CHARLES T. NOLAN
Charles Thomas Nolan, 82, Albuquerque, N.M., died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, in Fort Worth, Texas, while residing with his son.
Born March 3, 1923, in Trinidad, Colo., he was the son of the late Michael Thomas Nolan and Eva L. Simpson Nolan. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nadine R. Jacob-sen Nolan, in 1961; and two sons, Cornelius S. Nolan in 1965, and Michael C. Nolan in 1988.
He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1940, and served with distinction throughout World War II in the Pacific Theater. He received two Purple Hearts, having been injured both at Tarawa and Okinawa. After being discharged from the Marine Corps, he worked for the Colorado Gold Creamery and Johnson Wax Co., and retired in 1985 after 20 years with the Zep Corporation.
He was a member of the Holy Child Catholic Church in Tijeras, N.M., and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the America Legion, and the BPO Elks in Albuquerque.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel Wells Nolan; two sons, Charles P. Nolan, Deer Park, and Sean R. Nolan, Forth Worth, Texas; three daughters, Margaret D. Lutton, Southbridge, Va., Jackie A. Weller, White Bear Lake, Minn., and Kathleen L. Ingram, Arlington, Texas; one sister, Catherine Stone, Las Cruces, N.M.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held at the St. Andrew Catholic Church in Fort Worth.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
RALPH G. SELL
Ralph Gregory Sell, 50, Denver, Colo., died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at his residence.
Born March 24, 1955, in Cumberland, he was a son of Patricia (McGee) Sell and the late Ralph "Bud" Francis Sell Jr. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Regina Sell; and his maternal grandparents, James C. McGee and B. Virginia Hawkins.
He graduated from Bishop Walsh High School in 1973, and graduated from James Madison University in 1977. He worked in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff in Colorado.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Logan Sell, Oakland; two sisters, Ellen S. Torrington, LaVale, and Virginia A. Huffman, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and one brother, Christopher P. Sell, LaVale.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

JAMES L. RAILEY SR.
James L. Railey Sr., 74, Oakland, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at his home in Destin, Fla.
Born Sept. 16, 1931, in McHenry, he was a son of the late Charles M. and Margaret E. (Merrill) Railey. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Hinebaugh, Mary R. Railey, and Marjorie Hamill; and two brothers, Clark Railey and Earle Railey.
He and his wife were the founders of Railey Realty Inc. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict, he was a 40-year member of Proctor Kildow Post #71; American Legion, Oakland; and Post #10077 VFW, Deer Park. He was a member of Oakland Lodge #2471, BPO Elks, Oakland. He attended Northwestern Louisiana University while serving in the U.S. Air Force. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Violet R. "Sis" (Baker) Railey; three sons, James L. "Jimmy" Railey Jr., Deep Creek Lake, Robert R. "Ruffy" Ridder, Memphis, Tenn., and Curtis Ridder, Oakland; two brothers, Charles G. Ridder, Bridgeport, W.Va., and Robert E. Railey, Deep Creek Lake; and six grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, today, Thursday, Dec. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. John A. Grant officiating.
Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of the various veterans' organizations in southern Garrett County.

GLADYS M. WARD
Gladys Mae (Ralston) Pamepinto Ward, 83, Swanton, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at the home of her daughter Judith (Pamepinto) Babylon in Sykesville.
Born Jan. 27, 1922, in Lonaconing, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Lintz) Ralston. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Pamepinto; her second husband, George Ward; and one sister, Mildred (Ralston) Barnes.
She was a graduate of Central High School, Lonaconing. She served in the United States Navy Waves during World War II. She is a 1968 graduate of the Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She was employed as an LPN at Sacred Heart and Memorial hospitals. She also was a nurse at Dr. Matthew Kauffman's private practice on Seton Drive, and she later retired from nursing at Moran Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, W.Va.
Surviving are one daughter, Judith (Pamepinto) Bab-ylon, Sykesville; one son, Morris Pamepinto, Swanton; one brother, Robert Ralston Jr., Westernport; one stepdaughter, Ruth Georg, Accident; one stepson, Charles Ward, Swanton; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, today, Thursday, Dec. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Eric Jorgensen of the St. Stephen's Reformed Episcopal Church, Eldersburg.
Interment will be in the Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
MARTIN M. EICHORN
The Lord took our beloved son and brother, Martin Mayer Eichorn, 39, Mtn. Lake Park, and formerly of Grantsville, to spend Christmas with him this year on Dec. 19, 2005, at his residence.
Born Sept. 11, 1966, in Frostburg, he was the son of Kay (Sluss) Feigley. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Bill and Frances Sluss; and one niece, Kathleen Kay Eichorn.
Martin attended Harvest Baptist Church, participated in the Special Olympics, and received awards in all sports. He was dearly loved by everyone he met.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Dick Feigley; one brother, John L. Eichorn and fiancée Donna Warnick, Grantsville; two sisters, Tonya McClintock and husband Paul, and Tammy Bittinger and husband Tommy, all of Grantsville; and four nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, Chad Wilburn, Alexis Bittinger, Jordan McClintock, and Cameron McClintock.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, today, Thursday, Dec. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Service of Remembrance will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Alan Birkby officiating.

DENNIS B. SINES
Dennis Bryan Sines, 32, Friendsville, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, in Baltimore as a result of a work- related accident. See story on front page.
Born Jan. 7, 1973, in Oakland, he was the son of Lillian (Friend) Sines of Friendsville and the late Bryan Sines.
He was employed by the Asplundh Company. He was a graduate from Delta Truck Driving Academy and attended Maryland Defense Force. He was a Pvt. E-2, Maryland National Guard, and also was a member of Western Maryland Christian Center, Friendsville.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one half-brother, Clifford Alan Sines, Athelstone, Wis.; two sisters, Brenda Renee Sines and Loretta Faye Otto, both of Friendsville; two nieces; and three nephews.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, today, Thursday, Dec. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted at the Western Maryland Christian Center on Friday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Robinson officiating.
Interment will be in the Blooming Rose Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
HENRIETTA M. KUHN
Henrietta Marguerite Kuhn, 87, Oakland, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born in Springfield, Mo., she was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Bricken.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Kuhn; one son, Bruce Walker, Edmond, Okla., two daughters, Diane Hampton, St. Louis, Mo., and Patty Keating, Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
At her request, her body was cremated. No viewing was held.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
