Gayle Patricia Barile
Gayle Patricia Barile, 56, of Cheltenham and formerly of Gambrills, died Aug. 13, 2001 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mrs. Barile was born April 20, 1945, in California, and attended college for a year. She worked as a travel agent for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church in Millersville. Her interests included travel and birds.
Surviving are her husband, Vincent Barile; two children, Frank Barile and Regina Drumm, both of Cheltenham; and two grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St. A memorial service will be held at 1:45 p.m. at Fort Myer Chapel followed by burial in Arlington National cemetery in Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1041 Route 3 North, Gambrills, MD 21054.
Andrew Barone
Services for retired Air Force Master Sgt. Andrew J. Barone, 54, of Severn, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Heritage Church of God, 8146 Quarterfield Road, Severn.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Singleton Funeral Home in Glen Burnie. Burial will be in Maryland Veterans cemetery in Crownsville following the service.
Master Sgt. Barone died of injuries suffered in an airplane crash on South Mountain near Hagerstown on Aug. 13, 2001.
Born April 17, 1947, in Donora, Pa., he was the son of Andrew Angelo Barone and the late Helen Shark Barone. He served in the Air Force from 1966 to 1988 and worked for the National Security Agency as an auditor.
He was a member and usher at Heritage Church of God.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Jana Barone; one son, Andrew J. Barone II of Odenton; one daughter, Amy J. Daley of Castle Shannon, Pa.; one brother, Joe Barone of Elkhart, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
Frederick Bohlander
Frederick John Bohlander Sr., 83, of Bowie, died Aug. 13, 2001 at Doctors Hospital in Lanham.
Mr. Bohlander was born Aug. 6, 1918, in North Bergen, N.J. He served an enlistment in the Army until 1939 and then in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II and the Korean War. He participated in battles at Guam, Iwo Jima, Guadacanal, Saipan and the Marshall Islands.
He was a retired toolmaker and equipment specialist at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and while in the Navy.
Mr. Bohlander was a member of the Smithsonian Institution, the Audubon Society, the Sierra Club, the National Wildlife Federation and St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was a voracious reader, collected stamps, coins and model railroads, and enjoyed shopping.
Surviving are his wife, Delta Bohlander; two sons, Fred Bohlander Jr. of Reston, Va., and Robert Bohlander of Rockville; three daughters, Nancy E. Hinman of Edgewater, Susan B. Banet of Great Falls, Va., and Barbara J. Barclay of Danville, Calif.; two sisters, Ruth Bohlander of Brick, N.J., and Dorothy Chamberlain of Hanover, Pa.; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie. A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 14720 Annapolis Road, Bowie. Burial will be in Maryland Veterans cemetery in Crownsville.

Helga Critzer
Helga Sophia Critzer, 60, died Aug. 14, 2001 at her home in Crofton after a long illness.
Mrs. Critzer was born Jan. 27, 1941, in Germany. A homemaker, she had resided in the Odenton and Crofton areas since 1974.
Mrs. Critzer was an animal lover who enjoyed bird watching and crossword puzzles.
Her husband, Robert W. Critzer, died in 1989.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Critzer of Severn; and two daughters, Peggy C. Luce and Diann K. Critzer, both of Crofton.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Maryland Veterans cemetery Chapel in Crownsville. Burial will follow. Hardesty Funeral Home in Gambrills is handling arrangements.

Mildred FitzGibbon
Mildred Walburga Mihm FitzGibbon, 77, of Annapolis and previously of Chillum in Prince George's County, died of cancer Aug. 14, 2001 at her home after a brief illness.
Also known as "Millye, " Mrs. FitzGibbon was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Washington, D.C., where she graduated in 1941 from Sacred Heart Academy. She worked as an executive secretary with the former Civil Aeronautics Board.
A homemaker, she received a governor's citation from the State of Maryland for outstanding volunteer service in 1997 for sharing her musical gifts. She played the piano for senior day care residents and at rehabilitation centers.
Mrs. FitzGibbon was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and an honorary board member of the ETM Corp. She loved the piano and playing bridge.
On April 20, 1944, she married
James Raymond FitzGibbon, who died in December 1991.
Surviving are one son, Joseph FitzGibbon of Bowie; three daughters, Joan Bauer of Crownsville, Jean Murphy of North Potomac and Janet Barlow of Silver Spring; three brothers, William Mihm of Washington, Bernard Mihm of Silver Spring and Joseph Mihm of Vienna, Va.; one sister, Sister Margaret Mihm, a member of the Dominican Order of nuns, of River Forest, Ill; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late James R. FitzGibbon and the sister of the late Brother Dominic George Mihm.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 22 in Arlington National Cemetery.
Royston Harrison
Royston L. "Biggie" Harrison, 91, who retired from The Capital in 1985 after 62 years of employment, died of cancer Aug. 11, 2001 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness. He lived in Ocala, Fla., and maintained a home in Eastport.
Mr. Harrison began working for the newspaper in 1923 when, as a lad of 13, he answered a classified advertisement for an "office boy." At an even younger age, he delivered the newspaper to more than 800 subscribers in his native Eastport.
At the time, The Evening Capital, as the paper was then known, was located on Church Circle at Northwest street.
He quickly progressed from his office job to the print shop, where he spent the rest of his tenure. He was a composing room apprentice, and easily made the change from linotype machines and flat-bed presses to the present computerized system and high-speed press.
His first absence on the job was in April 1966 when a 24-hour virus broke his 43-year perfect attendence record. The Capital even noted this event in an article on April 14, 1966.
The newspaper also wrote an editorial on Oct. 2, 1985, on his retirement, noting his "amazing and commendable record. He was an anchor of experience and stability in our operation, and he will be missed. Biggie Harrison was a credit to The Capital, and remains a credit to this community."
Born Sept. 1, 1909, he was the son of the late Wililam Henry and Sadie Rose Tall Harrison. He left school after the eighth grade to earn a living after his father was injured.
Mr. Harrison was a longtime member and officer of Annapolis Elks Lodge 622. He also enjoyed traveling.
He was married
in 1937 to Irma Harrison who died in 1986. In 1987 he married
Wyvona M. "Pete" Harrison.
Also surviving are a stepson, Daile Sumrall of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, George E. Harrison of Eastport; one sister, Virginia Hahn of Deland, Fla.; two grandchildren, Rodney Sumrall and Lara Carter, and one great-grandson, Griffin Carter, all of Tallahassee, Fla..
Mr. Harrison was the brother of the late Edger and William "Billy" Harrison.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., where services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Glen Haven cemetery in Glen Burnie.
