Steve W. Wilkerson
SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Steve Wendell Wilkerson, 55, of Dogwood Manor Estates, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1997, at Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, Va.
Born Oct. 21, 1941, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Oscar Lee and Virginia Johnson Wilkerson.
He was a graduate of Blair High School, Maryland.
He was employed as a foreman by Custom Sheet Metal Services Inc., Reston, Va. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Wilda Louise Kisner Wilkerson; one daughter, Ronda Lee Wilson of Charles Town, W.Va.; one son, Steve Wayne Wilkerson of Kearneysville, W.Va.; one brother, James Wilkerson of Maryland; four grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home. The Rev. James Chambly will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Max E. Parsons
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Max E. Parsons, 66, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1997, at Integrated Health Services of West Virginia, Charles Town.
Born Aug. 18, 1930, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Granthem and Hettie Barney Parsons.
He was a member of the Shenandoah Bible Church.
He is survived by two sisters, Hazel Poisal and Ethel James, both of Martinsburg, and two brothers, Ray Parsons of Dunnellon, Fla., and William Hairle Parsons of Hemit, Calif.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Sam Parsons.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Central Chapel Cemetery, Ganotown, W.Va. The Rev. Michael Bageant will officiate.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
Richard M. Burdette
SALEM, W.Va. - Richard Melvin Burdette, 74, of Route 2, Box 175, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1997, in Palm Harbor, Fla.
Born March 26, 1922, in Boyds, Md., he was the son of the late Joseph Melvin and Hattie Madora Burdette.
He was a 1942 graduate of Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Md.
He was formerly employed by Montgomery County, Md., Department of Public Works. He owned and operated Burdette Paving Co. in Germantown, Md., and Frederick, Md., until his retirement in 1970.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a charter member of Germantown Lions Club and was a former member of Maryland State Fox Hunter's Association.
He was a manager of the Germantown Brunswick Baseball Clubs and a player for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Louise Kline Burdette, whom he married April 5, 1946; one sister, Lucille Hawkins of Ellicott City, Md.; and one nephew.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville, Md. The Rev. Norman Kemmerer will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Richard C. Geesaman Jr.
ROUZERVILLE, Pa. - Richard C. Geesaman Jr., 48, of 11818 Broad St., died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1997, at Waynesboro Hospital, Waynesboro, Pa.
Born Jan. 16, 1949, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Rosalie "Rosie" M. Smith Geesaman of Rouzerville and the late Richard C. Geesaman Sr.
He briefly worked at J.J. Allman Co., Greencastle, Pa., then worked for Keystone Homes, Rouzerville. For several years, he was a custodian for the Waynesboro Area School District, retiring in the mid-1980s.
He was a member of Rouzerville Lutheran Church.
He also was a member of the William Max McLaughlin VFW Post 695 Auxiliary, Waynesboro.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by four brothers, Larry G. Geesaman of Maryland, Merle G. Geesaman of Waynesboro, Roger L. Geesaman and Kelly V. Geesaman, both of Rouzerville.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor Steven E. Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, Rouzerville.

Emery A. Harder
HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Emery Addison Harder, 58, of Harpers Ferry, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1997, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson.
Born Oct. 24, 1938, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Samuel Henry and Abbie Adeline Viands Harder.
He was a retired employee of Courtney's Auto Parts, Bolivar, W.Va.
He attended Halltown Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie M. Schwalbach; three daughters, Kim Engle of Halltown, W.Va., and Lisa Stillions and Judy McDaniel, both of Harpers Ferry; two sons, Scottie Harder and Sammy Harder, both of Harpers Ferry; three sisters, Marie Keyes of Middleway, W.Va., Eva Mae Rexrode of Maysville, W.Va., and Doris Wines of Ranson, W.Va.; two brothers, Kenneth Harder of Halltown and Henry Harder of Ranson; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia Rutherford and Carrie McDonald; and two brothers, Carroll Harder and Edward L. Harder.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Murrill Hill United Methodist Church, Murrill Hill, W.Va. The Rev. Henry L. Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Lutheran Cemetery, Bolivar.

Virginia E.N. Lutman
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Virginia E. Neely Lutman, 79, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 1997, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs.
Born Oct. 18, 1917, in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Sarah Whisner Neely.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Lutman, in 1968.
She was a member of Saint Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Berkeley Springs.
She also was a member of American Legion Post 60 Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Teresa Lerner of Berkeley Springs and Rita Mason of Raeford, N.C.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Tyson and Agatha Maranville; and four brothers, Vernon Neely, Walter Neely, Samuel Neely and Raymond Neely.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Saint Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. The Rev. John S. Ledford will officiate. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.

Ruth E.S. Exline
WARREN, Ohio - Ruth E. Souders Exline, 80, of 3948 Adrian Drive, N.E., died Thursday, Feb. 27, 1997, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren.
Born Aug. 22, 1916, in Big Cove Tannery, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Edward W. and Olive P. Gregory Souders.
She was employed as a buyer by May Co., Warren, for 25 years, retiring in 1972.
She was a member of Damascus Christian Church, Big Cove Tannery. She attended Central Christian Church, Warren.
She was a former member of the Altrusa Club, Warren. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross, Warren, and a member of the YMCA.
She is survived by her husband, Huber G. "Bick" Exline, whom she married Aug. 21, 1937; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Souders.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Damascus Christian Church. The Rev. Loy Garber will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock.
Charles R. Hornbecker Jr.
Charles Raymond Hornbecker Jr., 67, of 312 Chimney Stone Court, Hagerstown, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Sept. 13, 1929, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles R. Hornbecker Sr. and Margaret L. Shank. He was the stepson of Mabel J. Hornbecker of Smithsburg and the late Gerald W. Shank.
He was employed by E.I. Du Pont, Falling Waters, W.Va., retiring after 32 years.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Hagerstown.
He was an assistant scout master at St. Marks Lutheran Church for Troop 26. He had served as president and treasurer of North Hagerstown High School Band Boosters. He was a regular participant in the J.F.K. 50 Mile Ultra Marathon.
In addition to his stepmother, he is survived by his wife, Dolores M. Hornbecker; one daughter, Sue A. Sprecher of Hagerstown; four sons, C. Robert Hornbecker, Curtis A. Hornbecker and Douglas D. Hornbecker, all of Hagerstown, and Steven L. Hornbecker of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one sister, Virginia J. Lindsay of Smithsburg; one brother, Thomas Hornbecker of Smithsburg; 10 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. David B. Kaplan will officiate.
