Wayne Eurich
Private memorial services were held in Hilo, Hawaii, for Wayne Leroy Eurich, 71, formerly of Upper Marlboro, who died May 30, 2001 at his home in Hilo.
Mr. Eurich was born in Bakerstown, Pa. He served in the Korean conflict as a supply sergeant in Germany.
He was a retired brickmason and a member of the Bricklayers Union.
Mr. Eurich was a member of Elks Lodge 759, the Ancient Order of Foresters Court, Maunakea 8854, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4490, the American Legion and the Anela Street Kumiai.
He enjoyed woodworking, playing golf, eating crabs and was an avid Washington Redskins fan.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" Eurich; one son, Gregory Eurich of Lothian; two daughters, Susan Fry of Crofton and Sandra Eurich of Hilo; one brother, Lloyd Eurich of The Azores; two sisters, Mary Miller of Bakerstown, Pa., and Lily Mae Scheerbaum of Texas; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Staley Eurich and Grace Cunningham Eurich; and his sister, Georgia Eurich Gillespie.
Arrangements were made by Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home.
John Kirby
John Albert Kirby, 65, of Seaford, Del., formerly of Severna Park, died June 5, 2001 at his home following a heart attack.
Born in Milford, Mass., Mr. Kirby was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where he was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. He served as an officer in the Navy.
His working career was with IBM Corp. as a marketing executive, from which he retired after 30 years.
While living in Maryland he was a member of the Exchange Club and the Rotary Club. After moving to Delaware he served as a court appointed special advocate and was advocate of the year in 1999.
He was a former member of St. Anne's Church where he worked with newcomers. After moving to Seaford he joined St. Luke's Episcopal Church serving as a chalicist and as head of several committees. He completed four years of Education for Ministry in the church.
An avid golfer, he was on the board of several country clubs, including the Seaford Country Club.
His wife, the Rev. Jeanne Wise Kirby, served on the staff of St. Anne's Church in Annapolis before moving to Seaford six years ago.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his mother, Shirley Kirby of Massachusetts; three sons, John Kirby Jr. of Annandale, Va., James Kirby of Mannheim, Germany; and Joseph Kirby of Annapolis; his sister, Mary Vaccaro, and brother James Kirby, both of Massachusetts; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Luke's Church in Seaford. Another service will be held at a later date in Upton, Mass. Arrangements are by the Watson and Yates Funeral Home in Seaford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 202 North St., Seaford, DE 19973.
Martha Ludt
Martha Ann Ludt, 74, a 15-year resident of Annapolis, died June 6, 2001 at Future-Care Chesapeake in Arnold, of complications of Alzheimer's disease.
Mrs. Ludt was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and raised in Chevy Chase.
She was a member of the Clarksburg, W.Va., Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Michael A. Wehrle of Arnold and Timothy M. Wehrle of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; two daughters, Teresa Wehrle of Annapolis and Patricia W. Davidson of Arnold and three grandchildren.

Sandy O'Connell
Sanderson "Sandy" E. O'Connell, 51, of Atlanta, died suddenly at his home on June 3, 2001.
Born in Annapolis, he graduated from East Carolina University and the Babcock School of Business at Wake Forest University where he received a master's degree in business administration.
He was president of Sanderson Consulting, an energy management consultancy to the affordable housing industry.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Trish O'Connell; one daughter, Katie O'Connell, both of Atlanta; his mother, Molly O'Connell of Baltimore; his sisters, Lonnie Foley of Portland, Ore., and Jackie Levinson of Providence, R.I.
His interests were fishing, golfing and gardening.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Ga., where the funeral service will follow at 4 p.m.

Mary Skeen
Mary Elizabeth Scrivener Skeen, 90, of Baltimore, died June 7, 2001 of heart failure at College Manor in Lutherville after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Skeen attended the former Hannah More Academy, an Episcopal girls boarding school in Reisterstown.
She was a member of the Church of the Redeemer and the Town Garden Club in Baltimore.
Her husband of 60 years, Barton Berry Skeen Sr., died in 1994.
Surviving are three sons, Barton B. Skeen Jr. of Wayland and Robert G. Skeen and Douglas T. Skeen of Baltimore; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery, routes 2 and 258 in Lothian, where many of her forebearers are buried.
Arrangements were made by the Hardesty Funeral Home, 905 Galesville Road, Galesville.

Martin Spolarich
Retired Air Force Major Martin Michael Spolarich, 83, a resident of Bowie for 38 years, died June 4, 2001 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Major Spolarich was born in Martin, Pa.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a supply officer assigned to the Hump operation in India, Burma and China. After the war he joined the Air Force, retiring in 1963.
After leaving military service he was employed as a research analyst in the Federal Research Division of the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., until retiring in 1983.
Major Spolarich was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union and attended services at the Croatian Catholic Mission in Washington.
His wife of 35 years, Veronica Spolarich died in 1976.
Surviving are three sons, Martin Spolarich Jr. of Fairfax, Va., Mark Spolarich of Crofton and Peter Spolarich of Silver Spring; one daughter, Suzanne Spolarich of France; two sisters, Mary Spolarich of Bowie and Katherine Spolarich of Alexandria, Va. and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road in Bowie. Burial will be private.
