kirkley of Stevensville, Chad E. Kirkley of North Carolina and Cort E. Kirkley of Virginia; and five grandchildren.
Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
