Helen McCormick
Helen Coumbe McCormick, 90, died Oct. 18, 2000 at North Arundel Hospital after a lengthy illness. She recently was a resident of an assisted living facility in Severna Park.
Mrs. McCormick was born May 29, 1910, in Corning, N.Y., where she was educated and married
to Francis "Tim" McCormick, who died in 1985.
She lived in Waverly, N.Y., during the World War II years, where she worked for the Rationing Board. Her family moved to Olean, N.Y., and she was a secretary at St. Bonaventure University for a period of time.
She was an avid sports fan, a golfer and bridge player.
Surviving are three sons, the Rev. Louis M. McCormick of Holy Peace Friary in West Clarksville, N.Y., Gerald McCormick of Arnold and John P. McCormick of Severna Park; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. An additional visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, 626 E. State St., Olean. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 202 S. Union St., Olean, followed by burial in St. Bonaventure University cemetery in Allegany, N.Y.

Leith Warlick
Leith Austin Warlick, 67, a resident of Vinalhaven, Maine since 1987 and previously of Annapolis, died of natural causes at her home on Oct. 17, 2000 after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Warlick was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Annapolis, and graduated in 1955 from Hollins College in Virginia. She was a homemaker who loved animals, wildflowers and living in Maine.
She was married
Sept. 25, 1965, to William W. Warlick Jr.
Also surviving are her son, William W. Warlick III of Madison, Wis.; her daughter, Isabella Leith Warlick of Yarmouth, Maine; and two sisters, Alexandra Austin Jame and Jane Austin Watkins, both of Vinalhaven.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Union Church of Vinalhaven. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Laite and Pratt Funeral Home in Camden, Maine.

William Cook Jr.
William Henry Cook Jr., 74, of Centreville, died Sept. 27, 2002 at Corsica Hills nursing home in Centreville.
Born July 2, 1928, in Hope, Mr. Cook was the son of the late William H. Cook Sr. and Lillian Louise Covington Cook. He graduated in 1945 from Centreville High School and attended Goldey Beacom College in Philadelphia.
He worked on the family farm and for Seney Oil Co. in Centreville and the Queen Anne's County Sheriff Department. He later worked with the Eastern Shore Pre-Release Unit Correctional Facility in Church Hill for 27 years, retiring as a captain in 1990.
Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Cook Ratnavale of Bethesda and Linda Cook Wallace of Annapolis; two brothers, Edwin and Howard Cook, both of Centreville; and four granddaughters.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 408 S. Liberty St., Centreville, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Chesterfield cemetery in Centreville.
Gloria Fletcher
Gloria Mae Fletcher, 77, of Odenton, died Sept. 20, 2002 of natural causes at her home.
Ms. Fletcher was born May 1, 1925, in Annapolis. She worked for Vesta Inc. and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving are two sons, Nicky Brown of Washington, D.C., and Gregory Brown of Annapolis; one daughter, Wanda Parker of Glen Burnie; two sisters, Margaret Fleming of Washington, D.C., and T. Alice Butler of Annapolis; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Monday at Reese and Sons Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road. Burial will follow in Bestgate Cemetry.
Lee Lovette
Wilson Lee Lovette, 58, of Darlington, S.C., and previously of Kent Island, died of natural causes Sept. 26, 2002 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Lovette was born May 23, 1944, in Asheville, N.C. He served in the Navy and was employed as a carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Joanne Lovette; two sons, Wilson and Brian Lovette of Annapolis; one stepdaughter, Dawn Kyle of Greensboro in Caroline County; and one stepson, Brian McLaughlin of Annapolis; his father, Woodrow Wilson Lovette of Darlington; two grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
Private services are planned. Arrangements are by Belk Funeral Home in Darlington.
Donald Raulin
Frederick Donald Raulin, 78, a resident of Edgewater for 39 years, died of complications of cancer Sept. 27, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mr. Raulin was born April 8, 1924, in Washington, D.C., where he attended McKinley High School. From 1941 to 1950 he was a machinist with the Navy Yard. From 1950 to 1961 he was a master plumber with John G. Webster, and from 1961 to 1984 until retiring he was a machinist with the National Park Service.
Mr. Raulin was a member of the Annapolis Elks Lodge 622 and a Masonic lodge in Washington. His interests included fishing, gardening and his grandchildren.
In 1947 he was married
to Verla Jean Raulin. Also surviving are two sons, Donald Cecil Raulin of Edgewater and Dennis Raulin of Chesapeake Beach; one daughter, Susan Franklin of Edgewater; one sister, Marie Elizabeth Weller, a resident of the National Lutheran Home in Rockville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, where services will be at 1 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Lakemont cemetery in Davidsonville.

LeRoy Scott
LeRoy Franklin Scott Sr., 83, of Chester, died Sept. 27, 2002 at Heart Homes of Piney Orchard in Odenton.
Born in Miller, Iowa, on Dec. 3, 1918, Mr. Scott was the son of the late Franklin H. and Gena J. Ingebritson Scott. He moved to Washington, D.C., at the age of 14 and attended the University of Maryland, College Park.
As a young man he studied music. He served in the Navy during World War II as a second class petty officer in the Navy Band. After the war he played music on the East Coast for many celebrities.
He was a member of the Kent Island American Legion Post 278 in Stevensville.
Surviving are his sons, Douglas F. and Gerald L. Scott and LeRoy F. Scott Jr.; his daughter, Donna Amy Saia; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:45 p.m. Monday at the chapel at Maryland Veterans cemetery in Crownsville. Arrangements are by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home in Chester.
