BOONSBORO - Pauline Catherine Summers, 90, a resident of Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, and formerly of 413 N. Main St., who died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996, is survived by a brother, Floyd Reeder of Adamstown, Md.
Susanna E. Mills
BOONSBORO - Susanna Elizabeth Mills, 78, formerly of 14004 Mercersburg Road, Clear Spring, and a resident of Reeder's Memorial Home, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 3, 1919, in Clear Spring, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius Samuel and Anna Virginia Henson Drury.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Mills Sr., in 1952.
She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine Bigler of Clear Spring, Betty Guyer of Hagerstown and Catherine Perkins of Williamsport; two sons, John Franklin Mills Jr. and Franklin Truman Mills, both of Clear Spring; two sisters, Mary Barr of Boonsboro and Louise Mumma of Clear Spring; three brothers, Thomas Drury and Daniel Drury, both of Hagerstown, and Carl Drury of Clear Spring; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Esther Helen Sword; two sons, James Russell Mills and Lewis Denton Mills; three sisters, Jo Marie Byers, Sally Ann Henson and Prudence Drury; two brothers, Martin Drury and George Drury; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
The Rev. William Stoner and the Rev. Robert E. Timmons will officiate.
Burial will be in Clear Spring Mennonite Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Marguerite J. Pensinger
Marguerite J. Pensinger, 77, of 157 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown, died Friday, Feb. 14, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born in Randolph County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mamie B. Elbon McNeal.
Before retiring, she was employed by Rosens Department Store and Fleishers Department Store.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hagerstown.
She is survived by one son, John L. "Jack" Pensinger of Wheaton, Md.; one sister, Mary Eileen Frieze of Hagerstown; two brothers, J. Paul "Ears" McNeal and Thomas R. McNeal, both of Hagerstown; and two nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 W. Washington St., Hagerstown.
The Rev. George Limmer will be celebrant.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m.
Martha E. Brown
Martha Ellen Brown, 75, of 414 E. Franklin St., Hagerstown, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 1997, at Reeder's Memorial Home, Boonsboro.
Born Aug. 19, 1921, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel R. and Helen Mae Rohrer Nunamaker.
She was a retired secretary at Washington County Hospital Emergency Room.
She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Williamsport.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Wolfe of Hagerstown; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Wolfe of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel G. Nunamaker and Kenneth Nunamaker.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Mt. View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
The Rev. James E. Swecker will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
Alice E. Long
Alice E. Long, 83, of 18630 Crestwood Drive, Hagerstown, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 1997, at Clearview Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 16, 1913, in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Francis A. and Helen Evelyne Long.
She retired after 45 years as a senior analyst with the Prudential Insurance Co.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Nutley, N.J.
She is survived by one niece, Kathleen A. Rawe of Hagerstown; one nephew, Harry T. Devine of Mechanicsville, Va.; two great-nieces; and four great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hanover, N.J.
There will be no visitation.

John D. Riley
ZULLINGER, Pa. - John Daniel Riley, 76, of Zullinger, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 1997, at Waynesboro Hospital, Waynesboro, Pa.
Born Nov. 4, 1920, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Bion Stanley Riley and Grace M. Calimer Monn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Grace Monn Riley, in 1966.
He was employed as a laborer by Bonded Applicators of Waynesboro for many years.
He was a veteran of World War II and served with the U.S. Army military police in Hawaii.
He was a member of Waynesboro Fish and Game Protective Association.
He is survived by one sister, Nellie V. Geddes of Greencastle, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Monn; two brothers, Bion E. Riley and Stanley E. Riley; and stepfather, Maurice M. Monn.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
Pastor Roger K. Myers will officiate.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Quincy, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Margaret V. Fries
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Margaret V. "Peggy" Fries, 77, of 551 Nelson St., died Friday, Feb. 14, 1997, at her home.
Born Dec. 7, 1919, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Gordon S. Lugenbeel Sr. and Lillian Schneider Lugenbeel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. "Bud" Fries Sr., in 1976.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
She was a member of First Ever Grand Lady of the Columbian Ladies Auxiliary of Chambersburg Knights of Columbus.
She was a past committeewoman of the Women's Democratic Club.
She was past president of Ladies Auxiliary 1314 National Association of Letter Carriers, Chambersburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Marguerite L. Fries of Chambersburg; three sons, Edward F. Fries Jr. of Library, Pa., Charles W. Fries of Chambersburg, and Kenneth M. Fries of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sisters, Ann Carroll Mull and Elizabeth Cramer, both of Chambersburg; two brothers, Gordon S. Lugenbeel Jr. of Littleton, Colo., and Thomas E. Lugenbeel of Chambersburg; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Edith B. Geary
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Edith Bell Geary, 96, of Charles Town, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born June 20, 1900, in Bakerton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Rankin William and Augusta Welsh Schell Geary.
She was employed by Fairchild Co. in Hagerstown.
She also had worked for Perfection Garment Co., Martinsburg.
She was a life member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, Molers Cross Roads, W.Va., where she was a member of Bethesda Women's Society.
She was the last of her immediate family.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Gertrude Holmes, Christine Shade and Margaret Daugherty; and three brothers, Norman "Bud" Geary, John Patrick Geary and William Sheldon Geary.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
The Rev. Donna Herritt will officiate.
Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.
