Madeline Goad
Madeline Elizabeth "Lynn" Goad, 54, a lifelong resident of Glen Burnie, died of lung cancer June 17, 2001 at a private residence in Linthicum.
Ms. Goad was born in Baltimore on June 13, 1947. A high school graduate, she was an administrative aide at the District Court in Annapolis for 10 years.
She enjoyed animals and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Christy Goad of Glen Burnie and Lisa Vinson Edds of Pasadena; her father, Peter Ensenat of Linthicum; and two sisters, Dorothy Smith of Glen Burnie and Carol Bellucci of Timonium. She was predeceased by her mother, Marjorie Wengert Ensenat; her stepmother, Genevieve Ensenat; and her brother, William Ensenat.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Wednesday at Singleton Funeral Home, 1 Second Ave. SW, Glen Burnie. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6501 Orchard Road in Linthicum. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill cemetery in Brooklyn Park.

Colin Humphrey
Colin David Humphrey, 2-year-old son of Robert D. and Julie V. Humphrey of Crofton, died June 16, 2001 at home after a yearlong battle with leukemia.
Colin was born at the Clatanoff Pavilion at Anne Arundel Medical Hospital in August 1998.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Nicholas T. Humphrey, and a sister, Jennifer L. Humphrey, both of Crofton; and his grandparents, Robert and Helen Humphrey of Linthicum and Lawrence and Harryette Bush of Silver Hill.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road in Gambrills. A Mass of the Angels will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1800 Seton Drive in Crofton. Burial will follow in Lakemont cemetery in Davidsonville.

Barbara Johnson
Barbara Schumann Johnson, 70, died June 17, 2001 at Spa Creek Center, Genesis ElderCare Network, in Annapolis.
Born Dec. 27, 1930, in Princeton, N.J., Mrs. Johnson moved to Maryland in 1942. She had worked for the county Department of Aging in its Outreach Program.
Her first husband, George Joseph Schumann, owner of Schumann's Bakeries, died in 1963.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Johnson of Severna Park; two sons, Steven M. Schumann of Severna Park and G. Braden Schumann of Indianapolis, Ind.; one daughter, M. Deborah Schumann of Severna Park; one sister, Gloria H. Keirsey of Millersville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Burial will be in Glen Haven cemetery in Glen Burnie.
Dorothy Moore
Dorothy Davis Moore, 89, a native of Annapolis, died June 16, 2001 at Ginger Cove Health Center.
Mrs. Moore was born into a Navy family and married
a Naval officer. She traveled extensively throughout this country and abroad and moved to Annapolis in 1962 when her husband, Rear Admiral Robert L. Moore Jr., Class of 1930, retired. Her husband died in 1996.
Her hobbies were doing needlework, reading and raising cats.
Survivors include one son, Robert L. Moore III of New York City; two daughters, Marjorie M. McAninch of Friendswood, Texas, and Dorothy M. Byerly of Annapolis; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late Navy Capt. Guy E. and Mabel M. Davis.
Services are private with burial in the Naval Academy Cemetery. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home.

Frieda Berger
Graveside services for Frieda Berger, 94, of Lauderhill, Fla., were held June 19, 2001 at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Mrs. Berger died of natural causes June 16 at Florida Medical Center.
Born March 10, 1907, in Poland, Mrs. Berger emigrated to Canada at age 13. She was married
in 1941 to Walter Berger, who is now deceased.
Between 1941 and 1968 the Bergers owned and operated women's clothing stores in Washington, D.C.
Surviving are one son, Dr. Michael Berger of Annapolis; one daughter, Charolette Ginsberg of Toronto; and six grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Benjamin's Funeral Home in Toronto. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 8424 Veterans Highway, Millersville, MD 21108.
Jerry Goodhand
Geraldine "Jerry" R. Goodhand, 71, of Stevensville, died June 21, 2001 at her home. The cause of death was not available.
Mrs. Goodhand was born Sept. 25, 1929, in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of the late Charles and Viola Linstorm Reyeur. She attended school in Springfield and graduated from Forest Park High School in Baltimore in 1949.
She worked for Johns Hopkins and International Harvester and later for Westinghouse, retiring in 1989.
On Nov. 12, 1949, she married
William Tyson Goodhand. They resided in Arbutus for 25 years and following retirement, moved to Stevensville.
She enjoyed sewing and was a quilter with the Queen Anne's Quilting Club. She was a member of Kent Island United Methodist Church and former member of the Kent Island Yacht Club.
In addition to her husband, survivors include one son, William T. Goodhand Jr. of Catonsville; one daughter, Donna G. Wittman of Glen Mills, Pa.; two sisters, Dorothy Leishear of Catonsville and Beverly Poisal of Eldersburg; one brother, Charles Reyeur of Arnold; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 106 Shamrock Road, Chester, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be private.

Edwin Johnson
Services for Edwin A. Johnson, 82, of Boise, Idaho, were held June 20, 2001 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Boise.
Mr. Johnson died of heart disease June 16 in Boise.
He was born April 16, 1919, to Herman and Rodi Johnson in Flom, Minn. He was drafted into the Army on Dec. 8, 1941, one day after the Pearl Harbor attack, and participated in the invasion of North Africa in November 1942 and was wounded in action in 1943.
He earned a degree in education from the University of Minnesota in 1948. While there he joined the choir at University Hope Lutheran Church where he met his wife, the former Gladys Asp. They were married
on Aug. 3, 1947.
Mr. Johnson earned a master's degree in education at the University of North Dakota and a master's degree in chemistry education at the University of New Hampshire.
He taught high school science and chemistry in Frazee, Minn., Meridian, Idaho, and Boise before retiring in 1981.
He was a charter member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, where he was a prayer warrior, a choir member and Bethel teacher.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Kent Johnson of Boise, Dennis Sonifer of Minneapolis, Marcia Milleville of Annapolis and Kevin Johnson of American Falls, Idaho; two sisters, Pat Grendahl of Grand Forks, N.D., and Gert Highness of Moorhead, Minn.; one brother, Mervin Johnson of Twin Valley, Minn.; and eight grandchildren.
