Grace B. Grimm
Grace Beeler Grimm, 92, formerly of 1218 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, April 28, 1997, at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro.
Born Dec. 9, 1904, in Braddock Heights, Md., she was the daughter of the late Stanley V. and Annabelle Beeler Dean.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Grimm, in 1968.
She was a member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren.
She was a former volunteer at Washington County Hospitals, the R.S.V.P. and Fahrney-Keedy Church Home.
She is survived by a foster son, Ernest R. Hoffer of Hagerstown; great nieces; and cousins.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. The Rev. Dean M. Miller will officiate.
There will be no viewing.

Adelia E. Mosco
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Adelia Elaina Mosco, 81, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, April 28, 1997, at her home.
Born Jan. 12, 1916, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Clara L. Colaizzi Mosco.
She was a graduate of Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, and did post-graduate work at Carlow College, Pittsburgh, St. Francis College, Loretto, Pa., and Washburn University, Topeka, Kan.
She was a Franciscan nun with the St. Francis Order of Pittsburgh, serving as an elementary school teacher from 1939 to 1974. She retired in 1981 as a clerical supervisor with the state of Maryland.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Berkeley Springs.
She is survived by three brothers, Anthony P. Mosco of Brooklyn Park, Md., Eugene V. Mosco of Berkeley Springs and Vincent E. Mosco of Belen, N.M.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Gina C. Ramer; and two brothers, Dante E. Mosco and Francis R. Mosco.
A funeral liturgy will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 116 S. Washington St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. John S. Ledford will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.
The family will receive friends at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs, today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., where a Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The funeral home will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today for the convenience of friends.
Helen K. Hoke
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Helen K. Hoke, 89, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, April 27, 1997, at Shawnee Springs Nursing Home, Winchester, Va.
Born Dec. 27, 1907, in Parkersburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Edwin R. and Sarah Wallace Kingsley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Hoke.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and St. Mary's Guild. She was formerly a member of the Altar Guild and the church choir.
She was a charter member of Olde Berkeley Garden Club; member of Junior League of Parkersburg and Chi Omega Society.
She is survived by two sons, Wallace K. Bishop and John B. Hoke Jr., both of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, Ann Alter, Jane Sandlin, Kathy Hoke and John Hoke; one great-granddaughter; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Fletcher.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 200 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Jack T. Sutor Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Dolores M. O'Neill
GERRARDSTOWN, W.Va. - Dolores McPhilomy O'Neill, 75, of Gerrardstown, died Monday, April 28, 1997, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born April 14, 1922, in Brisbin, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Hughes McPhilomy.
She was a retired dance instructor at Baltimore City Bureau of Recreation.
She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Inwood, W.Va.
She was a member of Gerrardstown Homemaker's Club.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Fintan B. O'Neill; one daughter, Carol Stachling of Baltimore; one son, William S. O'Neill of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, Rosedale Road, Martinsburg. The Rev. Brian Shoda will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

John P. Gray Jr.
COLUMBUS, Ohio - John P. Gray Jr., 72, of Columbus, died Thursday, April 17, 1997, at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus.
He was the son of the late John Peter and Sylvia A. Gray.
He retired from United Telephone Co. and Columbus Fire Department.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Linden Lodge 637 F&A.M.
He is survived by one daughter, Virginia; three sons, Gary Gray, Terry Gray and John P. Gray III; two stepdaughters, Sharon and Vickie; two foster daughters, Kathy Lester and Choo Clementz; one sister, Betty Henry of Williamsport; one brother, Robert Gray of Halfway; former wives, Catherine Gray and Barbara Ryan of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Masonic memorial service was held Wednesday, April 23, at Jerry Spears Funeral Home, Columbus.
Myrtle I. Swartz
Mytrle Irene Swartz, 81, of 222 Winter St., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, April 29, 1997.
Born in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late James Robert and Mary Ellen Kreps Alder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Swartz, in 1985.
She retired from Dorbee Manufacturing.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School class.
She also was a member of the West End Senior Citizens and Women's Auxiliary of Coffman Nursing Home. She was a former member of the Sunday school bowling league.
She is survived by one daughter, Delores Crabtree of Hagerstown; four sisters, Mary C. Morningstar, Ruth E. Semler, Jane W. Rock and Helen L. Brashears, all of Hagerstown; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Frances V. Hoover and three brothers, James R. Alder, Thomas E. Alder and William A. Alder.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. George W. Ennis and the Rev. Darryl C. Zoller will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Gregory L. Stump
TANEYTOWN, Md. - Gregory Lee Stump, 46, of Taneytown, died Monday, April 28, 1997, at his home.
Born July 30, 1950, he was the son of Nancy Alice Pryor Stump of Hagerstown and the late Phillip Lee Stump.
He received his A.A. degree in 1994 from Hagerstown Junior College.
He was employed as a sheet metal contractor in the air-conditioning business and was a Realtor in Ocean City, Md.
He was a Trekkie and fished and bowled.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three daughters, Jennifer L. Stump of Sykesville, Md., Lennea N. Stump and Holly A. Stump, both of Arbutus, Md.; two sisters, Cathy Hudson of Sykesville and Lissy Chapman of Fairplay; one brother, Jeff L. Stump of Warfordsburg, Pa.; eight nieces and nephews; and one great-niece.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Skiles Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, Md.

Verbie E. Czablewski
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Verbie Estelle Czablewski, 90, of Jefferson Village, Charles Town, died Tuesday, April 29, 1997, at Rose Hill Nursing Home, Berryville, Va.
Born June 16, 1906, in Big Island, Va., she was the daughter of the late James Alexander and Mary Seay Markham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Czablewski, on Oct. 19, 1989.
She was employed by the U.S. American Legion Office, Washington, D.C., until her retirement.
She was a member of Charles Town Baptist Church, Charles Town.
She also was a member of Jackson-Perks Post 71 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Charles Town.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Judy Mills and Cheryl Viands; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Maurice Bullis; one sister, Gracie Markham; and one brother, Harry Markham.
Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. Wyman Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
