CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Anna Mae Heintzelman, 88, of Day's Personal Care Home, and formerly of 1267 Edenville Road, died Sunday, March 9, 1997, at Franklin County Nursing Home.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg.
The Rev. Charles Tolbert will officiate.
Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service on Wednesday.
Othie H. Cowger
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Othie Howard Cowger, 81, of Hedgesville, died Sunday, March 9, 1997, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born March 2, 1916, in Pickens, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lloyd and Melinda S. McCord Cowger.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by one sister, Marie Davidson of Buckhannon, W.Va.; and one brother, Nelson Cowger of Hedgesville.
Services and burial will be private.

LOS ANGELES - Mary Ellen Greenawalt, 75, of 7141 De Longpre, Hollywood, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997, at Royal Oaks Nursing Home in Glendale, Calif.
Graveside committal services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Norland Cemetery.

Alice E. Shipp
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Alice E. Shipp, 86, of 5118 Mountain Road, died Monday, March 10, 1997, at Menno Haven Nursing Home in Chambersburg.
Born Sept. 29, 1910, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Norman E. and Rebecca L. Martin Friese.
Her husband, Benjamin F. Shipp, died in 1993.
She was a member of Mount Olivet United Brethren in Christ Church, Fort McCord Road, Chambersburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Pool of Chambersburg; one son, Benny Eugene Shipp of Chambersburg; two sisters, Gertrude Wingert of Chambersburg, and Betty Eberly of Chambersburg; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg.
The Rev. Stan McCammon will officiate.
Burial will be in Norland Cemetery in Chambersburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Herman D. Beatty
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Rev. Herman D. Beatty, 90, of 1565 Frank Road, died Sunday, March 9, 1997, at Quincy United Methodist Home in Quincy, Pa.
Born Oct. 21, 1906, in Blairsville, Pa., he was the son of the late Milton D. and Kathryn E. Hughes Beatty.
He was a 1924 graduate of Langley High School in Pittsburgh.
He received his bachelor of arts degree from College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, in 1929, and graduated in 1932 from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh.
In 1932, he was ordained in the Presbyterian Church, serving churches in western and Southcentral Pennsylvania, retiring in 1958. He moved to Chambersburg in 1945.
While in the ministry, he worked for the Farm Bureau and youth group in western Pennsylvania until 1940.
In 1940, he became an agent for Farm Bureau Insurance Co., which later became Nationwide Insurance Co.
He was an elected auditor for Hamilton Township.
He was a member of St. James United Brethren Church in Chambersburg, and taught Sunday school.
He was a former member of the National Rifle Association and the Audubon Society.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy D. Dunn Beatty, whom he married Aug. 7, 1930; two sons, Joseph Albert Beatty of Carbondale, Ill., and James Arthur Beatty of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons; two nieces; one nephew; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Services will be private.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Indiana, Pa.
There will be no viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Clare C. Donegan
CUMBERLAND, Md. - Clare C. Donegan, 83, of Cumberland Nursing Home, and formerly of Syracuse, N.Y., and the Oldtown Manor Apartments, Cumberland, died Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at the home.
Born April 25, 1913, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Vincent J. and Frances K. Yarnell Donegan.
She was employed as a supervisor by Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cumberland.
She is survived by five sisters, Ursula M. Donegan and Patricia Hess, both of Cumberland, Nelda Millner of Atlanta, Eugenia McGarry and Janice McCarty, both of Hancock; and two brothers, Thomas F. Donegan of Hancock and Charles C. Donegan of Cumberland.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Katherine Anderson, Mary Donegan and Helen Fost, and one brother, Vincent J. Donegan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Hancock.
The Rev. George W. Glick will be celebrant.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock.
For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m.
The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Agnes C. Mills
Agnes Crea Mills, 79, of 62 E. Franklin St., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 27, 1917, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Lillie Virginia Thompson Newman.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Charles S. Mills; two daughters, Shirley Shirey of Williamsport and Alice Yeates of Hagerstown; one brother, Paul A. Newman of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Edna Newman, Mary Milon and Mildred Keech; two brothers, John E. Newman and Charles E. Newman; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Raymond H. Shriver will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
