Abram J. Strite
Abram J. Strite, 89, of Mennonite Fellowship Home, 12349 Huyett Lane, Hagerstown, and formerly of Greencastle, Pa., died Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at Waynesboro Hospital, Waynesboro, Pa.
Born Aug. 28, 1907, near Leitersburg, he was the son of the late Andrew and Lizzie Landis Strite.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Eberly Strite, in December, 1988.
He was a farmer, butcher and meat cutter, having done custom butchering.
He worked for 10 years as a meat cutter at the former Rocky Ridge Farm Market, State Line, Md.
He retired from Strite's Warehouse, Greencastle.
He was a member of Mt. Olive Mennonite Church near Maugansville.
He was given national recognition as a breeder of registered Ayrshire cattle.
He is survived by two daughters, Velma E. Horst of Christiansburg, Va., and Alta Mae Bussard of New Market, Md.; five sons, Allen E. Strite of Clear Spring, Wayne G. Strite of Chambersburg, Pa., Garnet E. Strite of Greencastle, Lawrence A. Strite of Tylertown, Miss., and Clair A. Strite of Richland Center, Wis.; 35 grandchildren; 102 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by one son, Nelson L. Strite; one sister; four brothers; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive Mennonite Church.
Bishop Glenn Martin, the Rev. Ira Martin and the Rev. Arlin Eby will officiate.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle.
The family also will receive friends one hour before the service on Saturday.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
Sylvia C. Arwood
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Sylvia C. Arwood, 56, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs.
Born Feb. 6, 1941, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harry Sylvester and Lois Moser Noland Crouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Burke "J.B." Arwood on July 30, 1986.
She was a 1960 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She was a graduate of Strayer Business College, Washington, D.C.
From 1970 to 1986, she owned and operated Arwood's Antiques, one of the largest wholesale antique dealers on the East Coast.
From 1987, until her death, she owned and operated Villager Antiques, Harrisonburg, Va., K&A Antiques, the Old Factory Antique Mall, the Berkeley Springs Furniture Outlet and the Almost Heaven Fudge Shoppe, all based in Berkeley Springs.
She was a member of the Berkeley Springs Church of Christ.
She also was a member of the Morgan County Democratic Women's Club.
She is survived by three daughters, Lisa J. Hansroth of Charleston, W.Va., Kim A. Arwood-Slate and Nicole N. Arwood, both of Berkeley Springs; one sister, Lois Ann Metzger of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew; and one great-nephew.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs.
The Rev. Paul E. Cantrell and the Rev. Edwin E. Floyd will officiate.
Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs.
The funeral home will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday for the convenience of friends.

Peggy A. Clark
Peggy Ann Clark, 67, of 13636 Paradise Drive, Hagerstown, who died Monday, April 7, 1997, at Washington County Hospital, attended Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa., and the University of Maryland.
Marian K.E. Drumheiser
QUINCY, Pa. - Marian K. Eichelberger Drumheiser, 94, of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of Reading, Pa., died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at the home.
Born Nov. 26, 1902, in Springville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Pearl Worst Eichelberger.
She also had lived in New Holland, Pa., and Ronks, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson W. Drumheiser Sr., in 1944.
They were married in the early 1930s.
She was employed by Leiby's Restaurant and the cafeteria at C.K. Whitner Department Store, both in Reading.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Reading.
She is survived by one daughter, Janice M. Green Fisher of Shillington, Pa.; one son, Walter Glenn Drumheiser of Robesonia, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Emerson W. Drumheiser Jr., in 1986; and one grandson.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Forrest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
There will be no public viewing.

Pearl B. Taylor, 93, of Colton Villa Nursing Center, and formerly of 11 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, who died Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at the center, was a member of Grace Brethren Church.
Patrick H. Coleman
Patrick H. Coleman, of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born in Hoboken, N.J., he was the son of the late Harry and Caroline Worth Coleman.
He was employed by the Wright Aero Division of Curtiss Wright Corp., Wood-Ridge, N.J., as an administrative assistant to the manager of spare parts and production control, for 21 years.
He later worked for Aerospace Associates in Crawford, N.J., as sales manager for Domestic and Foreign Airlines and U.S. Military Officers.
In 1967, he moved to Hagerstown and worked for Fairchild Hiller Corp.
He was a sales manager of mobile homes for De Rose Industries.
He was a personnel manager and agent for Horner Manufacturing.
He was a professional recruiter at Jobs Unlimited.
He was a sales manager for the local chapter of Junior Achievement of Hagerstown, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Hagerstown.
He also was a member of BPO Elks Lodge 378 Hagerstown and Fountain Head Country Club, Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Stefanelli Coleman; two daughters, Kathleen Ricciardi of Cedar Knolls, N.J., and Barbara Kauffman Rhodes of Hagerstown; one son, Patrick W. Coleman of St. Louis; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Visitation will be held today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.

Frederick L. Keller
Frederick L. "Jack" Keller, 62, of Western Maryland Center, Hagerstown, and formerly of Westernport, Md., died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at the center.
Born Oct. 30, 1934, in Westernport, he was the son of the late Wilson T. and Ruth E. Raines Keller.
He had been employed by Kennys Market and Malc's Service Station, Westernport.
He is survived by two sisters, Betty Bowley of Laurel, Md., and Geraldine Wilkinson of Westernport; and one brother, Wilson E. Keller of Westernport.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Pattison; and four brothers, James Keller, Patrick Keller, Eugene Keller and Raymond Keller.
Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport.
The Rev. Sumner Sawyer will officiate.
Burial will be in Philos Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
