Mabel P. Monn
QUINCY, Pa. - Mabel P. Monn, 93, of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 66 W. Main St., Fayetteville, Pa., died Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at the nursing home.
Born Feb. 28, 1904, in Scotland, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bertha M. Cook Williams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter W. Monn, on Feb. 3, 1976.
She was a housewife. She had worked as kitchen help at Fayetteville Elementary School.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Fayetteville.
She also was a member of the Auxiliary of Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Co.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth M. Brookens of 120 Hillside Drive, Fayetteville; one son, Walter W. Monn Jr. of 62 E. Main St., Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert J. Monn, in 1983; and an infant brother.
Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, Pa. The Rev. John L. Rauch will officiate. Burial will be in Quincy Cemetery.
Viewing will be held today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Katharine A. Harbaugh
Katharine A. Harbaugh, 95, of Colton Villa Nursing Center, Hagerstown, and formerly of 109 Fairground Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, April 7, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Sept. 22, 1901, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late David Edward and Mary Catherine Middlekauff Montgomery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Watson Harbaugh, in 1959.
She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Sunday School Class.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Richard W. Simpson will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pearl B. Taylor
Pearl B. Taylor, 93, of Colton Villa Nursing Center, and formerly of 11 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at the center.
Born Jan. 31, 1904, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sarah Davis Robinette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. Taylor, in 1966.
She was a member of Grave Brethren Church.
She is survived by five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two great-great-grandchildren; and a close friend, Evelyn O'Dell.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Sciaino; and one son, Allen Taylor.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert L. Dell will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Clear Spring.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

SHARPSBURG - Russell Edward Grams, 88, of 17724 Taylors Landing Road, who died Sunday, April 6, 1997, at Reeders Memorial Home, Boonsboro, was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Virginia McCauley Grams, in 1993.
Alcesta G.R. Creager
QUINCY, Pa. - Alcesta Gail Reed Creager, 93, of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 11523 Airport Road, Rouzerville, Pa., died Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at the home.
Born May 17, 1903, in Antrim Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late James William and Sallie Lawrence Gordon Reed.
She was raised as a farmer. She retired in the 1960s from Pangborne Corp., Hagerstown. She had worked at Fort Ritchie, Landis Machine, Fairchild Corp. and the Sewing Factory.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, Pa.
She also was a member of National AARP; AARP Local South Chapter at Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro; and AAA.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Thomas O. Creager of Chandler, Ariz., Rodney G. Creager of Cascade and Sue Ellen Smith of Ellicott City, Md.; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Edward Creager, on Aug. 1, 1992; and a sister, Mildred Louise Hardman.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, Pa. The Rev. Jay Saxe will officiate.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Donald Eugene Karper, 66, of Menno Haven Nursing Home, Chambersburg, and formerly of Michaux Manor Living Center, Fayetteville, Pa., died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born June 17, 1930, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Ambrose B. and Carrie Ickes Karper.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by two sisters, Helen G. Gross and Velva Jones, both of Chambersburg.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Neal O. Hively will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Thelma Elizabeth McBee, 86, of Hedgesville, died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born Aug. 13, 1910, in Cherry Run, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Molly G. McCullough Householder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Renzie Dowl McBee, on Aug. 13, 1983.
She attended Chestnut Grove School, Cherry Run, W.Va.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Snyder's Bible Chapel, Hedgesville.
She is survived by three daughters, Joan E. Potter and Patricia A. Fox, both of Berkeley Springs, and L. Kay Gassert of Lebanon, Pa.; two sons, Jackie L. McBee of Berkeley Springs and Douglas M. "Mac" McBee of Hedgesville; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, V. Rosalie Clingerman and F. Lorraine Butts; and three brothers, Daniel R. Householder, Samuel M. Householder and Paul W. Householder.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Snyder's Bible Chapel, W.Va. 9, Hedgesville. Pastor Joseph L. Mercer will officiate. Burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. The funeral home will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the convenience of friends.

Michael P. Myers
FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Michael Preston Myers, 31, of 156 Broadview Court, died Monday, April 7, 1997, in a traffic accident on Interstate 81 in Washington County.
Born June 28, 1965, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Preston L. and Helen Karn Myers of Hagerstown.
He was a 1983 graduate of Smithsburg High School. He was a 1988 graduate of Musician Institute in Hollywood, Calif.
He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church, Marlowe, W.Va.
He was a professional musician. He was employed by Food Lion.
He was a runner.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Cindy E. Myers; two daughters, Michele McKinney and Mellisa McKinney, both of Hagerstown; one son, Kristifer McKinney of Falling Waters; one sister, Teresa Myers of Oceanside, Calif.; paternal grandmother, Doris Mateer of Hagerstown; three grandchildren; and one niece.
Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church, Marlowe, W.Va. The Rev. Donald J. Gribble will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

William W. Lesh
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - William W. Lesh, 68, of St. Petersburg, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Monday, April 7, 1997, at Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg.
Born Dec. 26, 1928, in Wind Gap, Pa., he was the son of the late Layton O. and Laura M. Kemmerer Lesh.
He was a medical doctor, having practiced in Hagerstown before moving to St. Petersburg in 1991. He served as team doctor at Smithsburg High School and Westernport High School, Westernport, Md. He practiced medicine in Westernport for 13 years, and at St. Petersburg Free Clinic.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He attended Faith Covenant Church, St. Petersburg.
He was a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen J. Wynn Lesh; three daughters, Linda Miller, Susan Lesh, both of Hagerstown and Karen Arvidson of St. Petersburg; three sons, William Lesh Jr. of Seoul, South Korea, Rev. Thomas Lesh of Leesburg, Va., and Richard Lesh of Hagerstown; three sisters, Milicent Savercool of Bangor, Pa., Marie Williams of York, Pa., and Betty Riker of Sacramento, Calif.; two brothers, Roy Lesh of Spring Hill, Fla., and John Lesh of Pennsylvania; and 18 grandchildren.
