WILLARD R. WILT
Willard Reed "Jake" Wilt, 65, Grantsville, died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at his home.
Born Dec. 12, 1940, in Jennings, he was a son of the late Ray and Gladys (Palmer) Wilt. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joann (Johnson) Wilt, May 8, 2004; two brothers, Clair "Nook" and Raymond Wilt; and two sisters, Frances Green and Hattie Housel.
He was a retired maintenance man for Harbison-Walker Refractories and was a member of Mountain Top Wagon Train Association and Piney Mountain Sportsmen's Club.
Surviving are two sons, William "Pork" Wilt and Ray J. Wilt, both of Grantsville; one daughter, Carol Ann Sisler, Aurora, W.Va.; two brothers, Robert "Rob" Wilt, Florida, and Willard "Butch" Wilt, Boonsboro; one sister, Phyllis "Dean" Donahue, Grantsville; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where a service was held on Monday, May 15, with the Rev. Alan Birkby officiating.
Interment was in Grantsville Cemetery.
JAMES BOLDEN
James Bolden, 82, Meyersdale, Pa., died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at his home.
Born Jan. 12, 1924, in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Edgar E. and Nell (Pugh) Bolden. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Stotler; and two brothers, John and Jack.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He retired from Bolden Brothers Plumbing and Heating, Meyersdale.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Kemp Bolden; three sons, Gary Bolden, Meyersdale, Wayne Bolden, Oakland, and Robert Bolden, Meyersdale; one daughter, Jane Smith, Meyersdale; four siblings, Joe Bolden, Meyersdale, Della Jones, Rockwood, Pa., Theda Joganic, Somerset, Pa., and Lois Bolden, California; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the William Rowe Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale.
A service was held Saturday, May 13, at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. James M. Dugan, V.F. celebrant.
Committal followed in the SS Philip & James Cem-etery, Meyersdale.
Military rites were accorded by America Legion Post 112 and VFW Post 3504.
LOIS J. KITZMILLER
Lois Jean Kitzmiller, 76, Elk Garden, W.Va., died Saturday, May 13, 2006, at the Heartland Nursing Home in Keyser, W.Va.
Born May 4, 1929, in Montana, she was a daughter of the late George and Sophie Hanson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen J. Kitzmiller.
Surviving are seven sons, George Kitzmiller, Mt. Storm, W.Va., Roger Kitzmiller of Texas, Ronald Kitzmiller of Kentucky, Harold Kitzmiller of Elk Garden, Frederick Kitzmiller of Oregon, Richard Kitzmiller of Elk Garden, and James Kitzmiller of Terra Alta, W.Va.; four daughters, Virginia Paugh and Mildred Paugh, both of Elk Garden, and Betty Kitzmiller and Cindy Kitzmiller both of Hedgesville, W.Va.; two brothers, James Hanson of California, and Gene Hanson of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one sister, Martha Hanson of Nevada; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, where a service was held on Tuesday, May 16, with the Rev. Donald E. Marple officiating.
Interment was in IOOF Cemetery, Elk Garden.
RUBY V. RODEHEAVER
Ruby V. Rodeheaver, 96, Hazelton (Mountain Dale), W.Va., died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 29, 1910, in Cuzzart, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Samuel Wilbert and Maude A. Smith Livengood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Rodeheaver, Dec. 10, 1987; one son, Charles Gary Rodeheaver, Aug. 15, 2004; six brothers, Ralph, Dewey, Sherman, Ray, Fred, and Ward Livengood; two sisters, Thelda Frazee and Millie Herring; and two grandsons.
She was a member of the Mountain Dale Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are one daughter, Charlotte League, Lancaster, S.C.; three sons, Homer Rodeheaver, Friendsville, Robert Rodeheaver, Oakland, and Clayton Rodeheaver, Hazelton; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville/Bruceton Mills, W.Va., where a service was held on Sunday, May 14, with the Rev. Donald Matthews officiating.
Burial followed in Sandy Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills.

