Sandra K. Perry
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Sandra K. Perry, 51, of Hedgesville, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born June 29, 1945, in Oceana, W.Va., she was the daughter of Jane Stewart King of Oceana and the late Robert King.
She was owner and operator of Mountain Made Memories Arts and Crafts.
She was a member of the Hedgesville Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Bill Perry; one daughter, Janie Norris of Front Royal, Va.; three sisters, Alma Britton of Poquoson, Va., Sharon Burth of Orlando, Fla. and Connie Rankin of Monroe, N.C.; and one brother, Thomas King of Arlington, Va.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg, W.Va. The Rev. James Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be in the Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

George Eigenbrode
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - George Eigenbrode, 70, of 12846 Skiway Ave., died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Jan. 13, 1926, in Rouzerville, Pa., he was the son of the late Maurice L. and Alice B. Naugle Eigenbrode.
He was a 1943 graduate of Washington Township High School.
He was employed as a draftsman in the engineering department of Landis Machine Co., Waynesboro. He also worked for Fairchild Aircraft, Hagerstown, and Frick Co., Waynesboro. Prior to retiring in February, 1996, he worked at Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa., for 28 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II in the South Pacific.
He attended Fairview Avenue Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn M. Hall Eigenbrode, whom he married June 24, 1950; two daughters, Patricia D. Walton and Sue A. Petrie, both of Waynesboro; two sons, G. David Eigenbrode and Timothy H. Eigenbrode, both of Waynesboro; four sisters, Miriam Pryor of Newville, Pa., June Cool and Virginia Peiffer, both of Waynesboro, and Mary Jane Etter of Greencastle, Pa.; two brothers, Donald Eigenbrode of Hagerstown and John Eigenbrode of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Dorothy Jean Eigenbrode, and two brothers, Edwin Eigenbrode and Glenn Eigenbrode.
Memorial services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Fairview Avenue Brethren in Christ Church. Pastor John D. Fickett will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
There will be no public viewing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.

Martin L. Butts
Martin Luther Butts, 91, of 112 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 14, 1905, in Burkittsville, Md., he was the son of the late Martin Edgar and Carrie Lovitta Butts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Thelma Butts, on Feb. 18, 1983.
He retired from the Washington County Board of Education.
He was a member of the Faith Chapel.
He also was a member of AARP.
He is survived by three daughters, Martine G. Earley, Shirley J. Stickler and Thelma V. A. Rohrer, all of Hagerstown; one son, Terry M. S. Butts of Hagerstown; one stepsister, Zelda Howler of Boonsboro; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter.
Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Betty D. Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.

Mary C. Greenfield
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Mary C. Greenfield, 76, of Martinsburg, died Monday, Dec. 2, 1996, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.
Born May 29, 1920, in Romney, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Manning Haines and Maggie Shingelton Collins.
She was retired and formerly employed at Kings Daughters Hospital and Perfection Garment Co.
She was a member of the Patmos Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia L. Everitts and Betty J. Butler, both of Martinsburg, and Marilyn J. Light of Hedgesville, W.Va.; three sons, Charles E. Greenfield of Martinsburg, Richard L. Greenfield of Barnwell, S.C. and Larry D. Greenfield of Groton, Conn.; one sister, Nellie Pitcock of Toms Brook, Va.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Delores Greenfield; one son, Vernon W. Greenfield Jr.; and one brother, Dailey J. Collins.
Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Elder Robert Sweeney will officiate. Burial will be in Butlers Chapel Cemetery.

Clarence E. Heintzelman
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Funeral services for Clarence E. "Cork" Heintzelman, 57, of 44 W. 4th St., who died Saturday, Nov. 30, 1996, will be held today at 1 p.m. at Snyder-Lochstampfor Funeral Home Inc., corner of South Church and West Second streets, Waynesboro. The Rev. Wilbur Besecker will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant United Brethren in Christ Cemetery in Chambersburg.
Rachel V. J. Hafer
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Rachel Virginia Jennings Hafer, 77, of Shepherdstown, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1996, at the home of her daughter, Louise Hafer Corderman, of Fredericksburg, Va.
She grew up in Winchester, Va. and was the daughter of the late Herbert Henry and Louise Linthicum Jennings. She lived in Middleway, W.Va., and Round Hill, Va., before settling in Shepherdstown.
She married her husband, James Stanley Hafer, in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1973.
She was a graduate of Handley High School. She attended the Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore. She was employed by Glen L. Martin Co., Baltimore, as one of the first female draftsmen. She also was a real estate agent for Greg Didden and Associates of Shepherdstown.
During World War II, she joined the American Red Cross and served in England, France and Germany.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she served as Junior Warden of the Vestry and was a lay reader/chalicist.
She was an enthusiastic student of painting and a strong supporter of local artists.
She is survived by two more daughters, Jan Hafer of Bethesda, Md., and Annelise Hafer of Silver Spring, Md.; two sons, Karl Hafer of Chicago and Timothy Hafer of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one sister, Mary Jennings Hoover of Bridgewater, Va.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Jennings and Henry Jennings.
Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Shepherdstown. The Rev. G.T. Schramm will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the home of her son, Tim Hafer, 102 North Tennessee Ave., Martinsburg.

Mary E. Smedley
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Mary E. Smedley, 69, of 183 Cleveland Ave., died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1996, at her home.
Born Sept. 5, 1927, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Richard J. and Ida Mae Talhelm Smedley.
She attended Waynesboro schools.
She is survived by two brothers, Richard D. Smedley of Chambersburg, Pa., and Robert W. Smedley of Waynesboro; four nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia M. Wiles, in 1983.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. Pastor John Paul Holsey will officiate.
There will be no public viewing.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Wanda A. Davis
WILLIAMSPORT - Wanda Alberta Davis, 74, of 17 E. Sunset Ave., died Monday, Dec. 2, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 23, 1922, in Dargan, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Cohill and Faye Pauline Huff Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Clint "Johnny" Davis, in 1995.
She was employed as a supervisor by Maryland Ribbon Co.
She was a member of New Life Christian Ministries, Williamsport.
She also was a member of AARP.
She is survived by one daughter, Judith Ann Wagner, of Williamsport; one son, Johnny Oscar Davis, at home; one sister, Myrl Henson, of Hagerstown, and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Mirtin Johnson.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. Pastor Kenneth Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open Thursday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
Blanchard G. Shade
BOLIVAR, W.Va. - Blanchard G. Shade, 84, of Locust Grove Rest Home, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1996, at Integrated Health Services at Charles Town, W.Va.
He was born July 4, 1912, in West Virginia.
He was a retired coal miner.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was the last member of his immediate family.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Lutheran Cemetery in Bolivar. The Rev. Franklin Myers will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
