Lucy Anne Horner
Lucy Anne Horner, 68, of Arnold, died of a heart attack July 1, 2001 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
A homemaker, Mrs. Horner was born July 6, 1931, in Mount Morris, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Phyllis and Phillip Cipolla.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Sodality and the Rosary group for nursing homes. She served as co-chairman for the building, renovation and construction project at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park and was a member of the church's Prayer Tree.
Her hobbies included crabbing as well as other water activities, cooking, baking, singing, crossword puzzles, gardening and hosting gatherings at her home,
Surviving are her husband, William John Horner Sr.; three children, Phyllis Maher of Kailua, Hawaii, Frances "Midge" Horner of Washington, D.C., and Bill Horner Jr. of Fullerton in Baltimore County; and three grandchildren.
Also surviving are her siblings, Charles Cipolla of Tyaskin in Wicomico County, Mary Dibley and Sam Cipolla of Perry Hall, Martha Sheckler of Meadeville, Pa., Laura Rimore of Macedon, N.Y., Josephine Rice of Keystone Heights, Fla., Theresa Fraser of Mount Morris and Dominic Cipolla of Hornell, N.Y.
She was the sister of the late Rosie Coletta, Gert Ghiavaroli, Joseph Cipolla, Frances Karnes and Angie Hamler.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be private.

Debra Morris
Debra Fawn Morris, 47, of Grasonville, died unexpectedly at her home on June 29, 2001.
Born Sept. 3, 1953, in West Virginia, Mrs. Morris was the daughter of Dexter and Myrna Lafferty. She was raised in West Virginia by her stepfather, Everest Jones, and graduated from Trap Hill High School there. She worked for Heck's and Godfather Pizza in Glen Daniel, W. Va.
She moved to Anne Arundel County to be near her family and became a trained manicurist and pedicurist, working mainly with family and friends. Her interests included knitting, crocheting, plastic canvas and Web television.
Surviving are her husband, George W. Morris, whom she married
on July 14, 2000; her parents and stepfather, all of Millersville; a daughter, Darlene Borz of Stevensville; three sons, Rob Morris of Crofton and Richie and Brian Morris of Colorado; two brothers, Dexter and Derrick Dawson of Millersville; two sisters, Diane D. Thompson of Millersville and Leila Dowdy of Bolt, W.Va.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 106 Shamrock Road, Chester, where services will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Stevensville Cemetery.

Jordan Reigle
Jordan Christopher Reigle, 11-month-old son of Tonya and Joseph J. Reigle of Millersville, died of liver and kidney failure June 30, 2001 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Jordan was born July 16, 2000, at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother, Joshua Reigle, and his sister, Sabrina Reigle of Millersville; his grandparents, Josephine Reigle of Morningside in Prince George's County and Joe Reigle of Lusby and Bruce and Linda McIntire of Davidsonville; and his great-grandmother, Frances V. Johnson of Temple Hills.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. Services and burial will be private.
Catherine Twiddy
A graveside service for Catherine "Kitty" Twiddy, 82, of Annapolis, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Hillcrest Cemetery, followed by a gathering at her Hillsmere home.
Mrs. Twiddy died of cancer at home June 5, 2001 after a brief illness.
Her obituary was published on June 7.
Clara Comparetto
Services for Clara Belle Comparetto, 88, of Tracy's Landing, were held yesterday at Raymond-Wood Funeral Home in Dunkirk.
Mrs. Comparetto died July 2, 2001 at her home. The cause of death was not available.
Born in Cumberland to the late Porter Ray and Vergie Hewitt Albright, she lived in Daytona, Fla., and Waldorf before moving to Anne Arundel County in 1994.
She was a manager for the Hecht Co. before retiring. Her interests included square dancing, swimming and ceramics.
Her husbands, Stuart Adler, Emil F. Paschal and Leonard Comparetto, predeceased her as did two brother, Frederick and Walber Albright.
She is survived by her son, George Comparetto of North Carolina; her daughters, Nancy Watson of Prince Frederick, Carol Stallings of Tracy's Landing and Jean Weaver of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Southern Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 134 Owensville Road, West River, MD 20778.
Porter Decker Jr.
Retired Navy Senior Chief Porter Smith Decker, Jr., 76, a resident of Culpeper, Va., for 26 years, died July 5, 2001 at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda after a lengthy illness.
Chief Decker was born in Williamsburg, W.Va., on Nov. 17, 1924. He served in the Navy for 34 years, serving during World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
His wife of 52 years, Nell Christian Decker, died Nov. 4, 2000.
Surviving are his daughter, Diane Decker Christy of Severna Park; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rosewood cemetery in Lewisburg, W.Va.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fisher Houses, 24 Stokes Road, Bethesda, MD 20814-5002.
Katherine Johns
Funeral services for Katherine Jeanette "Kitty" Johns, 79, of Crofton and previously of Keysville, Va., were held last night at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie.
Mrs. Johns died of heart failure July 3, 2001 at the Bowie Health Center after a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 3, 1921, in Rock Point in Charles County, she was a homemaker.
In 1940 she married
Lawrence Wahl Sr. The couple was divorced in 1945. In 1947 she married
Herman R. Johns who died in 1983.
Surviving are two sons, John R. Wahl of Crofton and Lawrence Wahl Jr. of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be private.
