Emma B. Kidrick
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Emma Bernice Kidrick, 76, of Shepherdstown, died Friday, Feb. 14, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Oct. 14, 1920, in Bakerton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William and Sadie Thomas Dozier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lee Kidrick Sr. on Nov. 23, 1996.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. John's Baptist Church, Shepherdstown, where she was a member of the Willing Workers and was an usher.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Kidrick of Shepherdstown; three sons, Edgar L. Kidrick Jr. of Martinsburg, Charles N. Kidrick and Ronald W. Kidrick, both of Shepherdstown; one sister, Fannie Washington of Shepherdstown; 18 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Norma G. Grantham; three sisters, Sadie McDonald, Maggie McDonald and Nellie Clark; and three brothers, Richard Dozier, Preston Dozier and George Dozier.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe Liles will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church.

Helen M. Mills
Helen Marie Mills, 86, of 43A Elgin Blvd., Hagerstown, and formerly of Big Pool, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born Oct. 1, 1910, in Cito, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George Henry Ruben and Phoebe Frances Paylor Carbaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold James Mills, in 1975.
She was formerly employed by Speilman's Tomato Factory, Big Pool, and the Washington County Hospital Dietary Department.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by six daughters, Susan R. Bussard Hornbaker of Mercersburg, Pa., Frances E. Hart of Big Spring, Mary A. Rankin of Maugansville, Patricia A. Henson, Emma M. Reger, both of Big Pool, and Lizzie M. Hutzler of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; three sons, Amos H. Mills, Albert H. Mills, both of Hagerstown, and Edgar T. Mills of Clear Spring; two sisters, Hazel Taylor and Phoebe F. Helman, both of Hagerstown; one brother, William R. Carbaugh of McConnellsburg, Pa.; 24 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Gladys Marie Mills, Sarah May Mills and Verda Mills; three sisters, Nora Ellen Carbaugh, Mary Maudaline Carbaugh and Thesta A. McQuade; two brothers, Donald R. Carbaugh and Henry Lloyd Carbaugh; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Betty Jones and the Rev. Robert Timmons officiating. Burial will be in Clear Spring Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425, S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The funeral home will be open Sunday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
Ruth A. B. Talhelm
STATE LINE, Pa. - Ruth Ann Baker Talhelm, 91, of 358 Reid Road, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, at her home.
Born May 19, 1905, in Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Jacob and Maude Ann Barnhart Baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester D. Talhelm, on March 24, 1970.
She had been employed by the former Stanley Co., Chambersburg, Pa., for 17 years. She also had been employed by the former E.J. Fennel Co., Hagerstown, and was a cook at the former Family Restaurant, Greencastle, Pa.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, where she attended the fellowship group.
She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the State Line Ruritan Club; Ladies Auxiliary of Leitersburg Fire Co. and the Leitersburg Grange Chapter 361, Leitersburg. She enjoyed sewing and baking.
She is survived by one foster daughter, Joanne Ott of Greencastle; one granddaughter, Melissa Shildt of Greencastle; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. David M. Buchenroth will officiate. Burial will be in the Beautiful View Cemetery, State Line, Md.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Elizabeth W. York
HALFWAY - Elizabeth "Betty" Webb York, 57, of 11213 Piper Lane, Hagerstown, died Friday, Feb. 14, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born May 13, 1939, in Smithsburg, she was the daughter of the late Sarah D. Webb.
She was a 1957 graduate of Williamsport High School. She attended Hagerstown Junior College and Martinsburg Business College.
She was employed as a secretary by McCleary & Earley until her retirement in 1996.
She was a member of St. James Brethren Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for nearly 30 years.
She also was a member of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W. York Sr.; one daughter, Kelly L. York, at home; one son, Kevin L. York of Halfway; one stepdaughter, Kathy Lamp of Ferguson, N.C.; one stepson, Charles W. York Jr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, Samuel "Sonny" Webb of Williamsport and David L. Webb of Rouzerville, Pa.; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandson.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Roger "Leon" Webb.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. James Brethren Church, 17718 Lappans Road, St. James. The Rev. Brian Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

Inez M. McIntyre
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Inez Mae McIntyre, 94, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, at Heartland Nursing Home.
Born May 13, 1902, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Leonard and Amanda Richards Shriver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris J. "Mickey" McIntyre.
She was employed by Interwoven Mills for many years.
She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and Sunday School Class 22 of the church.
She is survived by one sister, Helen Virginia Foltz of Martinsburg; one brother, Paul Shriver of Martinsburg; four nieces; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dicy Watson and Grace Shriver; and two brothers, Lester Shriver and Calvin Shriver.
Services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Robert T. Wellman will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight.
Roy C. Zimmerman
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Roy C. Zimmerman, 72, of 1524 Springview Drive, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Jan. 15, 1925, in Orrstown, Pa., he was the son of the late Carl and Clara Shriner Zimmerman.
He was a 1942 graduate of Shippensburg High School.
He was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, retiring as supervisor of cycle inventory in both storage and LSSA after 35 years of employment.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during World War II.
He was a life member of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, Chambersburg; a former member of American Legion, Shippensburg, Pa.; Amvets Post 224, Chambersburg and Landis-McCleaf Marine Corps League, Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Stancil Zimmerman, whom he married May 2, 1983; one daughter, Margaret J. "Peggy" Pine of Chambersburg; one sister, Dorothy Mowery of Chambersburg; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son; one sister; and three brothers.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Jerry D. Carbaugh will officiate.
Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, with military graveside services conducted by members of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599.
There will be no viewing. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Sanford D. Brady
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Sanford Delbert Brady, 77, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, at his home under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born Aug. 7, 1919, in Weston, W.Va., he was the son of the late George L. and Alice Pratt Brady.
He was a former member of the C.C. Camp and had worked in construction until his retirement.
He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosa Lee Clark Brady; two daughters, Linda Ann Scofield and Patricia Elaine Spiker, both of Inwood, W.Va.; two sons, Roger Delbert Brady of Moundsville, W.Va., and James David Brady of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one sister, Cora O'Dell of Summersville, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Pastor Harvey M. Bane will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.
Lucille E. Detrow
Lucille Elaine Detrow, 80, of 20833 Mount Aetna Road, Hagerstown, died Friday, Feb. 14, 1997, at her home.
Born June 4, 1916, in Surry County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert Fred and Beulah N. Ashburn Forkner.
Her husband, Levi Willis Detrow, died in 1996.
She was a 1934 graduate of Hagerstown High School and attended Columbia Business College.
She was a member of Beaver Creek Christian Church of the Brethren, and the Mothers Daughters Organization. She also was a teacher in the Adult Sunday School.
She was a charter member of Chewsville Lioness Club, and a member of Chewsville Lions Club, Church Women United, Auxiliary of the Fahrney-Keedy Home and Washington County Historical Society.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda E. Bingaman of Hagerstown; three sons, Fred D. Detrow and Dale R. Detrow, both of Hagerstown, and Kenneth K. Detrow of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one sister, Corliss Shafer of Hagerstown; one brother, Robert Fred Forkner Jr. of Moorefield, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one step-granddaughter; and two step-great-granddaughters.
Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro. The Rev. David Eberly will officiate. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery.
