William F. Henry
FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - William Francis Henry, 46, of Falling Waters, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 4, 1950, in Brownsville, Pa., he was the son of Wilferd F. and Loys R. Cunningham Henry of Weston, W.Va.
He was employed by Bell Atlantic for 25 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church, Falling Waters.
He was a scoutmaster for Troop 16 of Shenandoah Council, Boy Scouts of America.
He was a member of Telephone Pioneers; Weston Lodge 10, A.F.&A.M.; Scottish Rite and Nemesis Temple of the Shrine.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jeanellen Thompson Henry; three daughters, Heather Marie Henry and Amanda Leigh Henry, both at home, and Sarah E. Henry of Inwood, W.Va.; two sons, William Russell Henry and James Matthew Henry, both at home; three sisters, Patricia Wiley of Hurdle Mills, N.C., Linda Fox of Weston, and Ellen Keith of Creedmoor, N.C.; two brothers, Rodney Henry of Orlando, Fla., and Michael Henry of Cedar Grove, N.C.; one granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church, off Grade Road, Falling Waters. The Rev. Don Gribble will officiate. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, W.Va., today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Louise H. Beekley
WILMINGTON, Del. - Louise H. Beekley, 62, of Surrey Park, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996, of cancer at Wilmington Hospital.
She was a 1956 graduate of Smith College.
In 1957, she went to Wilmington where she established the music therapy department of Delaware State Hospital. As a homemaker, she was involved in many church and community activities.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, John S. Beekley Jr.; one daughter, Lisa B. Arnold of Towson, Md.; one son, John S. Beekley III of San Jose, Calif.; three sisters, Virginia H. Achey of Greensboro, N.C., Julie H. McPartlin of Schenectady, N.Y., and Hester Henry of Southbury, Conn.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert E.H. Beekley.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church on Mt. Lebanon Road off Concord Pike, Wilmington. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Ticonderoga, N.Y.

Charles D. Biser
CASCADE - Charles Delbert Biser, 74, of 14559 Pennersville Road, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Jan. 7, 1922, in Ringgold, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Elizabeth Grossnickle Biser.
He was employed as postmaster at the Cascade Post Office for 28 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and in the U.S. National Guard in Hagerstown.
He was a member of Germantown Church of God in Cascade.
He also was a member of Acacia Lodge 155 F.&A.M., where he was a past master.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline Laura Davis Biser, whom he married Feb. 15, 1941; three sons, Ronald W. Biser of Thurmont, Md., C. Delbert Biser Jr. of Waynesboro, Pa., and Michael R. Biser of Cascade; two sisters, Elizabeth Stine of Waynesboro, and Margaret Pryor of Nevada; one brother, Carroll Biser of Rockville, Md.; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Jordan, June Oaks and Rae Sipes.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Germantown Church of God, 16924 Raven Rock Road, Cascade. The Rev. Paul Tobias will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Lena V. Whitacre
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Lena Victoria Whitacre, 84, of Charles Town, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996, at Knott Nursing Home, Charles Town.
Born Aug. 15, 1912, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Helen V. Moler Myers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Allen Whitacre, in 1979.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town, and a former member of Susanna Wesley Class.
She is survived by three sisters, Katherine Tutwiler of Clarksburg, W.Va., Mary Turdell of Baltimore and Ruth Creager of Waynesboro, Pa.; one brother, Raymond S. Myers of Halltown, W.Va.; one granddaughter; one grandson; a cousin; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Thurman Lee Whitacre; two sisters, Helen M. Milton and Margaret Myers; and four brothers, Calvin Lee Myers, Lewis Myers, Franklin Myers and Frederick Myers.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. Dee-Ann Dixon will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Miriam K. Atwood
WILLIAMSPORT - Miriam Kirk Atwood, 85, of 16505 Virginia Ave., died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996, at Homewood Retirement Center, Williamsport.
Born Aug. 5, 1911, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late David and Nellie Gerbig Kirk.
Her husband, Benjamin Gibson Atwood, died in 1979.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hagerstown, and of the church choir.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Brown of Westerville, Ohio, and Nancy Hamilton of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Winafred Ascanio of Merritt Island, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Barron; and one brother, Charles A. Kirk.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Christopher J. Chantelau will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 p.m.

William R. Motz Sr.
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - William Ray Motz Sr., 88, of 400 Clayton Ave., died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996, at his home.
Born Nov. 11, 1907, in Ringgold, he was the son of the late John F. and Elsie Frances Miller Motz.
He was a 1926 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
Following high school graduation, he was employed at Landis Tool Co. in Waynesboro as a timekeeper, and as manager of the company's print shop. Prior to retiring in 1973 with 46 years of service, he served as paymaster and assistant to President M.A. Hollengreen.
He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro, and attended Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church in Waynesboro.
He also was a member of B.P.O. Elks No. 731 and Eagles Club Inc., both in Waynesboro, and National AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Huff Motz, a resident of ManorCare in Chambersburg, Pa., whom he married Aug. 11, 1928; one sister, Sarah J. Mouer of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, W. Christopher Motz and Katherine M. Motz, both of Waynesboro, and W. Chad Motz of Thorburn, Nova Scotia; one great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dr. William Ray Motz Jr.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Richard L. Thorp will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Allen B. Henry
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Allen Britt Henry, 57, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born March 7, 1939, in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lester and Edith Britt Henry.
He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Everhart Henry; one daughter, Renee Parsons of Glengary, W.Va.; two sons, Timothy Henry and Todd Henry, both of Martinsburg; one sister, Dorothy Henry of Hedgesville, W.Va.; one brother, Lester Henry of Cherry Run, W.Va.; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Butts.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Greenway Cemetery in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The Rev. Hennis Fox will officiate.
A viewing will be held at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St., Berkeley Springs, today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Richard P. Murphy
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Richard P. "Dick" Murphy, 66, of 11324 Country Club Road, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 18, 1930, in Lorton, Va., he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Gertrude S. Shepherd Murphy.
He was a 1947 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, Alexandria, Va. He received his bachelor of arts degree from William and Mary College in 1950. He played football for the college.
He was a sales manager for Koons Organization Auto Dealers in Falls Church, Va., and then became general manager for Chris Hanburger Ford Dealership in College Park, Md. After moving to Waynesboro, he owned and operated the Ford and Mercury dealership. Prior to retiring in 1993, he owned and operated Murphy's Auto Sales in Zullinger, Pa.
While living in Virginia, he was a life member of Pohick Episcopal Church, Lorton. After moving to Waynesboro, he became a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
He was a charter member of Bailey's Lions Club in Crossroads, Va., and a member and past president of Bailey's Volunteer Fire Co. for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce S. Smith Murphy, whom he married on May 7, 1966; two sons, R. Thomas Murphy and Scott H. Murphy, both of Waynesboro; one brother, Judge William R. Murphy of Mary Point, Va.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle S. Murphy.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pohick Episcopal Church, Lorton. The Rev. James White and the Rev. Stephen D. Harris will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, today from 7 to 9 p.m.
