Carrie V. Hoover
KABLETOWN, W.Va. - Carrie Virginia Hoover, 88, of North Rocks Farm, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, at her home.
Born April 23, 1908, in Kingwood, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George W. and Florence Fortney White.
Her husband, Dickerson N. Hoover, died in 1992.
She assisted her husband in the operation of North Rocks Farm.
She was a former member of St. Georges Episcopal Chapel in Glenn Dale, Md.
She is survived by one daughter, Dianna L. Gray of Kabletown; one son, Hugh N. Hoover of Kabletown; two sisters, Evelyn Sterling of Morgantown, W.Va., and Juanita Peach of Kingwood; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Peggy Pyle, Doris Stone and Iola Watring; and three brothers, George Elbert White, Otis White and Edison White.
Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town.
The Rev. Michael W. Hopkins will officiate.
Burial will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Cemetery, U.S. 522 South, Winchester, Va.
Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Donald L. Flora
WILLIAMSPORT - Donald Lewis "Smokey" Flora, 70, of 11009 Celeste Drive, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born March 6, 1926, in Clear Spring, he was the son of the late Lewis Berlin and Julia Carbaugh Flora.
He had been employed by M.P. Moller Pipe Organ, Hagerstown, for more than 40 years, retiring in 1988.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Army.
He attended Calvary Temple in Williamsport.
He is survived by two sisters, Catherine Bingaman of Pinesburg and Faye Miller of Hagerstown; two brothers, Ray E. Flora of Hagerstown and David Flora of Chambersburg, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Kenneth Flora.
Memorial services will be today at 7 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport.
The Rev. Charles Barney will officiate.
Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
The family will receive friends after today's memorial service until 9 p.m.

Hazel R. Stotelmyer
Hazel Ruth Stotelmyer, 82, of 17014 Bentwood Drive, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Jan. 23, 1915, in Quincy, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. Stotler and Prudence N. Brumbaugh Stotler Newman.
Her husband, Leo Glen Stotelmyer, died in 1969.
She was a member of the Brethren Church.
She attended Adult Day Care at Ravenwood Lutheran Village.
She is survived by two daughters, Patsy A. Shipley of Williamsport, and Dorothy J. Blair of Hagerstown; two sons, Charles J. Stotelmyer and Harry G. Stotelmyer, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Lucille Christophel of State Line, Pa.; one brother, Ralph T. Stotler of Hagerstown; 20 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Lee Stotelmyer.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown.
The Rev. Martin L. Rothenberger will officiate.
Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Barbara J. Stull
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Barbara J. Stull, 48, of 2918 Country Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born June 10, 1948, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Richard and Josephine Coover Wenger of Chambersburg.
She was a 1969 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
She was a member of Grace Brethren Church in Chambersburg.
She also was a member of Multiple Sclerosis Society of Harrisburg, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Paul F. Stull, whom she married July 25, 1971; one daughter, Melody D. Stull, at home; and one son, William A. Stull, at home.
Services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
The Rev. David L. Manges will officiate.
Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mailon T. Bracken, 77, of 3166 Landfill Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born June 11, 1919, in Belsano, Pa., he was the son of the late Thomas and Hazel White Bracken.
He was a coal miner in Colver, Pa., and was last employed as a custodian at Franklin County Nursing Home in Chambersburg.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Mary M. Cubeta Bracken; two daughters, Bonita L. Hancock of Chambersburg, and Janet M. Naugle of Fayetteville, Pa.; two sons, Ned T. Bracken of Chambersburg, and Gary P. Bracken of Orrstown, Pa.; one sister, Viola Stiles of Indiana, Pa.; two brothers, Norman Bracken of Colver, and Clyde Bracken of Almond, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
The Rev. John Lonza and the Rev. LeRoy W. Wiley will officiate.
Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg.

Terrance A. Long
LAUREL, Md. - Terrance Alan Long, 24, of Laurel, died Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, at his home.
Born June 29, 1972, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Louise Martin Long of Ijamsville, Md., and the late Maynard Eugene Long.
He was employed as a roofer by Gary Horton Co., Laurel.
He was a member of Frederick Church of the Brethren, Frederick, Md.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Debra Kay Hasty of College Park, Md., Melissa Ann Brown of Bloomington, Ill., and Andrea Marie Long of Ijamsville; maternal grandparents, Hege and Luvinia Martin of Hagerstown; paternal grandparents, Joseph F. and Catherine H. Long of Greencastle, Pa.; six nieces; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Ave., Frederick.
The Rev. Paul Mundey, the Rev. Lerry Fogle, and the Rev. Kim McDowell will officiate.
Burial with graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Welsh Run Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Mercersburg, Pa.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - David Russell Salzlein, 83, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1997, at his home.
Born July 7, 1913, in Jersey City, N.J., he was the son of the late John and Ida Muehler Salzlein.
He was previously employed by Curtis Wright Aviation formerly in New York, and was a retired private investigator.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army.
He attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.
He was a member of the American Legion in New York.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Claiborne Salzlein; two stepsons, Robert J. Longeill of Voluntown, Conn., and David J. Longeill of Red Creek, N.Y.; one step-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by eight sisters and four brothers.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St., Berkeley Springs.
The Rev. Mary Stevens will officiate.
Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg, with graveside military services conducted by American Legion Post 14 of Martinsburg.
