Margaret Collinson
Margaret Frances "Peg" Collinson, 79, a former nurse and resident of Edgewater for 50 years, died Sept. 30, 2000 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. The cause of death was not available.
Mrs. Collinson was born in Hudson, N.Y., on May 11, 1921. She attended nursing school in Baltimore, where she received her licensed practical nurse certificate. Over the years, she worked in area hospitals and nursing homes through the early 1990s.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater and a former member of the church choir. She was also a past grand regent of the Catholic Daughters of America.
Her interests were cooking, camping and entertaining.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward S. Collinson; two sons, James E. Collinson of Westminster and Ryan J. Collinson of Edgewater; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Suzanne Thomas, died March 1995.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mary Jane Cotton
Mary Jane Cotton, 48, a 30-year resident of Crownsville, died unexpectedly at her home Sept. 29, 2000. The cause of death is unavailable.
Mrs. Cotton, a homemaker, was born in Baltimore on Feb. 2, 1952. She loved animals and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory Cotton; one son, Gregory Cotton Jr. of Crownsville; her mother, Rita Polacek of Grasonville; and two sisters, Patricia Kirby of Stevensville and Cindy Bowdren of Grasonville.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow with the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Martin Bump Jr.
Martin Bump Jr., 82, a Severna Park resident for 42 years, died of natural causes Feb. 8, 2002 at Future Care-Chesapeake in Arnold after a brief illness.
Mr. Bump was born on Nov. 25, 1919, and raised in Troy, N.Y. He graduated from the Hoosac School in New York.
He was in the Army during World War II, and was awarded the Bronze Star medal after serving in North Africa, Italy, Germany and in the invasion of France.
After the war, he worked as a salesman for Behr-Manning Corp. in New York and Chicago and later with the Norton Co. in New Jersey and Baltimore.
Mr. Bump was a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Severna Park. He enjoyed traveling in his trailer and collecting old model cars.
Surviving are his wife, Olive Bump; two daughters, Deborah B. Collie of Ruther Glen, Va., and Janis B. Whitley of Albemarle, N.C.; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Eleanor B. Krohl.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pasadena United Methodist Church, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Delia Chew
Delia Vonsittia Chew, 64, of Annapolis and previously of Odenton, died of cancer Feb. 6, 2002 after a two-year illness.
Mrs. Chew was born in Davidsonville on March 11, 1937, and attended the former Wiley H. Bates High School.
She was employed in food service by Kmart in Annapolis for 20 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Chew was a reverend mother for more than 30 years at St. Anthony Twilight Spiritual Church in Baltimore and president of the Golden Link Club.
She loved going to bingo, working crossword puzzles, travel and arts and crafts.
She was married
in 1962 to Cravon W. Chew, who died in 1995.
Surviving are two sons, Charles A. and Aaron M. Brown of Annapolis; two daughters, Edwina M. Stewart of Annapolis and Elaine Jackson-Brown of Baltimore; a brother, Roy B. Blake of Cherry Hill in Baltimore City; 22 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Reese and Sons Mortuary, 821 West St., followed by the Christian wake at 10:30 a.m. and the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Annapolis Memorial Gardens on Bestgate Road.
Sarah Hamilton
Sarah Sadonia Brown Hamilton, 74, of Ananpolis, died of a heart attack Feb. 7, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Hamilton was born May 12, 1927, in Annapolis, and graduated from the former Wiley H. Bates High School in 1944. She received her licensed practical nurse certification from the Community College of Baltimore.
From 1952 to 1982 she worked at Crownsville Hospital Center, retiring as a nursing surpervisor.
She was a member and trustee emeritus of Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, where she was secretary of the nurses unit and a member of the John A. Makell senior lay organization.
Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Prince Hall Chapter No. 15, Maryland Jurisdiction; past most noble governor, Household of Ruth No. 526, Annapolis; secretary to the Commission on Aging for the City of Annapolis; and a member of the Federation of Licensed Practical Nurses and the Parole Health Center.
Her interests included crocheting and knitting.
On June 7, 1980, she was married
to the Rev. Elihue W. Hamilton, who was affiliated with First Baptist Church of Annapolis.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Melanie Hamilton of Brooklyn Park; a stepdaughter, D. Ann Jones of Annapolis; one brother, Cirnell Brown of Annapolis; three sisters, Gertrude McGowan of Annapolis, Mildred Curtis of Upper Marlboro and Marion Hairston of Aberdeen; and two grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late Bertie Creek Brown and Cirnell Brown and the sister of the late Evelyn Brown and Beatrice Jenkins.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at Miller's Metropolitan Chapel, 1922 Forest Drive. A Christian wake will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, 2 Hicks Ave., followed by the funeral services at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Annapolis Memorial Gardens on Bestgate Road.
Florence LiCalzi
Florence L. LiCalzi, 82, of Waldorf and a resident of the Crofton Convalescent Center since September 2001, died Feb. 9, 2002 at the center. The cause of death was unavailable.
Mrs. LiCalzi was born June 17, 1919, in Washington, D.C., raised in Capitol Heights and graduated from the former Maryland Park High School.
She was married
on Nov. 23, 1940, to Joseph E. LiCalzi and they raised their family in Capitol Heights. Mr. LiCalzi died in 1973.
Starting in 1957, she worked as a supply clerk for the Washington Wholesale Drug Exchange and then for the District Wholesale Drug Co., before retiring in 1985. She moved to Waldorf in 1994.
She was a member of a senior citizens group in Capitol Heights. Her interests included embroidery, crocheting and trips to Dover, Del., for the slots and gambling.
Surviving are her daughter, Judy L. Ward of Waldorf; two sons, Ernie C. LiCalzi of Lothian and Joe A. LiCalzi of Waldorf; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Ronald F. LiCalzi and was preceded in death by seven siblings.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Rausch Funeral Home, 8325 Mount Harmony Lane, Owings, where services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Fort Lincoln cemetery in Brentwood.
