Mary R. Stewart
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary R. Stewart, 81, of Village Square, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996, at her home.
Born April 16, 1915, in Letterkenny Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Saul and Mary Crouse Sollenberger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Stewart, on Nov. 26, 1991.
She was employed as a presser by the former Shirt Craft Co., Shippensburg, Pa., until her retirement. She also worked as a weaver for the former Grey Line Hosiery Co., Chambersburg.
She was a member of Prince Street United Brethren Church, Shippensburg.
She is survived by two brothers, Harry Elwood Sollenberger of Fayetteville, Pa., and Kenneth L. Sollenberger of Chambersburg; and one cousin who was raised with her, Dorcas E. Helmuth of Chambersburg.
Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Chaplain Vernon D. Isner will officiate. Burial will be in Air Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marion T. Roane
Marion T. Roane, 91, of 424 N. Prospect St., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996, at Williamsport Nursing Home.
Born March 24, 1905, in Corry, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Margaret Sweeney Gack.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arden E. Roane, in 1962.
She was employed by the W. H. Reisner Manufacturing Co. for 47 years, retiring at the age of 78.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas A. Roane of Hagerstown and Robert Z. Roane Sr. of Smithsburg; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, one brother and two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 W. Washington St., Hagerstown. The Rev. George Limmer will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Prayers will be offered at 6:45 p.m.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
Gonzalo Quinto
SMITHSBURG - Gonzalo Quinto, 85, of Bradbury Avenue, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1996, at his home.
Born June 13, 1911, in Canton, China, he was the son of the late Louis and Gin See Quinto.
He is survived by his wife, Wong See Quinto; four daughters, Mee Fong Lee, Lan Fong Wong, Funa Quinto and Lena Cline; and two sons, Manuel Quinto and William Quinto.
Services will be held Monday at Forest Lawn Mortuary, 21300 E. Via Verde Drive, Covina, Calif. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

George E. Ashbaugh Jr.
BOONSBORO - George Emanuel Ashbaugh Jr., 69, of 18722 Lappans Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1996, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born July 8, 1927, in Middletown, Md., he was the son of the late George Emanuel and Mary S. Boyer Ashbaugh Sr.
He was a retired brick and block mason.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Transportation Corps, having served during World War II.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of American Legion Post 202, Williamsport and Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Cooper Ashbaugh, whom he married Oct. 18, 1948; one daughter, Linda Shoemaker of Hagerstown; two sons, George E. Ashbaugh III and Daniel L. Ashbaugh, both of Boonsboro; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Ashbaugh, Lilly Ashbaugh and Helen Smith; and three brothers, Auston Ashbaugh, Kenneth Ashbaugh and John Ashbaugh.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Anne O. Weatherhold will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mark's Cemetery, Lappans.
There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Hector Noriega Jr.
BUNKER HILL, W.Va. - Hector Noriega Jr., 14, of Bunker Hill, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996, at his home.
Born Jan. 8, 1982, in Juarez, Mexico, he was the son of Hector and Rosa Chaparro Noriega Sr. of Martinsburg, W.Va.
He was a student at the Eastern Panhandle Training Center.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Rosmary Noriega and Elia Noriega, both at home; one brother, Frank Noriega at home; maternal grandparents, Elia and Jesus Chaparro of Chih, Mexico; and paternal grandparents, Hector and Guadalupe Noriega of El Paso, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. Jose Salazar will be celebrant. Burial prayers will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will meet at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg, at 10:15 a.m. today before going to the church.
Robert A. Conklin
Robert A. Conklin, 81, of Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown, and formerly of 7904 Witmer Court, Frederick, Md., died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996, at the nursing home.
Born Jan. 25, 1915, in Englewood, N.J., he was the son of the late August and Nora Brennan Conklin. He lived most of his life in Bergen Co., N.J.
He was a retired employee of New Jersey Bell in Bergenfield, N.J.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Thompson Conklin; two daughters, Doris Conklin of Highland Park, N.J., and Eileen Conklin of Wolfsville, Md.; and one grandson.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Wolfsville. The Rev. Fred L. Cudlipp will officiate.
Friends may call Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown, Md.
Marguerite L. McNamee
Marguerite L. McNamee, 90, of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 26, 1906, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Flora E. Turner Snook.
She is survived by one daughter, Dolores F. Harris of Garrett Park, Md.; one son, Ennis A. Mummert of Williamsport; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Charles J. Hull
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Charles J. Hull, 76, of 483 E. Baltimore St., died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa.
Born Feb. 27, 1920, in Thomas, W.Va., he was the son of the late William M. and Anna Shuman Hull.
He was a graduate of Allegheny High School, Cumberland, Md.
He was a retired drafting designer with Fairchild. Earlier he worked for Coca-Cola in Cumberland.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the Navy Reserve as a chief petty officer in 1980 after 20 years of service.
He was a member of the Harry D. Zeigler VFW Post 6319, Greencastle, and the U.S. Navy Fleet Reserve Association.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances E. Harr Hull; four daughters, Patricia Majewski and Rebecca Hess, both of Greencastle, Deborah Brand of Hagerstown and Theresa Bailey of Frederick, Md.; two brothers, Homer H. Hull of Cumberland and William B. Hull of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle. The Rev. Donald M. Bohn will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
There will be no public viewing.
Catherine J. Everts
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Catherine Julia Everts, 79, of Charles Town, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born March 17, 1917, in Harpers Ferry, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Betty Painter Kellson.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph M. Everts; and one son, Joseph W. Everts of Charles Town.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Darlene Everts, in 1947; and two sisters, Bertha Manuel and Mary Buzzard.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town. The Rev. James Smith will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
