Lillian H. Billmyer
SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. - Lillian H. Billmyer, 82, of Spotsylvania and formerly of Shepherdstown, W.Va., died Wednesday, April 23, 1997, at the Community Memorial Health Center, South Hill, Va.
Born March 17, 1915, in Page County, Va., she was the daughter of the late William Jackson and Lissie Lucas Hilliard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Billmyer, on Sept. 8, 1978.
She was a member of Berean Assembly of God Church, Shepherdstown.
She is survived by one daughter, with whom she lived for the past four years, Dorothy Billmyer Nicewarner; two sons, Robert Lee Billmyer Jr. of Kearneysville, W.Va., and Charles William Billmyer of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Dorothy May of Shepherdstown; one brother, Louis Hilliard of Martinsburg, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kimberly Sue Billmyer; three sisters, Eva Hockman, Alieese Mongan and Edna Turner; and eight brothers, Clarence Hilliard, Charles Hilliard, Oliver Hilliard, Paul W. Hilliard, Leo Hilliard, Lloyd Hilliard, George Hilliard and Herman Hilliard.
Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Raymond E. Jones and the Rev. Oscar Motilal will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rose V. Hoffman
BOONSBORO - Rose Viola Hoffman, 95, of Fahrney-Keedy Home, and formerly of Mt. Lena, died Thursday, April 24, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 20, 1901, in Funkstown, she was the daughter of the late Dammie Bowers Davis.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Myers, in 1923 and her second husband, Clarence Henry Hoffman, in 1969.
She was a homemaker and seamstress.
She was a member of Beaver Creek Christian Church.
She also was a member of Boonsboro Senior Citizens Association. She was a life member of ladies auxiliary to Clopper-Michael Post 10 American Legion, Boonsboro. She had been a volunteer at Fahrney-Keedy Home.
She is survived by one daughter, Marie Stottlemyer of Mt. Lena; two sons, Earl L. Hoffman of Mt. Lena and Ray L. Hoffman of Hagerstown; one sister, Vergie Hurd of Hagerstown; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Vera L. Onheisner; two sons, Carl L. Hoffman and Leon C. Hoffman; and one sister, Bertha Weidner.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, San Mar. The Rev. J. Mark Curran will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.

Glenn M. Heimer
Glenn M. Heimer, 72, of 21000 Leitersburg Pike, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, April 23, 1997, at his home.
Born Sept. 27, 1924, in Minneapolis, he was the son of the late Amos K. and Mary Sackett Heimer.
He studied electrical engineering at the University of Maryland.
He was employed by the Navy as a civilian for 24 years, chiefly on the hazards of electromagnetic radiation to personnel and ordnance. He headed the Electrical and Electronic Hazards Branch of the Safety Division of Naval Sea System Command, and represented U.S. interests in associated NATO committees. He retired in 1982, but continued to support his replacement as a private consultant until 1996.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, 14th Armored Division, he served during World War II in the European Theater. He was held as a prisoner of war for three months. He worked for five years in Japan, first in Gen. Douglas MacArthur's communication station and later teaching electronics at technical schools.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Midge B. Heimer; two daughters, Mary Heimer and Nansie Heimer; three sons, Crew Heimer, Kent Heimer and Lane Heimer; and five grandchildren.
His ashes will be scattered on a family farm in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.

PALMERTON, Pa. - Carmen D. Lascelle, 70, of Palmerton and formerly of St. Petersburg, Va., died Thursday, April 24, 1997, at Palmerton Hospital.
Born Sept. 9, 1926, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Carmen E. Marquez Magana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin T. Lascelle.
She was employed as a secretary by the Department of Defense, Fort Lee, Va.
She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia E. Hauze of Bethlehem, Pa., one son, Michael T. Lascelle of Clarkston, Ga.; one sister, Lucy Miser of Fort Myers, Fla.; two brothers, Anthony Magana of Stratford, N.J., and Michael Magana of East Rockaway, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. A mass will be said on Monday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Vincent Cronin will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Charles E. Aikens Jr.
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Charles E. Aikens Jr., 57, of Charles Town, died Thursday, April 24, 1997, at his home under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born March 15, 1940, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles E. and Dorothy V. Butts Aikens Sr.
He was a farmer.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Rogers Aikens; two daughters, Vickie Lynn of Daytona, Fla., and Terry I. Aikens at home; one son, Charles E. Aikens III of Martinsburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Lena Lemaster of Bunker Hill, W.Va., and Deborah Wolfe of Shepherdsville, Ky.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Marie Womer.
Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson, W.Va. The Rev. John Divico will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Helen L. Hawbaker
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Helen L. Hawbaker, 56, of 10470 Kasiesville Road, died Wednesday, April 23, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born Aug. 11, 1940, in Mercersburg, she was the daughter of Barbara Timmons Clark of Claylick, Pa., and the late Roy Wilbur Clark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin R. Hawbaker, on May 22, 1997.
She was employed for 19 years by J. Schoeneman Co., Chambersburg. She was a former employee of Wagner's Market and Uni-Mart, both of Mercersburg. She was last employed by Letterkenny Army Depot. She also baby-sat at her home.
She was a member of Kasiesville Bible Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Diane M. Stoner and Ellen Michelle Black, both of Mercersburg, and Sharon A. Luick of Roxbury, Pa.; one son, Barry R. Hawbaker of Mercersburg; two sisters, Mary Catherine Atherton of Mercersburg and Betty Daugherty of Fort Loudon, Pa.; five grandchildren; and her companion of eight years, Ronald E. Buterbaugh.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Kasiesville Bible Church. The Rev. James A. Dodge and the Rev. Ronald W. Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Welsh Run Brethren Cemetery, Welsh Run, Pa.

She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, Ranson, W.Va.
She also was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by her husband, Meridith E. Hill of Berkeley County, W.Va.; two brothers, Leonard E. Davis of Stanley, Va., and Harry L. Davis; and nieces and nephews.
