Regina G. McCann
Regina Graham McCann, 72, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at Colton Villa Nursing Center.
Born July 18, 1924, in Annapolis, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Haggett Graham.
She was employed by Dr. Ralph Williams as a secretary for 15 years.
She worked for Dr. J. Ramsey Farah as a secretary, retiring after 10 years.
She was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She was a past commander of the Civil Air Patrol, and was a member of the Appalachian Trail Club.
She is survived by four daughters, Kathleen M. Bachtell of Smithsburg, Linda M. Mulieri and Patty L. McCann, both of Hagerstown, and Peggy Ann Eyler of Williamsport; one sister, Mary Louise Roberts of Annapolis; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Andrew S. Mohl and the Rev. Jack Fullen as celebrants.

Ruth A. Powell
Ruth A. Powell, 77, of 12808 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown, died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born in Middletown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Willie and Grace Knodler.
She had been employed by Winter Street School in the custodial department.
She was a member of Miller's Tabernacle.
She is survived by her husband, Richard D. Powell; one daughter, Patricia A. Reed of Hagerstown; one son, William D. Powell of Hagerstown; and three grandchildren.
She was the last of nine children.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.
The Rev. C. Walter Hock will officiate.
Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
Christopher L. Stevens
THURMONT, Md. - Christopher Lee Stevens, 26, of 7007 B. Spahrs Quarry Road, died Saturday, April 12, 1997, in Frederick, Md.
Born Jan. 7, 1971, he was the son of Donald Lee Stevens of Thurmont and Cathy Campbell Baker of Frederick.
He was employed by Parker Free Construction Co.
He hunted.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, Christopher Lee Stevens Jr. and Shasta Sheree Stevens, both of Walkersville, Md.; one brother, Jeffrey Allen Stevens of Frederick; one half-brother, Gregory Menso of Frederick; maternal grandmother, Iris Campbell McCrea of Frederick; two aunts; and three uncles.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Chester and Florence Young Stevens.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
The Rev. Duanne L. Beck will officiate.
Burial will be in Prospect Church Cemetery, Mt. Airy, Md.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
George W. Christman Sr.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - George W. Christman Sr., 84, of 1939 Wayne Road, died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at his home.
Born July 23, 1912, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Alvie C. and Blanche Grove Christman.
He was a farmer from 1933 to 1967.
He was employed by Callas Construction Co. in Hagerstown from 1968 to 1980.
He was employed by Brechbill & Helman Construction Co. in Chambersburg from 1981 until his retirement in 1986.
He was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chambersburg.
He was a former member of Franklin County Farmers Association, Pennsylvania Farmers Association, Atlantic Breeder Cooperative, Inter-State Milk Producers Cooperative, Holstein Fresian Association of America, and the registered Holstein Cattle Association, Brattleboro, Vt.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred S. Helman Christman; three daughters, Florence E. Purnell and Hazel M. Zullinger, both of Chambersburg, and Shirley A. Bitner of Greencastle, Pa.; four sons, George W. Christman Jr., Richard E. Christman and Nelson D. Christman, all of Chambersburg, and Charles E. Christman of State Line, Pa.; three sisters, Edna Knoll and Catherine Knoll, both of Chambersburg, and Mildred Bigham of Fayetteville, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ambrose G. Christman and Warren P. Christman.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
The Rev. Warren Heintzelman and the Rev. Floyd E. Myers will officiate.
Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

Dorothy J. Shupp
WILLIAMSPORT - Dorothy Jean Shupp, 67, of 14724 Clear Spring Road, died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 17, 1929, in Pinesburg, she was the daughter of the late Ivan McAllister and Susie Leigh Holland.
She was employed by Maryland Ribbon Co. for more than 15 years.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Lee Shupp; one son, Terry Lee Shupp of Greencastle, Pa.; two sisters, June Shank of Williamsport and Nancy Carter of Boonsboro; three brothers, Jack Holland and Ray Holland, both of Williamsport, and Larry Holland of Elkton, Md.; and one step-grandson.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport.
The Rev. Jonathan Laye will officiate.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Clear Spring.

J. Carroll Tischinger
COCKEYSVILLE, Md. - Julius Carroll Tischinger, 86, of Cockeysville, died Thursday, April 10, 1997, in Towson, Md.
He was born May 22, 1910, in Baltimore.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mary Avery Tischinger.
He was employed as a credit reporter by Dun & Bradstreet.
He was a judge at horse shows.
He is survived by two daughters, Joan "Jay" Holmes of Hagerstown and Noel Avery Caron of Cockeysville; one son, John Tischinger of Parkville, Md.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Monday, April 14, at Texas United Methodist Church, Cockeysville.
Burial was in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Cockeysville.

Lester L. DeHaven
INWOOD, W.Va. - Lester Lee DeHaven, 65, of Route 2, died Monday, April 14, 1997, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born Sept. 12, 1931, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Arthur and Bessie Rodgers DeHaven.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Armbrester DeHaven.
He was a retired carpenter foreman at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
He served with the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Inwood.
He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Ann Ripple of Inwood; one son, Terry Lee DeHaven of Stephens City, Va.; two brothers, Lyndon DeHaven of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Arthur DeHaven of Hedgesville, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Carrie Kurtz, Stella Furley, Pearl Owens and Gertrude Bratt; and four brothers, Allen DeHaven, Earl DeHaven, Ray DeHaven and Melvin DeHaven.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg.
Pastors Devin B. Ward, Tim Butler and Kenneth Click will officiate.
Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.

Hasso G. Deiseroth
GERMANTOWN, Md. - Hasso G. Deiseroth, 56, of Germantown, and The Woods, Hedgesville, W.Va., died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Nov. 6, 1940, in Erfurt, Germany, he was the son of Wally Deiseroth of Germany and the late Harry Deiseroth.
He was a retired customer engineer for IBM.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Rena R. Killiches Deiseroth; and one brother, Peter Deiseroth of Duderstadt, Germany.
Services are private with burial at sea.