DAWN L. JENKINS
Dawn Lavonne Jenkins, 69, Friendsville, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, in Rutherfordton, N.C.
Born Feb. 4, 1937, in Scranton, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Charles Joshua and Bernice Elizabeth (Westcott) Taylor. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Duane Taylor.
She was a member of Gospel Center, Markleysburg, Pa., and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Garland Jenkins, Friendsville; two daughters, Maureen La-vonne Hadden, Forest City, N.C., and Cinda Yvonne Moss, Rutherfordton; one sister, Cheryll Larsen, Bovard, Pa.; and six grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, today, Thursday, May 18, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Martin Stewart officiating.
Interment will be held in St. John's Cemetery.
RICHARD B. SCHWINABART
Richard B. "Dick" Schwinabart, 80, died Sunday, May 14, 2006, at West Virginia University Hospital, Morgantown.
Born June 13, 1925, in Elk Garden, W.Va., he was a son of the late David Markwood and Elizabeth (Burke) Schwinabart. Also preceding him in death were one brother, David Carroll Schwinabart; and two sisters, Mildred Burgess and Kathleen Swisher. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Schwinabart was president/owner of D&L Coal Co. Inc., Keyser, W.Va., and G&S Coal Co., Inc., Bloomington, and had worked in the trucking and coal business since 1946. He was a 1942 graduate of Elk Garden High School and attended Potomac State College from 1945 to 1947.
Dick was an active member of Keyser Lions Club, where he served in many positions within the organization for over 40 years, and was presented the Melvin Jones Fellow Award offered by Lions International for decades of service to the organization and the community. He was a member of Sulphur United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 662, Keyser, and life member of BPOE Lodge 114, Cumberland.
Dick was a former member of the F&M Bank board of directors, 1992-2002, and chairman of the Advisory Board of BB&T Bank, 2002-2003. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed the great outdoors.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Doris A. (Duck-worth) Schwinabart; his three sons, Timothy B. Schwinabart and wife Vicki and Ted M. Schwinabart and wife Tanya, all of Swanton, and Troy R. Schwinabart and wife Aimee of New Creek, W.Va.; and three grandchildren, Jordan, Brilee, and Max Schwinabart. He is also survived by two nieces, Barbara Gaiser of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Freya Harper of Chesterfield, Va.
Friends were received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
A service was held today, Thursday, May 18, at the Nethken Hill United Methodist Church, Elk Garden, with the Rev. Donald Marple and Rev. Joseph Gerstell officiating.
Interment followed in Schwinabart Cemetery, Elk Garden.

BERTHA E. HANDWERK
Bertha Ellen Handwerk, 59, Grantsville, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Oct. 22, 1946, in Jennings, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Sarah (Wilt) Wilt. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Harry Douglas; one brother, Russell Wilt; and one sister, Leora Bittinger.
Mrs. Handwerk was a member of Bethesda Church of the Brethren, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Harry B. Handwerk, whom she married June 15, 1963; three daughters, Vonda Sebold and husband Jeff, Grantsville, Marla Rugg and husband Michael, Boynton, Pa., and Julie Bunnell and husband Gary, Salisbury, Pa.; two grandsons, Derek Sebold and Walker Bunnell; and six sisters, Sylvia Platter, Goldie Wilburn, and Peggy Wilburn, all of Grantsville, Pearl Robertson, Novelty, Ohio, Elmeda Kitzmiller, Manassas Park, Va., and Dolly Drees, Finzel.
A service was conducted on Wednesday, May 17, at Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
Interment was in Grantsville Cemetery.

SANDRA K. GUY
Sandra Kay Guy, 52, Bloomington, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, of complications from cancer.
Born Sept. 1, 1953, in Keyser, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late John R. White Jr. and the late Dorothy A. (Wolfe) White. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy White.
She was a 1971 graduate of Bruce High School. She was a certified nursing assistant and medicine aide, having worked at Moran Manor Nursing Home, Westernport. She was Protestant by faith.
Surviving are her husband, Steve Guy; three sons, Christopher Guy, Westernport, Eric Guy, Keyser, and Justin Guy, Bloomington; two brothers, Melvin White, Westernport, and Richard White, Bloomington; two sisters, Virginia Duckworth, Bloomington, and Barbara Carpenter, Westernport; and four grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, today, Thursday, May 18, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Bruce Glisson officiating.
Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington.
ATTICUS J. McKENZIE
Atticus Joseph McKenzie, infant son of Andrew and Krista (Spiker) McKenzie, Accident, died at birth, Thursday, June 22, 2006, at Somerset Hospital, Somerset, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather, Carl Duckworth.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Brenda and Ronnie Crites, Cumberland, and Tom Spiker and Jane Donadio, Holdrege, Neb.; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Arlene McKenzie, Accident; his maternal great-grandparents, Wanda and Dave Binnix, Frostburg, Irvin and Donna Morgan, Lonaconing, and Judy and Mark Metz, Lonaconing; and his paternal great-grandparents, Clinton and Mary McKenzie, Grantsville, and Deretta Duck-worth, Grantsville.
Private graveside services will be conducted at the Grantsville Cemetery, with the Rev. Daymond Schmuck officiating.
